✨Undertale oc (for now, kinda forced in but what to do there)✨
Heyo! Took long to actually get another one written.. and, I wasn't satisfied with the length of last one, hope you enjoy my schizo story that I've been cooking in my note pads for days
-
It began long ago, time immemorial, the void was all that there was, and yet, the nothing brought with it something, an anomaly that shouldn't be there, or perhaps a throwaway from somewhere else? At the time being, unknown, from this anomaly rose Ansi, seemingly identical to the royalty that was the dremurr family (more onto that later), yet unfinished, their eye sockets drained of any organ or object for that matter, all they had with them was a dark blue scarfed, somewhat battered, but complete; for some reason, having it close to them gave them comfort, and so it stuck. They wandered through the void, not understanding where they were, who they were, or why they were here, for all intents and purposes, they assumed they got created just now, no memories, no recollection, so it had to be. They tried finding an exit for uncountable years, yet it all passed fast for them, time warped differently there for some reason.
Suddenly, a portal appeared in the nothing, Ansi it had to be a way out, so they jumped straight in, it pushed them into an active universe inside of the underground, at the time they  went through the portal, they got warped in some way, glitches taking place all throught their body, yet it all calmed in an instant, they didn't understand why, but the answer from the outside was clear, they were an anomaly, no matter what universe they step in, they are not supposed to exist outside the nothingness, he looked back into the portal, and reached their hand towards it, in a blink of an eye it was gone, Ansi sighed relieved and rested on the ground, content of starting their own journey.
From this interaction with the glitches, Ansi absorbed the portal itself, giving them the ability to summon dimension-breaching glitched, which would be the equivalent to portals but they lead to the void, the Hub world persay, from there they can invoke other breaches into other universes, now acting as portals
Due to the glitches Ansi can have the possibility of changing form in the in-between sections of glitches, which is mostly why they don't have an an assignated gender, since they can be any.
Ansi is very much based on the dremurr lineage from the underground, can be compared with Asriel (which back in my days  used to happen a lot.. that redesign is long overdue but I still cannot work it out) they have their damaged dark blue scarf, which they hold near and dear, they wear a black sweater and blue sweatpants, since they take life easy being how they don't have a purpose.
Though things are changing up a bit, y'all see, I am planning to redesign them into their own thing, still mildly Undertale related, I mean, no way I can justify it not being Undertale related, but at least make it so that its not the first thought from seeing them, which.. happens a lot, uncannily, so, I'm moving a way, and giving them an actually good backstory.. with another universe, which gets me to the next point, there's a sister now! Wowie! An actual backstory with actual important characters!!
Though they are still in development.. concept development thing, instead of looking like royalty.. they kinda are! Well, were, gonna get to that in a bit, their sister is supposed to be the near antithesis of them, but not entirely, since Ansi is a more laid-back type of person because of their lack of motive and memories, their sister, who does come from somewhere, an abandoned kingdom, does feel weight of duty on her shoulders, and.. I have to get over the background story to actually explain her.
Both of them come from another universe, of course, but they were part of its own royal family, not too dissimilar from the dreemur lineage, I mean, they are still goats after all, but not the same type, so, credibility restored! Though, something happened, a cataclysm happened, a breach consumed the kingdom into the void, Ansi along with it, so, a breach, created by Ansi, swallowed most of the kingdom, including themselves, which would indicate a time paradox, gotta love those. Afterwards, only the sister remained, left to rule and guide the remnants of civilization she had left, of course, this filled with a deep hatred to her sibling, since she did see them during the attack, one way or the other, and during her time salvaging what was left, she encountered remnants of these glitches caused by the breach, and during years of time, reverse engineered it for them to work as her own breach/portal creator, in order to find Ansi and make them pay, pay.. for something they have yet to do, and so, that's about it for now, their redesigns are still happening as I speak, so.. probably by next week I'll have something more concrete on the both of them, for now, I think that's just more than enough! Even then, I'll have something up.. very soon!
-
Well, that's all for this time, I'll have to pull more from the woodworks to fill the quota!.. I have at least 4 cooking up, so I'll probably get my actual original oc for next one, so.. enjoy this time!!

