I caught a vision of PAPER MESSENGER AT DAYBREAK early one morning as I was coming around a hairpin turn, and heading down into the Atascadero valley. The scene was magical, majestic, heroic, and theatrical. I think it's in the nature of my work to play The edge between theater, and realism. All painting is theater. Sometimes little more than a form of fantastic escapism. Sometimes all the special effects are trying to act as a reduction of a truth that is otherwise too general and mundane to appreciate. This fellow didn't live on my wall very long, he was snapped up and now lives with someone else. #oilpainting #painting #environmentalart #livewithearth #anthropocene #figurativepainting #surrealistart #postcontemporaryart #magicrealism #visionaryart #expressiveart #humanfigure #figurativeart #humanbody #artistmodel #artisticnude #divinemessenger #mystic #mysticism https://www.instagram.com/p/CeRSySuFJev/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The trivial solution for designing Sustainable Energy Generation Systems with non-intermittent sources.
The purpose of this post is to share a solution for designing SEGS that is, in my opinion, the easiest to understand.
A Sustainable Energy Generation System (SEGS) is an electric power system supported by 100% renewable energy. The root challenge of designing SEGSs is figuring out how much renewable energy and how much storage is required for sustainability. A SEGS is sustainable if it can meet the goal of supplying enough energy year-round.
SEGS can be designed using intermittent or non-intermittent renewable energy resources, or both. Non-intermittent renewable energy resources are technologies that produce a steady and continuous power supply. Geothermal, nuclear, biomass and hydroelectric are a few examples of non-intermittent renewable energy resources. For these technologies, there exists a trivial solution for designing SEGSs.
The trivial solution for non-intermittent sources is the net nameplate generation capacity must be greater than or equal to the projected peak power demand. Consider California as an example. This figure shows the actual power demand of California for the last 3 years (2016-2018). Notice how each year had a power peak. 2016 had a power peak of 58GW. 2017 had a power peak of 63 GW. 2018 had a power peak of 59GW. Based on this data, the trivial solution for California is a net nameplate generation capacity of 63GW or greater.
As stated, the main goal of a power system is supplying enough power to meet the demand all year round. The trivial solution solves this problem by incorporating a net non-intermittent generation nameplate capacity that exceeds all possible power demand quantities. Since the trivial solution can always meet the power demand, the trivial solution doesn’t require energy storage.
With this solution, the power supply is greater than the power demand for most of the year. The extra power will need to be detached or redirected to balance the electric grid. The extra energy can be detached by turning off power plants, or the extra energy can be redirected by powering stand-by devices such as carbon scrubbers. This graph shows how much extra energy will be available assuming the resources are operating year-round. The green area represents the extra energy. For this example, a 63GW SEGS will produce 270,000GWh of extra energy each year.
To conclude, the purpose of this post is to share a solution for designing SEGS that is, in my opinion, the easiest to understand. The best solution for designing SEGS will involve a combination of intermittent and non-intermittent renewable energy resources.

Seeking career advice
While in graduate school, I had an idea for how to design sustainable energy generation systems, and after graduating, I continued working on this startup idea of mine. My work involved working on the design, patent application, and funding opportunities. After about 7 months, I released all potential proprietary rights and started to pursue careers in the power industry.
I've been job searching for months, and I'm starting to think working on my startup idea is having a negative effect on my job search. So I decided to write a technical document describing my results for hiring managers. I plan to place this document on my Linkedin profile, and I might also attach it to relevant job applications. My objective is a career in the power, controls, or embedded systems engineering. Would it be a good idea to attach this document to my Linkedin profile and relevant job applications?
http://ift.tt/2y97mYu
Also, if someone has some time to proofread my report, I would greatly appreciate it. Here is a link to the document in google docs so you can write your comments. Thanks.

Need some advice about terminology
Need some advice about terminology
Can someone check if I am using appropriate terminology for a job description in my resume?
OffGrid , Founder
• Pioneered algorithm that approximated all possible configurations of oversized PV and energy storage for 100% renewable electric power system.
• Found inverse relationship between oversized PV and energy storage requirements.
• Computed cost of each PV/storage configuration and determined most cost-effective system.
• Released all potential proprietary rights, pertaining to this system, into the public domain, and published the algorithm on GitHub.
Would the following bullet make better sense than the first one?
• Pioneered algorithm that approximated how much energy storage vs. how much oversized PV are required for 100% renewable electric power system.
Also, many additional recommendations on grammar or improvements would be highly appreciated. Thanks
