Tughlaq Dynasty
The Tughlaq dynasty (also spelt Tughluq), ruled the Delhi sultanate from 1320 to 1413. Followed by the Khalji dynasty and preceded by the Sayyids, the Tughlaq dynasty formed an important period in the history and culture of the Sultanate. Economic life accelerated due to the establishment of karkhanas or factories, and irrigated canals facilitated agriculture. Inland and maritime trade increased and quickened the process of urbanization. Urban centers, schools, mosques, and public buildings also proliferated.
The Delhi Sultanate
In 1192 the victory of Muhammed of Ghur over the Rajput King, Prithviraj Chauhan III (r. c. 1177-1192) led to an alien rule being established in the Indian subcontinent. Shamsuddin Iltutmish (r. 1210-1236) styled himself as Sultan in 1206, and the Delhi Sultanate continued until 1526 when Ziauddin Babur (1483–1530) defeated Ibrahim Lodi (r.1517-1526). The Delhi Sultanate's rulers followed the Islamic faith.

EPISODE 15- THE URBAN OASIS OF LODHI GARDEN
Thank you for your extensive adoration and support towards the last blog, you people are legends! So after a long time, I am back with another one of my escapades in this city replenished with purposes. So let's start, with the full moon smiling in the open sky and the air filled with dreams, I started my journey towards the Lodhi Garden when I took the turn towards the Lodhi art district I saw this charmer:
Tumblr media
I couldn't comprehend the beauty of the graffiti. It was so beautiful and out of the world! I stood there for a gleam to believe that the art was not real. I feared that it might jump on me at any moment. I somehow bought my mind out of the portrait and moved towards the gate of Lodhi garden. As I moved inside I was greeted with these gorgeous flowers.
Tumblr media
Ohh, the stunning beauty of the pink Bougainvillea was remarking the commencement of summer. Thrilled by this site I moved forward just to catch a glimpse of one of the best animal interactions of my life.
Tumblr media
I met my friend Donald Duck! out exploring Lodhi garden with his friends and family! I followed them for a moment and they left me at a big stone house as I veered around I read the board which said The Tomb of Sikandar Lodi. I got thrilled by this sign and proceeded inside just to enter a different world. As I entered the main chamber a hoard of bats chased me out of the place and I ran for my life. Fighting the bats I ended up clicking this picture from the top of the tomb.
Tumblr media
After this strange interaction, I moved forward to exploring the loveliness of the garden where many of the most powerful people in the country come for a walk as it was very near to the ministry. After passing through a scenic lake I saw one of the most captivating monuments at the center of the garden.
Tumblr media
The vibe of the place was so vibrant and beautiful that I began wondering what the place might have been at the time it was built. I moved forward and looked at the broken blue marble which was attached to the ends of the monuments I was pretty sure that these were imported from some other country. I hauled and saw one of the most carved mosques I had ever seen.
Tumblr media
I can tell that the mosque was one of a kind and aesthetically pleasing. I questioned whether the site I was seeing was real or a work of my fantasies. To make myself believe I moved forward.
Tumblr media
Oh my, the Arabic carvings were telling a new tale about the environment. I wondered how precise one might have to be to do such a kind of work. Sadly I wasn't able to find any translation of the texts :(
Tumblr media
(the inside beauty of the mosque)
Half-heartedly I returned to my home still thinking about the glamour of the place I researched about the place. Here are some of my findings. Lodhi Gardens trace their history back to 1444 when the tomb of Mohammed Shah, a Sayyid Dynasty ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, was erected here by his son and the last ruler of the dynasty, Ala-ud-din Alam Shah. Another significant tomb located in the area is that of Sikander Lodi from the Lodi Dynasty, which was built in 1517 by his son Ibrahim Lodi.
Tumblr media
It covers an area of over 90 acres and houses many 15th-century structures that display spectacular architectural beauty. The mausoleum of Mohammed Shah features Islamic and Hindu architectural styles. Designed with eight small domed structures or chattris, each adorned with a lotus finial, ornate pinnacles at the corners, a huge central dome, and an octagonal chamber, the tomb is a sight to behold.
Tumblr media
Here is a small video about my journey exploring the urban oasis of the lodhi garden.
With this, we come to the end of this blog hope you liked it. Would love to here your views and thought about it in the comments
Until next time
With love

