Everyone Saw it coming if they are on my blog but
Kiyotaka Ishimaru for the ask game plsssss !
Ask game Here
Sexuality Headcanon:
Now, see, starting off with a kinda hard one... Taka's an interesting bean in what I calculate his sexuality to be. Most people assume Gay since... ya know. And while I don't think that's necessarily a bad take, its the popular take. And I am one who tends to shy away from popular takes. (I am also one to vehemently project onto the characters I love). Hence, I HC Taka as Demiromantic! (and demisexual to an extent...)
Forms strong emotional bonds with people close to him? Check. Only ever seems to fall romantically for those he is extremely close with??? DOuble check babeyyy!
Gender Headcanon:
Aaaand now its simple. Taka's a male. Cut and dry. Rather fondly a guy, I must say. He strikes me as the kinda guy who would be so excited to share with you that he uses he/him pronouns! He probably did some soul searching when he first learned of transitioning and other gender orientations only to find he was rather comfortable and happy where he was. (you know he spent hours studying to learn all he could) and would be all for helping others explore their gender too!
I know a lot of people hc him and mondo both as trans, but personally I think hes just very proud of his manliness.
A ship I have with said character:
I couullddd go the easy route and say Ishimondo... But you all already know that. Instead I'm going to go with a more... scandalous... ship.
Its KiyoKiyo. Korekiyo and Kiyotaka. Its my guilty pleasure ship.
Now, granted, I imagine this as a Korekiyo who has shaken himself of his 'sister's' grasp and is "normal" (Ie LOTS of therapy), so its more like the shy introvert getting dragged along by the loud golden retriever boy but I digress. Its sweet to me. Tall lanky and smol but strong.
(And YES this originated from Danganronpa Redemption FIGHT ME---)
A BROTP I have with said character:
Once again I could go with an obvious, that being Chihiro or Hina, but you ALREADY know this and I GO AGAINST THE ORDINARY!!!
I think Sayaka and Taka would be great friends :3
Hardworking, burnout-having besties who have to be told numerous times to slow down and take a break by their chiller, sweet yet partially annoying boyfriends.
A NOTP I have with said character:
There are so many... who do I begin with... Genuinely who do I begin with. Alr I hardly see this one in the wild but Kokichi and Kiyotaka I despise. Either that's just because I hate kokichi but-- BESIDES THE POINT. Hiro and Taka is another one I don't particularly like.
I get where it comes from, the few times they interract in the canon could be seen as brotherly (I GUESS) from Hiro's standpoint but-- Idk it just kinda rubs me the wrong way. Hiro's character in general does that...
A Random Headcanon:
Taka enjoys, and is really good at boxing. (Or wrestling) Like how some stories I've read put him on the football (soccer for us americans) team (or rugby ig idk.) I have a (self-inflicted) HC that Taka has slight anger issues hes still recovering from as a child and ABSOLUTELY uses the environment of controlled violence as a way to work off pent up steam. Any sport could do that really, but the inherent homoeroticism of wrestling is just *mwah* too good to pass up.
I know people like to HC he's into some kind of martial arts lessons for the same kind of vibe, and the art of him and Peko, but I find the inante physicality of using yer fists and body as a much more... *Taka Centric* activity. Idk.
Its the same reason he really enjoys thrill rides like rollercoasters and horror movies (if he can stand to not postulate the entire plot the whole time, ruining climactic moments and making people shush him.)
General Opinions:
HE GOT FUCKING ROBBED IN CANON MY BOY---
anyway feel free to ask me about more characters!!! This was fun :3

*tips a pile of numbers onto your desk* (for the weird asks) 3, 17, 27, 41 and 49 :3
much obliged pal -- *tips a stupidly large cowboy hat* Ye've come ta the right place fer some answers.
3. do you like pasta?
Oh. Oh boy. You don't know what you have just wrought upon yourself. Upon this world! Do I LIKE PASTA??!?!
short answer; yes.
I very much love pasta :) I love any carbs, homemade bread being my number one favorite, but I have made a really good homemade pasta too! My favorite pasta shape is the farfalle bowties, or the wheels! I'm not a snob though, since I honestly couldn't tell you what any of theme are supposed to be served with ahah :D
I think I even spent a good portion of my childhood subsiding on buttered noodles! Which.... really hasn't changed much to now.
17. an earliest obsession you remember?
hoo boy.
