“Lou-Bug, you decent?” Daddy asked gently as he knocked on the thin wooden panel of her childhood bedroom door three times.

Lou groaned and wiped her eyes. She was sprawled on her stomach across the entire surface of the twin bed that creaked and moaned just about as much as she did as she shifted to look over at the alarm clock.

2:14 P.M., it taunted.

Lou groaned again and tried to sit up, finding that she had an empty beer bottle still clutched in her left hand, and that her bed was damp and smelled like beer. At least it was beer, and she hadn't quite fallen so far as to be literally pissing drunk. She was still wearing the same pair of sweatpants and tee-shirt that she'd been wearing for the last two days. And as she turned to sit up, she caught a whiff of herself. A charming mixture of old beer and sweat that rankled her nose and made her stomach turn a flip.

She was disgusting, and she was disgusted with herself.

“Yeah, I'm dressed,” she croaked out and closed her eyes, shielding herself from the shards of jittering light caused by her current state of hungover consciousness. The posters of boy bands and swimsuit models on her wall all stared down on her in judgment, mocking her with their beautiful, clean skin, and perfectly styled hair.

Her dad slowly opened the door, holding a small cup of water in his hand, and a bottle of aspirin in the other. He quietly sat down next to her, passing the cool glass to her waiting hands and then set about opening the bottle. He waited until she took some of the medicine and drank the rest of the water before fixing eyes that looked terribly similar to hers on her, with a concerned bent to his thick brows.

“Louie, heard you cryin’ last night,” he said quietly. He rested his hands, slightly wrinkled and weathered by the sun and his carpentry, on his knees.

She looked down at her feet and tried to fight the trembling in her lips, but she lost the battle and tears began to fall. “I'm stuck, daddy. Every time I look at that offer to go back to Ariake … I just,” her voice faltered and she gave over to quiet sobs. As Joseph Miller wrapped his arm over her shoulder and pulled her in tight to his side, she whispered, “I can't go back. I'm too scared to go back.”

“Bug, you know I'd love it if you stayed here forever, but it ain't good for you,” Joe said kindly. “Baby girl, you don't have to go back to Ariake. You don't even have to go back to bein’ in a lab. Honey, there's a whole galaxy just waitin’ for you to go and show it your smile.”

Lou smiled and wiped her eyes on the back of her hand. “You're such a sap,” she rocked her shoulder into his chest. “If I leave Earth, I won't get to see you as much.”

“Bug,” he started sounding very serious all of a sudden, “Don't you ever put your life on hold for your old man, you hear me? I ain't goin’ nowhere. I'll be here whenever you get a chance to come visit. Don't stay in this shit town just cause I can't leave it.”

“I wouldn't even know what to do if I left.”

“I bet there's technology out there that would blow your mind, baby girl. It's just waiting for you to get your hands on it and make it better.” He suddenly wrapped her neck in the crook of his arm and rubbed his knuckle against the crown of her head, “Or you can take all that money you got and just go enjoy your life dingbat, have an adventure. Hate seeing you like this.”

Lou couldn't help but erupt into fits of laughter as she pushed Joe back and made a passable attempt and smoothing her greasy hair back down. “Fine, fine. I see your point. I'll think about it.”

“Good. Now, please, for the love of God and all things holy, please take a shower. You smell real fuckin’ bad, Bug. Like a dead possum. You might need to burn these clothes-”

“Alright, alright. I get it, old man. I'll shower soon as I slam a sandwich.”

Daddy patted her knee a couple of times before standing and crossing to the door, “That's my girl. See ya in the workshop later? Could use your help.”

“If the headache goes away, I'll be there.”

Joe Miller knocked on the wood paneling of her door three times again as he gently closed the door. His knocking was followed by a fit of gasping coughing. Lou grimaced as she heard him knocking on the door to his bedroom three times as he entered.

It was a knocking day again.

To answer some of your questions, actually naga Thief King isn't a crytpid coming out of the wood, but he is living in human society since he can shift into a human. Ryou found him injured as a snake and decided to take him home to take care of his wounds. (Everyone else: "You took a wild snake home..." Ryou: *shrug* "It was cute")

So TKB eats the same things as a human (though his fridge is mostly eggs and chiken). While Ryou didn't know it wasn't a regular snake at first, Bakura was very offended when Ryou tried to give him frozen mice. And Ryou was very concerned the snake he took prefered chicken nuggets.

Nothing make them sad, but after Bakura revealed himself (couldn't at the beginning because he was injured) they fell for each other pretty quickly. However it took them forever to get together because they were sure the other wasn't interested.

