THEREFORE with quotes, imo the timeline is that Shen Yuan recently picked up an already hefty PIDW and subscribed to start reading. As he read, he left vicious comments and reignited wank that was literal years old at this point, gaining renown for the flaming. As some point in his binge reading, Airplane looked closer into his comments, then laughed so hard he died because of them, leaving PIDW perhaps at a stopping point but technically unfinished. Think like the svsss donghua. Meanwhile, Shen yuan who has been caught up enough to demand even more than the daily updates, sees no updates and realizes this is the end, which is the ending since Airplane the author died, and was so pissed at the nothing ending (which again is nothing bc the author died before finishing it) that he then proceeded to die of rage.
