#like the kiddads and original dads

Okay I have a LOT of thoughts. I finished all of the teens as cats (just the pcs) and will be explaining most of my thoughts i had during designing them. Idk how many other people in the dndads fandom used to be warrior cats kids but if you were, this post is made for you specifically.

Remember these are very stylized cats and their genetics will not work like real cat’s genetics do. As long as you keep that in mind we cool. Also all of the teens are apprentices and this is gonna be a long post so buckle in

Ok so Scary was arguably the easiest design for me, I struggled a bit with the stripes but I ended up really liking how they turned out. A lot of her fur look very sharp and pointy but actually have rounded edges bc she tries really hard to be edgy lol

I considered giving her black fur and markings but I liked the idea of her being a very muted brown so it looked like she has that type of fur, but really doesn’t. The skull stripes are just for fun, and the purple eye is a nod to how common she is designed with purple, and also the mix of love and fear. The marking over her eye is to represent eyeshadow if that makes sense?

I imagine her being in Riverclan, I was thinking Shadowclan at first but I really like the idea of this edgy and brooding teenager knowing Shadowclan is just that, but she’s not in that clan. Also, Riverclan is surrounded by water and guess which family is connected to water? That’s right, the Stamplers. Even though she is in Riverclan, she’s not originally from the clans. She and her mother were traveling loners and came across the clans, and Veronica met a Riverclan cat and decided they should join. Scary and Terry (still trying to come up with a warrior name) used to have the same name but Scary hated that so she changed hers to Scary.

Lincoln was a bit more difficult and I wasn’t sure really what to do with him? But I knew I wanted his fur to be brown and if he was just standing he’d be very tall and kinda lanky. He has the shortest fur out of everyone and is easily the fastest, and the only one who can keep up is Scary. Most of the stripes are nods to the fact he is a soccer player. The face stripes being face paint, the hind legs being socks and those leg shields soccer players wear that I have no idea what they’re called in english. The tail is also kinda like the socks I guess? Yeah. It’s what inspired the leg ones at least. The eyes are different colors because I liked the idea of including something to represent yellow and red cards. The red one is actually just a really bright amber that looks red.

He is in windclan, but was found by Grant and Marco as a kit on the edge of the territory. He was barely one moon and they very quickly decided they need to take care of him, but they couldn’t stay in the clan to do so. So, the two left their respective clans and raised him, but when he was older (still apprentice age) they let him join Windclan. So now he’s there. As for his name? I have not figured one out. At least not a prefix, but I think it would be really funny if his future suffix is kick

Taylor…. Taylor was such a struggle oh my god. Everything but the pose at least. I wanted to include black because I thought it’d fit him more?? But I didn’t know what to do for markings or if I should’ve even included markins and for a while I was considering making him a black and white cat but I didn’t like how that looked. Then I tried making him an albino cat because I gave him redish eyes (hinting at his demon heritage in canon) but I was like no. This is not Taylor. so I made him a fully black cat which I think is the look I like best?? Yeah.. Now for the markings. The biggest one is there because I wanted to include his jacket, and the ones on the hind legs are for boots and the tail one is just to blend it all in. The ears and head fur is kinda like his hair.

Okay so he’s in Thunderclan bc he should get to have his main character syndrome still and Thunderclan is my least favourite clan (mostly a joke) and I think all of the other Close-Foster-Freeman are also in Thunderclan, or at least they were before they died or left. Idk his family is so weird because of the whole timeline shift and I have no clue how to make that happen in a warriors au. So. Some help would be appreciated. His name is Bay because it sounds like Tay which.. Taylor. Yeah. I could go with his warrior name being Bayswift but. I think that is a bit on the nose?? Another option his having his suffix being infront of his prefix and then it could be Rapidbay

Normal was. Not really a struggle? Mostly with his body markings. I knew I wanted him to have an undertone of blue because of Teeny and blue being Love. Also why his eyes are very bright blue. The head markings were the easiest because it looks like he has a mask or helmet of some sort, and he has a lot more rounded features than everyone else. the body markings are also kind of like he’s wearing something? If that makes any sense at all. I also think he would look more like Rebecca than Lark and Sparrow, at least color wise, because then nobody would know who is actually his dad. And even if he did look like them, they are identical. Idk I just think it would be interesting if Hero looked like Lark and Sparrow and Normal like Rebecca because of the whole chosen thing and all. They are from different litters btw, but they were both the only ones from their respective litters.