Help, I ran Garden of Salvation with some clan mates and i'm Experiencing Great Sadness about the Kentarch 3 again.

I haven't been following you since shadowkeep, and was wondering if you had some theories about what happened, because a lot is left unexplained, specifically about Lisbon-13's motivations. The story from Yardarm-4's perspective shows that something is influencing them before they accept power (stasis teaser?) from the darkness. Do you think they really had a choice? Do you think he was influenced in his decision to kill them? If so, why? As a test just for him? Presumably he's still out there somewhere, and I can't tell from the lorebooks whether Rekkana let him kill her first or not. I just feel so bad for them, they all loved each other. Yardarm probably took the power in the first place to help get them out safely. Do you think it'll ever get concluded? The whole lore series seems interestingly close to what happens with Shayura, just sort of in reverse.

Kentarch 3 fireteam and the whole story on the Garden of Salvation armour and the associated weapons and equipment is amazing and very interesting, I agree. I haven't talked about it before but it's a good thing to revisit every so often! I think there's still a lot we don't really understand, mostly due to not fully understanding the power of the Black Garden.

In short for the general audience, Kentarch 3 was a fireteam that consisted of Yardarm-4 (Titan), Rekkana (Warlock) and Lisbon-13 (Hunter). They went to explore the Black Garden at the behest of the Warlock order called the Cryptochrons which Rekkana was a part of. This order got exiled some time after Osiris for dabbling in prophecies. Cryptochrons were formed around a Oneiromantic Circle and led by a Sibyl (or multiple sibyls; or Sibyl was just a name of one member, it's unclear). Oneiromancy is the practice of interpreting dreams to predict the future and sibyls were ancient Greek female prophets and oracles.

I didn't think this would get long but it did so the rest under the cut:

The Cryptochron order continued operating after its exile and Rekkana received a prophecy from them that revolved around a fireteam learning about the Black Garden and retrieving from it a Vex relic of some sort. The relic is the exotic weapon Divinity and the lore tab on it details the prophecy they were chasing:

"And after any other Cryptochrons they learn of. But your path is more dangerous than most. The Circle has foreseen many fireteams following in your footsteps. You can find the knowledge the order seeks at the Tree."

"Can? Not will?" For the first time, Rekkana sounded concerned.

"The Circle has had limited success in piercing the veil that surrounds the Black Garden, so the order offers no certainties. They say that a group of Guardians will discover secrets about the origin of the Black Garden at the Tree. The Oneiromantic Circle foresees no reason why it will not be the Kentarch 3."

"Nor can I. But…?"

"There is another thread in the tapestry, entwined with this one. The Vex, or some fractal faction of them, worship or honor a… divinity there."

"The Black Heart? It was destroyed."

"Yes, but this is something different. An object. Something like a sacred relic. It is important to the Vex for reasons that we have not yet fathomed. The Circle has determined that it is dangerous—"

"A Vex weapon?"

"Perhaps," the Sybil sounded annoyed at the interruption. "Rekkana, the Circle concluded that it is a danger to you."

"To me? But then, why send me on this mission?"

"When the Circle dreamed of the object, you were beside it."

They agreed that, should they find this object, Lisbon should be the one to carry it. They did find it and he was indeed the one to carry it, as is shown later in another lore tab detailed below.

We know that Lisbon-13 killed the rest of his fireteam because they got corrupted by the Black Garden, something happened to their Ghosts (they all just dropped down and started losing their Light) and then turned on him. He was being hunted and he really had no choice. But he couldn't live with it. In Beyond Light, he's shown trying to kill his Ghost in order to stay permanently dead because he couldn't bear the burden of what he did to his fireteam, even though his actions were justified and he acted in self-defence.

But before he managed to do that, he was faced with his own doppleganger, just like the YW at the end of Shadowkeep. In the end, Lisbon didn't kill his Ghost because the doppleganger offered him power and Lisbon (presumably) chose to take it: his wish was simply to make himself forget about his fireteam (and Rekkana specifically, whom he loved). It's implied that he accepted and after that, we have no formal information what happened.

The outcome of what happened to Kentarch 3 is somewhat known, as detailed in this ship lore. The Vanguard knows Lisbon killed the other two, they're not sure when they lost their Ghosts and they have not found anyone's body, not even Lisbon's. But we know from the lore that came out after that Lisbon accepted the deal with his doppleganger and we have no idea what that entailed. Is he still in the Black Garden? Was he killed? Replaced? Just memory-wiped and sent back? Something else entirely? We'll explore at the end.

