Something about Desmond that I’ve always appreciated was that like, he was a living breathing challenge to what the assassins had become yet it never felt like that was because he went again the core assassin ideologies. If anything, Desmond leaving the farm and choosing to put the assassins behind him (at least for a time) is truer to the core of the creed than most people seem to realize.