How did UF Frans and UF Papara tell their UF Goat family about their romances? How did UF Toriel and UF Asgore react? How did UF Asriel react to other men entering the lives of both of his sisters? Was he jealous at first? Or was he supportive from the start?
For Frisk and Sans, it wasn’t all too much of a big deal.
Sure Asgore and Toriel took Frisk aside when they first heard the news and asked, ‘…Are you sure, Frisk? Are you really sure that he’s the one you want…?” “Yes!”
Since Flowey/Asriel was there for her whole journey, he experienced their budding relationship and romance beginning to blossom first hand, so he knows about Sans’s intense and eternal love for his sweetheart before it’s made blatantly known to everyone else. They both seem happy, and while he is a little miffed that Sans ‘stole’ his ‘best friend’ from him, he’s happy to see them happy.
Now Chara, the royal family’s reaction to her romance with Papyrus is a bit more dramatic.
To understand this, one must first understand their history with each other and how it differs from what one knows from Undertale.
When Chara fell into the Underground in the past, Toriel and Asgore adopted her less out of any kindness in their SOULs and more out of a sense of, ‘what’s in it for me?’. The monsters thought they were getting out of that barrier soon, and they wanted to use Chara to sway humanity towards their side of things.
Asriel, in their youth, was incredibly jealous of and maybe not to secretly loathed Chara at times because she took his parents’ attention away from him. So he bullied her, mistreated her, abused her. And this all culminated in Chara’s eventual death. He didn’t kill her, though - it was an accident, manslaughter. He still took her SOUL and crossed the barrier without telling their parents, on the hunt for six more humans, but her SOUL within him stopped him, even while he was being beaten, stabbed, and nearly tortured by the humans that had spotted him. Asriel was forced to retreat back to the Underground, where he died shortly after reaching his parents.
Even with her fear towards humanity, Chara couldn’t allow him to kill anyone.
All these years later, the Dremurr Family regrets and are deeply ashamed of their poor treatment of Chara. Post True Pacifist, they desperately want to make amends and be the family for her they should have always been.
So when Chara begins dating Papyrus, well, to Toriel and Asgore, it’s like she’s being taken away from them. It’s a very cruel wake-up call for them that Chara isn’t a little girl and that she’s grown up. And up until that point, they’ve been unintentionally treating her as a child so they can subconsciously recreate a better upbringing for her than they had given to her in the past.
Asgore takes it the worst - he sets up all these challenges for Papyrus to endure before he’s given permission to date his daughter, and while Papyrus asserts that he takes orders from no one, he completes them all with relative ease. Toriel, meanwhile, is acts coldly towards him, but is extra doting towards Chara when both are in her vicinity.
And Asriel, well, he’s not about to interfere with something that makes her happy, as long as it’s not hurting her or anyone else. He’s actually extremely embarrassed by their parents’ overly hostile behaviors. But Papyrus takes it all in stride - he has a bit of a grudge against them for allowing Chara to be hurt several times over in the first place.
Eventually though, Toriel and Asgore realize that they’re only pushing Chara away from them even further. Their treatment of Papyrus only makes her cling to him more. They quietly give him their blessings; he’s done something they just can’t seem to do right, no matter how hard they try - make her happy.

Chara Is Not A Sympathetic Character At All
Tumblr media
Okay, I have had it with this fandom claiming that Chara is this poor, tortured martyr who actually just wanted to save everyone but was corrupted by the player! So I’m going to debunk a few common misconceptions about them and explain why, in my opinion, what Chara did and does in the game isn’t, never was and never will be “understandable”, “sympathetic” or “not their fault”.
“Chara Is The Narrator, So They’re actually Good, Because they’re Helping You!”
While it is made very clear in-game that Chara narrates the Genocide Route
Tumblr media
there is little to no evidence that they are the narrator for the entire game. While it is definitely a possibility and a fun headcanon, it is definitely not canon.
“Chara Went To Mt. Ebott To Kill Themselves! They Are Suicidal!”
No. If you pay even the slightest bit of attention during the opening of the game (where, spoilers, we see Charas’ fall, not Frisks’) you can clearly see that Chara falling down was an accident.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, when walking through New Home and hearing the story of Chara from the monsters, they mention that Chara called for help right after they fell. I really doubt they’d do that, if they wanted to die anyway.