I'm pretty sure the voices they heard talking to them were also their own dopplegangers. And it's somewhat implied that they made some sort of a bargain and accepted "new powers" that came "from the wrong side." There's only one description of it:

Her fist glimmered and quaked with an unfamiliar power. She only had to release her grip, and that energy would rip through him, burning without fire.

That's Rekkana attacking Lisbon. It's never fully explained what it is, but it could very well be some sort of prototype Stasis in my opinion. Or some other Darkness power. Not sure why the Black Garden would give them this, which is why I think they simply harnessed the power of their dopplegangers. This is something that's been mentioned a few times in regards to Darkness: duplication. Same is present with the Taken as well (Taken psions duplicate). I mentioned the duplication theme being discussed in Clovis' journal before too.

Honestly, I can't make any definitive conclusion, but Kentarch 3 definitely found something horrifying in the Black Garden and fell to its influence. They also reference doing the puzzles to get Divinity, which they got and Lisbon used it to kill the other two.

Garden of Salvation raid ends with a Pyramid scale opening up and leading us down into the area with the Darkness statue. I think this could've easily been some sort of a lead into the future of Destiny and the powers of Darkness. Kentarch 3 may have accidentally received this power early on or were perhaps some sort of a test the Darkness did on Guardians before offering them Stasis for real.

It's an interesting story and yep, it does mirror Shayura's fireteam and how the story is told! Each member of the fireteam tells the same story from their own POV on armour for that class. I'll link all of them in order, roughly how I think it's best to read each POV:

Rekkana: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Yardarm-4: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Lisbon-13: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

I like how the armour follows the same name pattern: Righteousness, Exaltation, Transcendence, Ascendancy and Temptation.

Associated Garden of Salvation weapons also have some tidbits of lore that might help, namely:

Ancient Gospel Hand Cannon:

"These forces have existed forever, but only one of them speaks to us." —Rekkana, Warlock of the Kentarch 3

Sacred Provenance Pulse Rifle:

"These gifts were not made for us, but we were meant to have them." —Rekkana, Warlock of the Kentarch 3

Zealot's Reward Fusion Rifle:

"Why not use these gifts we've been given?" —Yardarm-4, Titan of the Kentarch 3

I would really like to learn more about them, and specifically Lisbon because he might be able to actually tell us what happened. He or his Ghost, Piri, who managed to survive last we've seen her. I think the Ghost might be able to give the most accurate version of events. It's interesting that Lisbon was very much against whatever power they received and that was the reason he abandoned his fireteam, which made the other two consider him a traitor to their friendship.

Very intriguing lore story that could possibly be mentioned again in some form. Also as a brighter note, yes, Yardarm literally flew into the Black Garden with an entire ship and crash landed inside. On a less brighter note, we've never seen the remains of a ship in there (to be fair, Black Garden is huge) and it's somewhat implied that they entered through the Vex Gate on Mars which puts the timeline of when they got there into question. The Vex Gate on Mars that led into the Black Garden was destroyed in the Red War. The new gate showed up on the Moon in Shadowkeep (and you can't fly a ship into it because it's in a cave).

An additional note which answers certain things when it comes to Lisbon's fate that I hinted at before: in order to acquire the quest for Divinity, you have to go to the Moon to the Vex Gate for the first time. The gate will open up and a Vex mind will come out. This giant Vex minotaur is called Zeteon, Redemptive Mind. Upon killing this minotaur, you receive "Divine Fragmentation" quest. Details of the quest here. You pick up a Vex core that has strange readings coming from it and you have to decipher it by running it through various Vex technology. Once fully completed, you have to go into Garden of Salvation, do the Divinity puzzles and the weapon will drop from the extra chest at the end.

Why am I mentioning this? Well. Zeteon, Redemptive Mind drops a core that contains information about how to get Divinity. Lisbon was the member of the fireteam that held Divinity and used it to kill his fireteam. There's a quote from Lisbon on the weapon called Accrued Redemption:

"I should never have let it come to this. Now each arrow is a penance." —Lisbon-13, Hunter of the Kentarch 3

Divinity's perks are called Judgement and Penance.

Basically, I believe that whatever deal Lisbon accepted that made him forget his fireteam, free him from the suffering and redeem him ended with him being converted into Zeteon, Redemptive Mind. It's the reason why this Vex in particular had the pieces needed to construct Divinity again. Lisbon was the last person who had it. Becoming the bearer of parts needed for Divinity was both his Judgement and his Penance.

Final note because I love ancient languages being used for the names of things in Destiny: "Zeteon" most likely comes from Greek "zeteo" which means:

to seek, search after, look for

to inquire into, examine, consider

to strive for, desire, wish

Probably tied to Lisbon's search and desire for redemption for what he's done. I think that wraps up his fate quite nicely, although tragically.

