rewatched Batman Begins + the Dark Knight last night and i remember being so struck by the audacity of Jonathan Crane's "i said my drugs would take you places. i never said those were places you wanted to go"

like can you imagine going toe to toe against one of the most posh, out of place looking plugs youve ever met to confront him for ripping you off and all he has to say for himself was, "well you felt something didn't you?"

like yeahhh "sorry i cut your coke with trazodone, and i mean yeahhh i know that's mixing an upper with an downer and i knowww that can be bad. but also, have you considered thanking me instead?"

#oh jonathan. never change.#i have mixed feelings about cillian's scarecrow. but i think on rewatch im more positive regarding him than i used to be #like he IS wayyyy too *pretty* and conventionally attractive to really fit the character #but i do think he nails crane's subtle antisocial quirks/mannerisms and how dramatically different he is with and without his mask #and i do really love that #jonathan crane #the dark knight #batman begins #batman #batman villains #the scarecrow
