De amikor az EA gyerekkorom kedvenc játékait teszi szabad szoftverré, akkor mégiscsak:
Természetesen futnak Linuxon.
Gyakorlatilag a Generals:ZH és az AOE III volt a két utolsó RTS amivel játszottam. Azóta semmi.
Annyira nem követem a játékvilágot, hogy igazából csak a VGA tesztekből értesülök az új játékokról.
Gyorsan végiggörgettem pár PC Gaming oldalt, de rájöttem hogy ezek nem nekem készülnek.

Feltörekvőben a Linux a játékpiacon - a Windows 11 kárára
A Linux rendszereket sokan sokáig csak szervereken, IT szakemberek gépein és amolyan “olcsó hardverre stabil rendszer” szintjén tudták elképzelni, de semmiképpen nem játékgépként, főleg nem komoly, eredetileg Windows PC-kre írt játékok alatt. Az utóbbi években ez a megközelítés jelentősen javult, köszönhetően a fejlesztők munkájának és a Steam Deck megjelenésének. Egy friss teszt szerint a Linux egyes játékokban már felülmúlja a Windows 11-et.

A Forbes által közölt tesztben egy AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processzorral és integrált Radeon 780M grafikával felszerelt számítógépen hasonlították össze több nagy játék futási teljesítményét Windows 11 a Fedora 40 Linux disztribúció alatt.

A Shadow of the Tomb Raider játékban a tesztgép Linux rendszerrel 7%-kal magasabb átlagos képkockasebességet ért el, mint ugyanazt a játékot a Windows 11 alatt futtatva, de a Cyberpunk 2077 tesztjében is jobban teljesített a Fedora rendszere, különösen AMD FSR felskálázás használatával.

A Forza Horizon 5 játékban a Windows 11 volt a gyorsabb, de a Linuxon elért eredmény így is figyelemre méltó, tekintve, hogy a játék DirectX 12-t használ, és a Linuxon Proton kompatibilitási rétegen keresztül fut.

Securing Communication With Quantum Mechanics
Today, sensitive information is sent across fiber-optic cables and other channels together with digital "keys" needed to decode it. These bits are typically transmitted as classical electrical or optical pulses representing 1s and 0s, but this can leave them vulnerable to hackers who might intercept them while in transit. Quantum cryptography, on the other hand, uses the laws of quantum physics to ensure unbreakable communication security.
At the heart of this new approach are quantum phenomena such as superposition, in which particles can exist in multiple states simultaneously, and entanglement, in which entangled particles instantly correlate their properties regardless of distance. By harnessing these principles, scientists can develop a range of novel cryptographic techniques that protect communications from eavesdroppers and provide resistance to attacks by quantum computers.

One of the most advanced and established applications of quantum cryptography is Quantum Key Distribution (QKD). Its unique feature is unconditional security, guaranteeing that an eavesdropper cannot intercept the key used to encrypt and decrypt messages. This is because the fundamental principles of quantum physics prevent any act that might change a quantum state, such as measuring it, from revealing the state to an eavesdropper.
A QKD session begins What is metaverse and is it the future? with Alice sending Bob a stream of photons that travel in one direction. Each photon can represent a single bit of data, namely a 1 or a 0. But because of the quantum nature of these photons, they also oscillate in a specific pattern that varies depending on environmental conditions. If an eavesdropper attempts to gain knowledge of the photons' polarization, this will introduce errors in the subsequent measurement by Bob, causing them to differ from the original bit string and alerting Alice to the eavesdropper's presence.
The key exchanged by Alice and Bob can then be used to encrypt messages using standard encryption methods. A key advantage of QKD is that it can be used for symmetric encryption, which provides greater protection than asymmetric encryption because the same key can be used to decrypt and encrypt data on both ends of the communication channel.
While QKD is the most advanced and developed application of quantum cryptography, scientists are exploring a number of other potential applications including technology website quantum message authentication, quantum digital signatures, quantum fingerprinting and quantum one-way functions. Researchers are also developing protocols that use the quantum interference effects between photons to transmit information without any transmission loss.