Are you from Hong Kong? I read all that you've posted about the riots happening there but I'm so confused. Everyone is saying a different story and I don't know what to believe. Can you please describe what happened from square one and why it's happening and your view on it please. I want to have an opinion on this but only after I've fully been educated on this issue.

Yes I’m from Hong Kong and of course everyone is saying different things, as people have so many different opinions on this (as well as many who only know snippets of the situation).

Basically Hong Kong was about to pass an extradition bill which allows China to arrest criminals even if they escape to Hong Kong. However, Hong Kong citizens are scared that China will arrest innocent people for no reason (which in my humble opinion, I highly doubt. I think China’s main goal is to arrest corrupt officials) They began rioting and the government has already stepped back and said the bill is dead. Now, many say that this is “fake” and the “government is lying” but like…even if they really withdrew, they could always bring it back. Saying the bill is dead is already the most they can do, but the riots still will not stop.

In my opinion, the bill is merely an excuse to cause trouble because what they really want is the right to vote for their own government leaders and have democracy. However, because China is not a democratic country and has a bad reputation, Hong Kong citizens hate China with a burning, raging passion. Which, ok, fine, because China really has a bad reputation and it’s fine to not like them but the thing is…HONG KONG IS UNDER CHINA. That is a reality that will NOT change no matter how much they cry and whine. China promised Hong Kong that they will not change their rights for 50 years after the British Colony has given them back to China. However, those 50 years are already half over, so China has begun to slowly make preparations for the turnover, which is completely normal. Obviously, Hong Kong citizens are anxious about this and feel threatened. They fight desperately for China not to change their rights and to gain even more rights by voting for their own leaders but…the thing is, they’re digging themselves into a hole here.

Okay, this is a very controversial opinion and hate me if you want but China taking over is not as bad as they think. I have lived in China for 10+ years and I know this well. Yes, the people don’t have manners, are rude and selfish, etc. But the society itself is not bad. China has advanced and developed very quickly and many of their cities like Beijing and Shanghai are more international and technological than Hong Kong is, which Hong Kong cannot accept because a long time ago, China used to be worse than Hong Kong and depended on HK harbors to trade. So, if China took over, their strict government will actually make decisions quicker and really get things done. The HK government right now is wishy washy and is unable to get anything done (which is why there’s so many issues about apartments and healthcare, etc.). Also, if HK chooses their own leader (a.k.a a leader that refuses everything China wants), they are merely stopping their own progress. At this point, it doesn’t matter what China’s decisions are. Even if China has decided to do something so great for HK and it’s people, as long as it came from China, HK citizens will say no. That is the reality. They don’t care about anything, as long as it came from China, they will reject it. And it’s stupid!!! Even if China is “bad,” China can help them develop and progress which is a good thing!!! They shouldn’t block and reject everything China does just because “they don’t like them.” It’s childish.

But the main reason I disagree with the riots is not only because of the unnecessary violence (they’re literally high on violence, like they can’t even think straight anymore), but also because I don’t think HK even has the ABILITY to fight. This isn’t a storybook where happy endings are guaranteed. I’m not saying that fighting for freedom is wrong, but you can’t expect me to believe that “as long as we fight, everything will be ok!” Reality isn’t like that. You need to be PREPARED when you go into war, you need to plan things out and see all possibilities, which they clearly are not doing. The reality is that whoever has power is in control. Hong Kong has nothing to sustain themselves  on their own. They have never been able to sustain themselves. Not financially. Not politically. They don’t even have a military to fight with. If they fight China, how will they do it? Using what? Their frying pans? Don’t joke with me.

The protestors are digging their own graves. Many have already been imprisoned, which means they will be discriminated when they come back out—or maybe they won’t be qualified to work for society anymore as time changes. They are trying to freeze the economy to force the government to pay attention to them but in the long term, we are the ones who are affected. Do the innocent not have the right to work and eat? Do foreigners not have the right to travel to HK? (Wow, hypocrite much? They want freedom but won’t give others freedom. People were kneeling and begging protestors to leave the metro because children were there. Protestors didn’t allow people to go to work and beat them up. So much justice indeed). They blocked airports to prevent people from leaving which has made terrible impressions on visitors, so foreign business will not want to come anymore nor cooperate with HK anymore. Not only that, but if they stay good and quiet like Macau, China may consider and allow them to keep their rights. But when they do things like this? What government will allow their people to riot like this? They will only crack HK down and become even stricter. It’s like having a child. If the child is good, you give them a toy and let them keep it. If the child is bad, you take the toy away. Probably forever. 

I only see terrible consequences, and absolutely nothing good from these riots.