A Day Visit To Lodhi Garden with my friend💕💕
Hello Everyone
So few days back me and my friends went to Lodhi Garden . I love nature and my friends to so we decided to go to Lodhi Garden. We travelled by metro and then took a battery rickshaw . We bargen too because he is is taking money which is not necessary it is near only then he agree then uncle dropped us near the gate . I was pretty excited to know what is all about and to see the lodhi garden it was my first time that I am visiting lodhi garden . So then we both went inside .
Everyone can see the excitement level on my face I usually day out that’s why too I think I m usually get excited 😂😅 . Basically Lodi Garden, located on Lodi Road between Safdurjung’s Tomb and Khan Market in south Delhi, covers an area of 90 acres and is dotted with beautiful monuments and tombs, belonging to the Sayyid, Lodi and Mughal dynasties.
And the lodhi garden special because Boasting of impressive architecture and impeccable natural beauty, the garden and the structures within it echo the national capital’s illustrious tryst with history. The architectural heritage of around 500 years and the serene green setting make Lodhi Gardens a prime attraction in Delhi.
Tumblr media
Lodhi Garden was literally very preety and beautiful 😍❤️ me and my friend click so many pictures of us. And we got to know so many things their history lodhi garden was made at the time of Mughal Empire .
So basically The History of Lodi Gardens is traced back to 1444 AD, the tomb of Mohammad Shah, the ruler of the Sayyid dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate, was built here by his son and the last ruler of the dynasty, Ala-ud-din Alam Shah.
It was fun to know about our history we and my friend enjoyed a lot then we gone to eat the good because we were so hungry. Then we eat momos, pizza , colddrink we both tummy full like literally we ate icecream then our tummy is literally chotu saa and we ate so much 😂 then our tummy started paining because of over eating but its okayy😅 then we gone to our homes that was a small day out that gone pretty well we enjoyed and i hope you guys also enjoyed💕💕.
A little bit about MySelf💗
I am bhavika and I born and raise in Delhi. Delhi is well known for its great historical significance as it home to powerful such as the pandavas and mughals. The history of city as the epic Mahabharata. The town eas know as Indraprastha where pandavas used to live.
Tumblr media
So I m the person who is closely connected to nature. My mother is too connected with nature and she loves gardening my terrace is literally filled with plants she grows some vegetables too and fruits. So you can say that I am inspired by her only🌿🖇️✨.
So I feel like being close to nature is more of providing peace to mind and heart . People often hurt us but nature don’t it heals us🌻.
the trees , the forests , the sound of river , the twinkling of stars , the birds , the sky , the sunrise , the sunsets everything is so soothing🌷. NATURE is so captivating .
I could spend hours watching nature and talking to it ..it never disappoints us.It makes us happy cheers our mood and the most important thing is don’t judge us like people do . People and nature are the creation of god but are totally contradictory to each other, are totally different from each other. On one hand they both are important but on the other hand are difficult to understand🌻💗💗.

Indian History
The heading might seem like a monologue to most people but Indian history is one of the topics close to my heart and it makes me hold my head high to belong to a country with such magnificent heritage. Despite being a student of Science, I’ve always felt a connection with the subject which always motivates me to peruse books and get an even bigger glimpse into the world of kings and queens, of artists and magicians, a time when people lived without the technology which has become an imminent part of the modern world today, a time when music had the power to bring rain, a time when bullock carts were the only transport available to man and a time when splendour reigned our country, the time when India was called ‘The Golden Bird’. The real reason why I'm writing this is because I feel that history is highly underrated and is a victim of generations of hatred, with literally every student crying tears of frustration as they try to memorize the names and dates on the last day of the exams, cramming everything into their minds and just writing it all out on the exam sheet, never to think of it again. But the fact remains that history is not just mugging up books as we picture when we hear the word- it’s way more than that. History is not just a subject, it's a reminder of all the great deeds that our ancestors have done, of where our roots come from and a constant lesson to us that no matter how tough things seem, there's always a solution- you just have to look for it. It all started with the Rigveda, the oldest, most pure age of ancient history when women were given an equal status to men, their activities were not constantly frowned upon and when God was worshipped with actual devotedness and not just for our selfish benefits as it is today. Following it, was the Yajurveda, then the Samaveda and finally the Atharvaveda. As the civilisations came to pass, we find that the stature of women in society continued to deteriorate before finally reducing this irreplaceable half of the society as slaves of their counterparts. Harappan and Indus Valley Civilizations have left a lasting mark on our country as we find out how intelligent and broad minded the people of those times were- the ruins a symbol of a fallen legacy. The Mauryan Empire was next up as it started the trend of conquering kingdoms and having kings and queens with Chandragupta Maurya as the founder, one of the greatest rulers India has known. The Magadha dynasty brought with it the ideas of provinces and states, of efficient management and luxurious royal lifestyle, making it one of the most remembered dynasties that we have had. The South saw its own share of royal ages as it was ruled by the Cholas, the Cheras and the Pandyas. The Gupta empire came into being soon after, one of the most ancient and prosperous ages of the country's empires. Delhi soon became a vital city of attraction for conquerers all over the world as the Delhi Sultanate was founded by Qutubuddin Aibak beginning with the Slave Dynasty, then the Khilji Dynasty, Tughlaq, Sayyid and Lodi dynasties ending only when Babur defeated Ibrahim Lodi and took on the throne of Delhi. The ever powerful Mughals then ruled Indian for many years, with Babur followed by Humayun, Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb. The Mughal empire deteriorated after Aurangzeb and their mighty legacy ended with the death of Bahadur Shah Zafar at the hands of the British. The British ruled us for 150 years or so which saw some of the most challenging and revolting events in Indian history including the Partition of India, the formation of the Indian National Congress, the revolt of 1857 and expulsion of the British from India in 1947. From then onwards, India has been her own master and has flourished through hurdles and disappointments. It is my pride to have had a chance to read about our beautiful and ever inspiring culture and even more to be able to bring it out in words for you all. Its not just something to be proud of, it belongs to me and to every Indian who has the honour of being born on this soil.

