I just had to redesign Hera’s fertility goddess form. In all ways possible, I wanted her to be opposite of Kronos, hence the total makeover.

I based her color palette off of a neutron star! Neutron stars are technically dead stars and she was “dead” there for a minute so I figured that would go hand in hand.

The wrath of Kore, the birth of Persephone...

My IG has the full story but basically in my rewrite(?), Kore was barely 100 & was going through some heavy shit. The deaths of Krokos and Withy pushed her over the edge. When she made it to the sacred fields she went on a rampage, even going as far as to use the corpses as fertilizer.

The few that survived dubbed Kore 'Persephone' and for the next thousands of years, she spent her time training and honing her powers. Putting as much distance between herself and her act wrath as much as possible.

NOTE; She looks more like Demeter in this 'form' as to show where she gets her wrath from.

I got bored and yearned for the LO mines, SO here’s some soft redesigns of the three sisters!

I gave Demeter golden eyes cause 1) noticed she’s never given colored irises and 2) it’s a trade off from making her hair gold, wanted to be different.

Hera’s is pretty standard. Wanted to stick with blues to match her eyes, and for no other plot/character related reasons. The teary/streaked eyes are a choice! She lives for the drama.

Hestia’s is my “what if I just gave her cute clothes for fun!” Noticed she only wore long maxi dresses in canon, and I wanted to deviate from that! All of her outfits are from a TikToker I follow, who’s a plus sized bridal stylist! My favorite has to be the little white dress

Both Hestia and Hera have a glow to them, since one is made of stars and the other is based in fire/fireplace. But only Hestia gives off warmth. I’d imagine Metis had Hestia’s skintone, Demeter’s eyes, and Hera’s nose/face shape

Persephone is still hidden away in the mortal realm, which is considered highly inappropriate/incorrect for a god's development. The reason that Demeter does this is that after living with mortals & nymphs for so long, she sees the gods as cruel/impetuous and otherwise bad influences on her and her daughter (she also discovers that she's pregnant right after being denied her crown as queen of the mortal realm, so). However, it's common to hide godlings since they're relatively squishier than gods and can still be injured, even if they can't be killed. However, usually they're only brought around other gods rather than mortals/nymphs, so Demeter does the opposite. Persephone lives with mortals and nymphs and is very affectionate of them; she often sees herself and mortals as equals, due to being constantly away from Olympus, she develops slower than the avg. god would!

For context on this:

Gods mentally develop very quickly, as is canon to Greek mythology. However, for the first century of their life, they tend to be more like... spirits, about equal to nymphs in power, but what distinguishes gods from nymphs is that even in their first century, gods tend to have multiple domains, they just haven't been fully developed yet. Persephone's powers are very weak for the first two centuries of her life because she's disconnected from Olympus/the Underworld, which are the epicenters of divine power. They're both equally powerful and necessary to the order of the world. However, she's still more powerful than a nymph by the time she's about 200. Another reason that she develops so slowly is that Demeter hides her from /everyone/, meaning no special blessings or anything. She is actually an isolated village girl because the way that Olympus works in this universe is especially cut-throat. Hera would have (and does) use Persephone as a pawn to punish Demeter for [secret surprise information that will be revealed later]. Artemis is very much the odd-one out for being kind to Persephone and offering her a place to stay.

Eris Redesign Edit

Good day Anti-LO Tumblr!

I've been lurking around these tags for a while. I've seen all the asks, rants, edits, analyses, and everything else. So I decided to throw my hat into the ring with an Eris redesign/edit

Now I've never done an edit for this comic before so I apologize about that! But here's what I got.

Considering her backstory with how unpredictable she was, I decided that an angsty teen vibe would be an interesting route to explore.

Took off that random stray feather. It seems hit or miss to a lot of people but I couldn't really stand it. She gets a feather mohawk now (ANGSTY TEEN VIBES!!!)

I gave her some piercings because they seemed fitting.

Edited her eyes to have Hera's eye color. Partially familial resemblance and partially because the green would be a nice contrast.

Added a small fang because I also felt it was fitting.

Finally, I gave her a red gradient on her hands. Mainly to be a bit more cohesive with the red on her face.

She would also have sharp, black nails but the panel selected didn't really allow that.

But yeah! That's what I got! I hope you guys like it and I'll definitely be posting some more edits here in the future <3

Rewrites and redesigns of Hera and Morpheus bc they deserve it.

Hera, at least how I’ve done her here, is very Emma Frost inspired in her attitude and outfit. She used to be even more luxuriously golden, but she’s faded a little, notably in her skin, due to the state of her mental health, due to Kronos and other factors. I also gave her green eyes instead of blue to reflect her infamous jealous streak.

Morpheus deserves so much better than what RS gives her lmao so I completely overhauled her. She’s like an old Hollywood movie star, almost ten feet tall and is thoroughly unbothered by everything. Hades is scared of her. Her wings only emerge when she’s about to fuck someone up, otherwise appearing as a part of her hat. I also snuck a few poppies, her other symbol, in there.

Persephone Rewrite

Her personality

Kore is enthusiastic, a go getter, smart, and flirty. She's known to be very kind and inquisitive but also has a very dark side to her.

Her fashion

She dresses mostly modern with a splash of traditional, she favors chokers and the colors black and gold. Her hair is worn typically short as she does a lot of garden work, but it can grow out either at will or when she's nervous, she only wears her hair long when she feels like it.

Her background

She's the daughter of Demeter, Demeter formed her out of flowers, meaning she has no father. Her and her mother have a stellar relationship with, of course, the normal hang ups of a mother daughter relationship. She hails from the country but has always been caught up with the world via the Internet. She's friends with Hecate, Hermes, Artemis, and of course, the nymphs that live close to her.

Design notes

I didn't intend on her being black coded, but I went with it anyway as I feel there needs to be better black/brown representation in LO (and that's just according to my pasty white ass). I wanted her to be more sexy and flirty in a more "I'm a mature and sensible woman" sort of way instead of born sexy yesterday. Yes, she's still sort of naive, given she grew up in the country and is adjusting to city life, but she isn't a dumb little damsel. I went with some of her holy colors for her color scheme.

What else should you know?

She uses she/her and enjoys sparkling grape juice. She's vegan, enjoys beer, and likes seaweed snacks. She's also pierced to hell and back, but she leaves her jewelry out sometimes because she blows through aesthetics.