We COULD HAVE been able to keep our freedom, if it weren’t for these rash protestors who jumped headfirst into the fire. What a shame to Hong Kong.

Jun is my favourite character, i made him on a whim as a side character in a old story and then i started using him more and more as a background character until i realized the potential he had. He's also one of the character whom i put into a lot of  different aus, the most favourite one was where he was a vampire who loved laying in the garden and eat roses all day

Rukiya (-Though the god’s have left)

‘‘i have dreams about them’‘ Rukiya says and plucks a string on her bass. The deep note rumbles through the room and her short curls moves along as she drops her head lower

i like the idea of twins that are completely the opposite of each other. Rukiya just like Imara have a big chunk of my personality in them, it's just that i lean more towards Rukiya than Imara.

Kneeling down, she cocks her head to the side, her eyes cold and her lips pressed into a thin line ‘’ dont think your actions won't have consequences’’ she sneers ‘’ the next time i see you harassing another girl again i'll make you wish you were never born’’ 

Akiho dusts herself , picks up the bat , glances one last time at the boy laying on the floor and walks away, the echoes of her shoes the only noise to be heard

Akiho comes from a family of 3, she's the youngest sibling and she has that energy. She likes to play with her oldest brother children, doesn't want any on her own though. will fight anyone who is disrespectful, esp towards women

The tall girl slumps her body onto her girlfriend shoulder, watching her fry the fish in the pan into charcoal. Hyunjin wrinkles her nose in a attempt to push the glasses up without having to actually touch them, before she sighs deeply. 

‘‘Just-’‘ she starts and softly takes ‘‘let me do it, otherwise you'll burn the kitchen down like last time’‘

Praveena puffs her cheeks up ‘’that actually wasn't my fault, it was the gasherd-’’

‘‘i know i know’‘ Hyunjin chuckles and kisses her cheek ‘‘but i have a exam tomorrow and i would like not not have an indigestion’‘ she frowns and flips the fish over and sighs. It seems the fish can’t be saved anymore.

honestly out of all the characters i draw hyunjin the most. In the beginning  she  had shoulder length but then i shortened it because i liked it more. She's an only child and her mother runs a bakery while her father works in a office. She's the calm type that's constantly tired because she never sleeps 

Praveena  (-Though the god’s have left)

She shuffles the cards and lays them out on the table. The customers sees the fool, the moon and the star. Praveena touches them with her fingertips ‘’ you seem to be either at the beginning or at the end of a new journey ’’ she pauses and thinks ‘’but either way you're prepared for what is to come’’

The customers nods ‘’i'm soon moving away from this city’’

‘‘I see’‘ Praveena counters and points at the next card ‘‘the moon indicates that you’re hesitant  and fearful in your decision, there might be something from the past that is holding you back and influencing you in the present and possibly the future

the customer tenses up, her eyes fixed on the card and her lips tight

i made praveena cause i wanted a harmonious wlw couple, that have that ‘’old married pair’’ plus out of all the ocs those two are the ones that i drew first. Praveena has the tendency to blow things up how though is a mystery and hyunjin always has to clean up everything.

‘‘no listen, it doesn't make sense why would you wear a bra and some tight ass pants knowing you’re about to fight people who have knives and GUNS?’’ Imara asks perturbed.

‘‘Cause men are horny’‘ Rukiya retorts and raises an eyebrow

‘‘still doesn't make sense like wow!, some fucking boobs, like really? really? is that what gets you going? just some breast pressed up in a bra that is too damn tight and a flat stomach on a skinny ass girl that has absolute no muscles despite the training she went through?

Rukiya sighs ‘’ is this about-’’

Imara does have a slight complex about being a twin because she feels like Rukiya is the cooler one despite people loving her too. She's loud and boisterous basically a chad, but better. She's dorky and literally spends her free time gaming but she doesn't just play any game shes v specific when it comes to that. Her mom always has a headache because of her but thats okay but in the end her mom loves her to death.

‘’do you you know how much it's sucks that at the end of all of this , i'm the one waiting for them?’’ Ava exclaims ‘’that i'm the one who will have to watch them go through the door to be evaluated? that i'm ultimately the end?

When i make akiho i felt like she needed a companion so i made ava, both of them were inspired by the early 2000 shows characters. Although Ava likes to goof around she's also very studious and serious about her future. She comes from a family of 6 and she’s the second oldest. She and her older sister fight constantly

i came up with this story and character because i wanted a book where a black girl for once was the main character, where she could experience the same thing as other mc (ie eragon etc) basically i wanted black representation in a medieval-esque world but with my own spin because the world itself is not very western like