On this day, May 22, 1545, the founder of the Sur dynasty of India (1540-1556), Sher Shah Suri died from a gunpowder explosion during the siege of Kalinjar fort. The short reign of Sher Shah Suri (1540-1545) left a lasting impact on the Indian subcontinent.
According to Satish Chandra, "We do not know precisely when and where Farid, later Sher Shah, was born. The consensus of opinion among modern scholars is that he was born in Narnaul (in modern-day Haryana) in 1486 or so, during the reign of Bahlol Lodi (d. 1489)."
By the time Babur established himself in India (1526), Sher Khan had risen to the position of being an important figure in the politics of Bihar. After Babur's death, Humayun ascended the Mughal throne in 1530 at the age of 22. Sher Shah then came in conflict with the new Mughal ruler.
In 1539, Sher Shah defeated Humayun in the Battle of Chausa. The very next year in 1540, Sher Shah again defeated Humayun in the Battle of Kannauj and thus, formally crowned himself. After his defeat in the battle, Humayun escaped and reached Iran where he asked for military aid from Safavid Shah Tahmasp. However, in 1555, Humayun returned to India and recovered the Mughal throne of Delhi.
Although Sher Shah ruled only for about five years, he has many contributions to his credit. Sher Shah is considered to be the architect of the famous Grand Trunk Road. He renovated and extended one of the most famous roads in Asia – the Grand Trunk Road linking Sonargaon in eastern Bengal with Peshawar in western Punjab, with further extensions to Kabul.
He also stabilized the economy by establishing a trimetallic currency based on the silver rupiya, which he issued at a standard weight of 178 grains, complemented by the gold mohur and the copper dam. This standardized silver coin anticipated the modern rupee, found today in India, Indonesia, Maldives, Mauritius, Nepal, Pakistan, Seychelles, Sri Lanka among other countries.

THE GREATEST REVELATION OF THE LAST MILLENNIA! ---- MUGHAL EMPEROR BABUR, WHO (SUPPOSEDLY) 'INVADED' & 'CONQUERED' INDIA IN THE 1520s, WAS IN THE ACTUAL GOVERNING COUNCIL SINCE AGE 14, HIS FAMILY WITH AN ANGEL/LINEAGE YEAR OF 1002, & WHAT MORE, HAVING 2.8 MILLION GOVERNING COUNCIL MEMBERS IN HIS FAMILY LINEAGE, BEFORE HE EVEN ARRIVED IN INDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Was going thru the enormous Mughal dynastic legacy when my mind veered towards their Google page, my spirit instantly informing me of Emperor Babur having no lesser than 2.8 Million Governing Council members in his family lineage, (with an angel/lineage year of 1002!), before he even set foot on Indian soil!
Another interesting aside being, how the Lodi dynasty that Babur defeated to gain control over the center of India, was by itself an absolute 0 on the Governing Council front, if not by virtue of some of their fighting Generals!
Some amazing perspective, on the roots for the Mughal dynasty in India. Presenting an entirely different picture as to the real events that led to India's now most distinctive, largest spectrum, mixed religious society!