Tumblr media
As for the reason they climbed Mt. Ebott in the first place: Only Asriel knows for sure and he isn’t telling. The only thing we know about the circumstances of their decision to come to Mt. Ebott is this very vague statement Asriel gives us:
Tumblr media
Honestly, that could basically mean anything. And assuming Asriel confesses this to us right afterwards:
Tumblr media
I think it’s way more likely that Chara was searching for a way to act on their dark desires to erase the very thing they resented so much: humans.
After all:
Tumblr media
“Chara Hated Humanity, So That Means They Must Have Hated Themself Too!”
Not necessarily. How many times have you heard someone say “Ugh, humanity sucks!”, acting as if they weren’t in fact a part of it? Especially someone of very young age?
“Chara Sacrificed Themselves For The Monsters! They Just Wanted Everyone To Be Free!”
Ahh, yes. Charas “Sacrifice”. Let’s talk about that, shall we? First of all, the word “free” is treated very ambiguously in Undertale.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Second of all, an integral part of Charas plan was murdering seven humans to get their souls. Everyone always seems to kind of skim over that when jumping to defend the little psychopath. And Chara was incredibly eager to get to that part of the plan:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even if Asriel hadn’t resisted at the last second and the two of them did manage to harvest the souls they needed:
How many innocents would have been caught in the crossfire?
How many elderly, disabled, young children, women, heck, even newborns and pregnant women?
A lot.
And it would have been just what Chara wanted. They most likely wouldn’t have cared who the soul was from, as long as they could mercilessly slaughter them while simultaneously claiming it was to set everyone “free”.
So, yeah.
Charas so-called “sacrifice” was mainly them finally fulfilling their wish of erasing humanity.
Because even if, after all that, Chara and Asriel would have somehow managed to get back to Mt. Ebott without getting killed, somehow would have managed to convince Toriel and Asgore to use the souls of seven humans they murdered and thus free the monsters: Do you really think everything would have just been fine and dandy after that?
No.
The humans from the village would have wanted revenge for their lost. It would be the war between humans and monsters all over again, with even more casualties on both sides.
And that, much like the soul collecting through murder, would have been just what Chara wanted.
They even took an extra security measure to make sure Asriel wouldn’t back out at the last second.
What’s that, you ask?
Bringing their dead body to the surface with them of course.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chara was a lot of things, but they weren’t stupid. They figured that Asriel would probably have his doubts about killing humans, even when given such a strong motivation as freeing monsterkind.
So the most logical thing to do would be to force him into a situation where he had no other choice but to fight back.
A monster with a human soul would already be a horrifying thing to look at.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And maybe their appearance alone would have been enough to make the humans attack. But Chara couldn’t be sure of that. So they upped the scare factor so to speak.
A terrifying beast, carrying the dead body of a human child?
More than enough to provoke the humans into attacking and thus, making Asriel fight back in turn.
However, Chara miscalculated.
Not even being attacked by humans could get kind-hearted, little Asriel to use his new power to kill.
It was this mistake that lead to both of their tragic deaths. And to basically everything in the Underground going even more to sh*t afterwards.
So to sum it all up: Charas plan was born out of their selfish desire to kill humans for a reason nobody knows, by taking advantage of the monsters’ desperate situation and Asriels’ worship of them. It was far from martyrdom and it most certainly wasn’t a “noble sacrifice”, as so many fans like to put it.
Whether the plan would have worked out or not, it would have just brought more misery and suffering to everyone involved.
And Chara knew that. They knew that and they didn’t care.
“Chara Isn’t Responsible For What Happens In The Genocide Route! The Player Is!”
And last but not least: that one argument every Chara-defender just loves to pull out of their asses at one point!
Most of them also use this part of Charas speech.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While it is definitely true that the Player is the one who initiates the Genocide Route by “guiding” Chara in the Ruins, both Chara and the Player are the ones who carry it on and finish it.