Now if you’ve been keeping track you’d know he is in Shadowclan, and that is because opposite from Scary I think the idea of him being in this dark and brooding clan is hilarious because he is soo cheery and happy all the time and almost all of the cats in the clan dislike it. His mentor is (was) Tony Pepperoni. He is the only one with a mentor so far. I think he’s not really considered a part of the clan, because both Lark and Sparrow were originally born in Windclan and switched to Shadowclan, Sparrow for Rebecca and Lark for Sparrow. I think Rebecca would’ve joined the clan when she was a fully grown cat but still considered young in warriors terms, so around 20 moons which in real life is almost 2 years. So, he’s only a fourth clan cat. Now for his name I am not sure (again) but I think his suffix would be mask and his prefix.. maybe I’ll just google the most basic warrior cats prefix and take that one

i do like how these turned out, especially glenn and ron lol, i had a very clear view of big intimidating enchanted suit of armor and then rons little silly head poking out of the top of it lmao

and glenn is just went with cool ass tiefling bard...i like henry too but he looks pretty different from my usual design of him that it made it tough to not feel like im straying from his original character...though i think his story is pretty true to him,

i don't think i mentioned the fact that Hen also has the swirly mark but that one is from Bear and a...mysterious warlock he's working with now 😱 wonder who that could be lmao

darryl's story is a bit bland tbh so im thinking of adding more to him, as well as grant, i do think they have less of a backstory like the rest of them and their story takes place mostly when they meet the others,

henry & mercedes :(( tbh i have a plan for the moms as well...so mercedes is still wondering around, i mention she's a human but mercedes is also a witch!

druidic magic is severely uncommon in this universe, so most people are thrown off by hen & sparrow's displays of this magic, however it's more common in Oakvale, though Oakvale is very cut off from the rest of the world,

DNDADS !!!! I'm assuming you're asking me like . what it is n shit . if not . my b . bcs I am about to give you as big of an infodump as I can without spoiling anything lmao .

anyways hello my dear follower , my beloved dungeons and daddies (not a bdsm podcast) is my favorite thing ever <3 it's usually very loosely a dnd podcast , season three tho switches into the call of cthulhu system .

season one is 69 (nice) episodes about four normal world dads and their sons who all get sucked into faerun , a dnd world basically , through a portal while trying to go to their kids soccer game lmao . they end up losing their kids and basically the whole season is them trying to find their kids and then trying to find a way back home with tons of little side quests and detours that they take along the way . most of it is super comedic and lighthearted and it's also just fucking insane sometimes but it also has a lot of super compelling emotional moments and iughencmd it's so good oh my god .

season two is a continuation of the world created in season one , but now the players are playing as the teenaged grandchildren of their original dad characters , and it's heavily influenced by season one so you can't really listen to it on its own . season two is 50 smthin episodes of these teens basically trying to clean up the world after the things that their parents (aka , the kids from season one , aka , the kiddads) and their grandparents did between seasons to try and fix things and kinda ended up making everything worse cbnsndnsnd and it kinda starts off with the kiddads all going missing and suddenly these teenagers are supposed to be in charge of everything the kiddads were originally doing to fix everything . season two is I think a bit less comedic than season 1 , but it does have like . twice as many of those absolutely fucking insane moments lmao , and it does still have a lot of cool emotional moments and ougjfj it's all so good .

a lot of what I post abt usually has to do with this sort of untold season that happened between seasons with the kiddads . a lot of people are very attached to the kiddads , and to me a lot of it is bcs these are the characters we've known for the longest and we've seen them as kids and we see how the events of the first seasons shaped them into the adults they are in season two and man . it's just so cool . season two gives us a lot of small hints to stuff that happened between seasons , and we get a few flashbacks , but there's a lot of stuff that we don't know , and there's so much speculation abt how things happened and it's a very fun sandbox to play in chwndnsnmxx anyways .

