It was completely unnecessary. Stupid even. Which only served to make Andrew angrier. He saw the stressor, felt the upcoming panic, and still he couldn’t stop it. He hated what a few restless nights could reduce him to. Aaron wasn’t in danger, he’d just been tripped into. Andrew wasn’t in danger, he was just surrounded by strangers. Kind strangers, but strangers.

He didn’t feel safe, and his lungs decided to stop breathing about it.

Aaron was calling after him but Andrew was leaving. He shouldn’t be, it was less safe the further he went from his brother, but Aaron was not who the panic wanted to see. Abram was somewhere in this crowd. Andrew needed to find him before the attack got out of control.

I am so thankful to all the artists out there who post their WIPs.

As someone who's taking up art again for the first time in like... Over fifteen years, it is INCREDIBLY helpful to see how you all, like, make your art.

How you sketch, how you form shapes, how you draw hair, how you figure out the face or the blocking or the shading.

I feel like whenever I see a WIP, I'm getting a tutorial of what to do by master craftspeople.

I'm still trying to find my own style, still trying to get my brain to click into how far down on the head the eyes need to be and how long limbs need to be and how to simplify things let's not talk about hands right now but looking at how you all go from a sketch to your finished pieces is just so god damned helpful.

So thank you artists!

So yeah! This is my (self-insert) OC Wolfsbane Cookie!

Normally they wear glasses, I just prefer how they look without them/don't like drawing them.

Basically they did time crime for like a year (bffs with twizzly) and then took a break for a year. Now they're just fucking around with timekeeper. I haven't thought of anything specific really.

so basically Wolfsbane used to be human but they're not anymore (cookie now, obviously)

Wolfsbane (plant) is a poisonous plant occasionally used in medicine. Because of its use in medicine it gets bottled up and sold and stuff. So Wolfsbane (cookie) is going through a rough patch in their life (or one that's particularly bland) and downs like, 17 fluid ounces of wolfsbane (plant), making it a little over 1/10 of their bloodstream. I think. I'm not one hundred percent on how the digestive system works. They die though, that’s like, way over a lethal dose.

Meanwhile in another dimension dr wasabi (and timekeeper, but they just pop in here and there, they aren't leading the experiment) is trying to pull beings from another world/dimension into their own. This will usually require the person they're trying to pull have something significant about them, whether that be emotionally or physically or whatever. (I just thought that would be neat bc usually the cookie’s have a flavor or something that’s their whole deal)

Shortly after wolfsbane becomes a cookie, Timekeeper sees them and immediately recognizes that something's up with them. More specifically, that they are an anomaly. (Wolfsbane's existence is NOT sanctioned by millennial tree cookie and has NO predictable future.) Anomalies don't really occur in life forms/make up a life form; however, this is because it makes the life form extremely unstable. Nonetheless, timekeeper is hyped and kinda immediately kidnaps Wolfsbane and stabilizes them. (That's why they have the gear around their left hand! I hate drawing it but I drew it this time!) They put wolfsbane back afterwards, but does visit them numerous times in the following weeks.

After a couple weeks of Wolfsbane being, revived? I guess? Twizzly comes over (peeled carrot cookie mentions wasabi at one point during their event) and is like haha whats that. why he so eye (I don’t think it came across in the drawing, but wolfsbane has like, abnormally large eyes. Not for any important reason, i just think its funny.) and takes it on her crew because why not.

Please forgive me for using parentheses so damn much, I’m just like that. Also feel free to ask for clarification/ask any other questions!

the irony of me some time ago me saying how I wanted to draw my pre timeskip design more, but don't really have the chance to (since soon after meeting B/rook the crew gets separated, so Gideon and B/rook aren't dating yet- just crushing, so other then longing glances and mutual unspoken yearning, i can't draw much else)

like bruh,,,,, the universe said, you'll get your chance now to draw pre timeskip now,,,,, but not in the way you wanted or thought :)

do u have any art tips?

i have a handful, yeah! idk how helpful they'll be because i'll be quite honest, idk what im doing, but i'll sure try to be as cohesive, comprehensive and helpful as i can!

pretty much my number one tip is the most annoying one to hear, which is unfortunate because it's also the most effective, but PRACTICE.

practice is genuinely the one thing that can improve your art like nothing else can.

experiment with your style, your coloring techniques, your poses, your anatomy, your use of perspective and background, anything and everything can and will help! one thing that also helps with that is finding elements of others art (their dynamic scenes/poses, their coloring or lineart style, the palettes they use, etc) and mess around with that until you find something you like.

ive been mostly doing that to try and improve my digital art because boy oh boy am i not great at that yet, and ive already noticed obvious differences between my digital art from a couple months ago to now.

depending on what medium youre using (digital, traditional) my tips would vary, because im still very new to digital art, and i mostly do traditional art.

for digital art if that's what you're using, just mess around with brushes until you find something that works best for you! dont be afraid to mess around w different methods of coloring and shading, and one thing that ive noticed makes art look a lot better digitally is using interesting color palettes and experimenting with the colors you use to shade and highlight. im not super great at this yet, so take this advice with a grain of salt lol.

for traditional art, you’d have to ask about a specific medium because i mess w quite a few and have different techniques for most, but i hope this helped at least a little, and i’d be glad to try and help further if you’d like! but as just a general overview that’s what’s been helping me A LOT lately and i’ve been improving pretty steadily!

He's a rebel! He likes to make things difficult for his precious owner.

Gambat can be such a sassy boy. Veruca can have full on conversations with him like she understands him. And when Veruca is finally aware of her crush on Diego, Gambat starts chirping at her as if he was calling her a coward and confess her feelings already. And of course Veruca took offense to that.

The internet is still out, but there will be random moments it's connected so I'm taking chances to upload the drawings into a draft and writing out the post on my phone!