Chara actively assists the Player. They provide vital information through kill counts and stop the Player if they haven’t killed enough monsters before the Undyne the Undying fight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chara also flat-out aborts the Genocide Route altogether should the Player choose to not kill Snowdrake. They even call the Player a “failure”.
Tumblr media
Chara seems to be only on board with the plan if the Player meets their requirements. Meaning, Chara will only lend the Player their support if they kill absolutely everybody.
Even the people who once took them in as their own.
In fact, Chara kills quite a few people in the Genocide Route without the Players input.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So while it is true that Chara is not solely to blame for the Genocide Route, they sure as hell ain’t blameless either.
And to say that Chara is against the Genocide Route or doesn’t actually want to hurt anybody is a bold faced lie.
It is heavily implied in-game that Chara was and is a sadist.
In the Demo, if the Player chooses to kill everyone, Chara will say that it was “fun” and even eggs you on to “finish the job”.
Tumblr media
In True Lab tape number 3, we learn of the rather unfortunate pie incident, in which Chara and Asriel accidentally poisoned Asgore by using Buttercups instead of butter to make a pie. This resulted in Asgore falling terribly ill and Toriel getting “real upset”.
Charas reaction?
Amusement.
Tumblr media
And if the fact that Chara didn’t seem to be even remotely sorry or worried that they almost killed their adoptive father (quite the opposite, actually) isn’t enough evidence that they are one seriously messed up kid, how about that infamous scene in the Genocide Route with Flowey?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chara smiles while stalking towards Flowey, most likely intending to kill him.
Those are not the actions of a person who doesn’t actually want to harm anybody.
Not to mention that Chara outright laughs at you if you choose to not erase the world at the end of the Genocide Route - while erasing the world anyway.
Tumblr media
Welp!
Now that we’ve got all the common misconceptions out of the way, it’s time for me to explain why I think this little brat isn’t deserving of the “not evil just misunderstood”-treatment at all.
Let’s start with the biggest elephant in the room:
It was basically Charas’ fault that things went as shitty as they did for the monsters. Namely:
Asriel and Chara dying
The Underground losing it’s hope once again
Asgore being consumed with rage and declaring war on the humans
Asgore deciding to kill humans to get their souls and break the barrier
Toriel becoming disgusted by Asgores’ actions and leaving him
The deaths of the human children who came before Frisk
The creation of Flowey
Chara ruined a lot of peoples lives because they couldn’t let go of their hatred for humanity.
Falling down Mt. Ebbott and being adopted by the Dremurrs could have been a second chance for them. A chance to leave their old life behind and just live with the monsters in the Underground. The opportunity was practically gift-wrapped for them.
And what did they do?
They basically blackmailed their adoptive brother into a murder-suicide mission to further their own, hipocritic agenda.
They took away the Undergrounds hope.
They indirectly caused the deaths of five human children who probably had families and friends.
And all of that because they “hated humanity” more than they loved the people who took them in.
And if the Chara we meet in the Genocide Route tells us anything, it’s that to this day they don’t regret what they did.
They still only care about themselves and erasing humanity.
So don’t you come and tell me Chara isn’t the villain of this story.

How did Chara feel about the Dremurrs?
see, that’s a complicated question. Because Chara really loved Toriel, and really loved Asriel, and they felt like they’d finally found a family who loved them (for some fucking reason) to the point where they didn’t even care that Asgore was clearly using them. At least he was nice about it. The flower thing--like, he was fine. That was kind of funny, for real, honestly. He was using them. So they got to laugh a little at that misery. It was fair. And when you hear it like that, it might sound like Chara didn’t really care about them. But?? Haven’t you ever laughed about a time your family member almost died?? Like?? Life is kinda terrible and you just have to laugh at it sometimes. You met your brother by falling into a well and breaking your leg??? That’s hilarious!! It’s hard to explain those things. But Chara did love them very much. Especially Toriel and Asriel, who didn’t seem to have alternative motives, but also they liked Asgore, even though he did. Maybe it hurt a little sometimes, but it was fine. They understood why it was like that. That’s why they were so willing to die early and fulfill their purpose. They knew they were more valuable to the monsters dead. Even if Asgore tried to pretend otherwise. (Chara never really knew how much Asgore did honestly care.)