season three started just a bit ago , there's 3 episodes so far . they switched who was the dm and so it's a new universe with no relation to the first two seasons , and could pretty easily be listened to on its own . season three is set at some point in the 1950s , and the four characters don't really have like . a solid thing they can all be described as . there's like . a teacher and a weird wife and a car salesman and a teenager . they're great . but it's these four characters who are all in a bowling league together and they're kinda figuring out that hey weird stuff is happening around here and there's monsters and just a ton of stuff and so far it is absolutely hilarious , I love it dearly <3 every character is just . fucking insane . and the dynamic is great , it's just awesome and I personally am having a blast with it so far

ok anyways . thats dndads lmao . if theres anything more specific you want to know literally pleaaaaase ask me and I will be soooooo excited to tell you cndnmxmdmd I'm completely and utterly obsessed with this podcast , I've listened to it . so many times . I will talk about it any chance I get , it's just great . I love it . and that's not even to mention the wonderful community here on Tumblr !!!! it's a relatively small fandom , so for the most part everyone at least recognizes everyone else , and everyone is just so awesome , ive made so many friends through this fandom , its great

unpopular opinion, i like season 2 a little bit more then season 1... i feel like people hate it for no reason, like they say the story is inconsistent which isnt necessarily true, like yeah season 1 was a very straightforward plot line -saving their sons- but season 2 is more complex and less straightforward, its about saving the world that their dads and granddads messed up but along the way things change, like how the doodler became this emotional teen but they still are going on the original plot line which is saving their (and the other) relm(s). i just think that people dont like change and got very much emotional attached to darryl, henry, glenn, ron and all the other npcs that we know and love, and since they arent there all the time people start to dislike the new season, also idk if this is 100% true as im not a patreon (someone pls give me money 🙏) but i think i heard from somewhere that anthony doesnt like season 2 as much as season 1, and i simply think that its the same reason as i said before, but he and everyone else has the right to their own opinion, i personality love season 2 more bc i can relate to it more being a teenager, and the fact i like the character dynamics a bit more, although i do miss paedon and erin o'neil.

also i am in need of more content with the kiddads bc they are super cool and i need to know more

Nick when he was fully Glenn's kid tried to look like glenn alot cause he loved his dad. The only differences was the way nick dyed bits of his hair.

While the older he got after the timeline shenangains of the methbay arc, he got more demon like and where he usually dyes his hair turned to fire. [Man was so dissapointed]

Got a lot more piercings too!!

Also has alot of tattoos of varying kinds, before he lost his arm he does have a small tattoo line on hus shoulder blade representing each kiddad.

I imagine him really liking flowers as a personal tbing so his good arm has a arm sleeve of varying flowers.

While his arm that was took off and after not as bitter about it and trying not think about got a snake tattoo trailing round his shoulder & nub.

Okay, just felt like this should be out there about the kiddads.

The first Code Purple most likely wasn't them. It was more likely the original dads who did it without thinking or realizing the consequences.

The teens grew up always knowing the red sky, so that means it was likely around 14-15 years ago. The kiddads would have only been 21-23 and the og dads were still fully in business with DADDIES and therefore they had all the final says. Who knows if the kiddads were even fully involved before the og dads retired.

(In the church of the doodler they were in their teens but then old man ron was in the video to tell people to keep them out of it?? At some point the kids got kicked out to live their lives and were pulled back in or forced their way back in? Idk. Anthony you're killing me)

But even if they were involved, the og dads would have the final authority, so, really, the blame is on them for at least the Code Purple part of the doodler shitshow. The kiddads are just trying to repeat what their dads did all those years ago because it worked once, right?

The kiddads are no saints, but they weren't the ones who condemned Erin and Walter and the rest of the Forgotten Realms. Probably, anyway, lol we all know Anthony doesn't pay attention to time frames lmaoo
