~some thoughts

I tend to keep this mini blog to showcase the beautiful work, but this time I want to express my feelings more words than just posting pictures. Needless to say, I enjoyed watching every episode of “The Penthouse - War in life” and its movie costumes/ characters.

I even stored lots of Penthouse’s fashion photos but cannot share anymore cause I’m in deep emotion with the final episode. I was extremely devastated by SuRyeon’s decision to leave her kids and beloved Logan. My heart just broke into a thousand pieces. How can I get over that horrendous finale ?! After all of the drama and trauma, our Logryeon couple deserves a happy ending in real life, both being alive. 

Gonna miss them so much !!!

P/s: Next time I see any film with that writer-nim, I run away immediately. I promise.

My final rant/review! Now that I've had some time to digest it, I think I get the idea of the parents being gone so that the children can do better. It wasn't my dream ending, but I understand what kim soon ok was trying to do. That being said I was still disappointed by some stuff.

If they were going to show ghosts...why not show everyone? I wanted a back row full of dead people at that concert: yoonyoon, seola, logryeon, na aegyo. If you're gonna do fantasy you should go all the way.

Although I loved the court scene and eunbyeol giving herself the same scar CSJ gave to OYH, I still wasn't completely satisfied with CSJ's ending and punishment. I couldn't really tell you why, maybe it felt rushed, maybe there was too much I wanted to happen idk.

Kang Mari moving in a penthouse kinda defeats the point? I thought people should live closer to the ground? just because it's Simwoon palace and not Hera Palace doesn't mean corruption and greed will not grow there. This idea of good rich people vs bad rich people is just boring and unrealistic to me. Like I understand that all the adults died because they went too far, but it's not like they all started in the same place. Why would yoonhee not want to get revenge on Seojin? She ruined her life. She was punished for wanting more but why wouldn't she? Ofc I'm not justifying her crime, and like I said I do understand the ending, but I think the least they could've done is aknowledge in the end that sth like a penthouse shouldn't exist.

To end on a positive note, I loved the scene between seokkyeong and the beggar and that it was open for interpretation. they never found dantae's body and it's the penthouse so why not 😂