So my first fandom i 'joined' (loosely calling it that bc I made fanfic but didn't really interract with people) was Doctor Who. And besides my love of Christopher Eccleston, I wouldn't really call it an obsession.
However.... A little indie show made by a pretty small toy company called LEGO NINJAGO!!!! caught my young prepubescent mind and I became obsessed with Zane. My first true fictional crush.
Before then, my mind had not yet been tainted by the intense feelings of fictional crushes and soul sucking fandoms. (Though once again it wasn't really my first fandom, since I made fanfic but never really engaged in the fandom.)
27. books or films?
It depends on the franchise! I used to be a huge bookworm in elementary and middle school, so i've been around my fair share of novels. As a writer, I do try and expand my view to take in other writing styles and ideas I may not have thought about on my own!
Though... To be fair I haven't seen a film in recent years that has affected me deeply as some books have (Aside from In Space With Markiplier, that is not a film that is a goddamn masterpiece). So I guess I'd have to say book! I've read most of the classic literature stuff, and have bought 'The Night Circus' by Erin Morgentern and 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' by Ray Bradbury. Which is funny, because they're both about carnivals that spring up out of nowhere except one is whimsical and the other is horror lol.
41. you gotta have a favorite beatles song, what is it?
uhhhhhhh....... I don't listen to the Beatles, and unfortunately the one song I would know well is Hey Jude, which gives me bad memories of a time I don't wish to remember.
49. what scents do you like?
I LOVE SCENTS
scents are wonderful. I love a lot of scents! To name a few, fresh baked bread (I like the smell of gluten and yeast), lavender, spices, hot coffee, earl grey tea, espresso, pine, any floral scent, but my absolute favorite scent is this discontinued Yankee Candle called Pumpkin Ginger Bark. It is the most balanced sweet, spicy and holiday-y scent ever and I will be so sad when I burn it all up.
Hope I answered them all satisfactorily ;))

5, 11, 16, and 19 please.
(Link to ask)
Absolutely!
5. Anything you haven鈥檛 drawn yet but want to?
I've got so many ideas of stuff I want to draw, but just never get the time to do. The most recent fanfic comic I did was one of them until recently! But I guess a few would be some scenes from Assassins! that I haven't gotten around to illustrating, some more character study sheets, as well as an entire long running comic I plan to create once Cigarettes and Assassins! are both complete! Just to name a few...
In terms of like... concepts or physical things and ideas I have wanted to draw but haven't, I don't really have any qualms. I'm pretty good at just doing whatever I feel like in that regard lol.
11. Favorite comment you鈥檝e ever recieved on your work?
I don't receive many comments on my stuff, which is unfortunate but not something I can really change. The one that has stuck out to me the most, however was one that I received on One Mistake when I was still in the middle of finishing it.
It was a bit of an indepth criticism of a certain character dynamic I had made the focal point of that part of the story, and a critique on how I had handled the 'making up' portion of the relationship.
While criticism may not be the first thing most people think of in terms of 'favorite comments' I cherish it for the sole reason that it was the first time anyone had given me an analytical response to something I had meant to be taken with that analytical context. It was the reply I was hoping people would give to the part of a story I had put a lot of time, effort and continuity into. Plus, the ideas being presented were things I had already been toiling over in my rewrite of One Mistake to begin with, so that was also pretty cool to feel like I was sharing a mindset with someone absorbing my creation.
I also just now realized this was meant for art stuff and not fanfic lol. Same applies to artwork I guess, still don't get many comments so none in particular really stand out.
16. What鈥檚 the most daunting part of your process? Ex, planning, sketching, lineart, rendering etc
hmmm.... that is a thought provoker for sure. I don't really have one part of the artmaking process I favor over the others, since it is all just kind of a process for me. Ever since I started this cool thing of turning my sketches into my lineart via the airbrush tool in Paint Tool Sai, I haven't really had any problems!
I'd say the most daunting process is just getting started. Putting pen to paper and just doing sometimes seems impossible. But if I just force myself to sit down and start, it usually turns out ok.
19. Favourite character(s) to draw?
You'd expect me to say Kiyotaka. Which is half true, mainly because I've drawn him so much and he has been the catalyst to change my art style entirely. But believe it or not, I used to never draw people, like at all. I was a furry artist in the lamest sense of the word, since most of my OC's at the time were animals in some capacity. So I really should give it to Taka for pushing me out of my comfort zone and forcing me to take the daunting journey of learning over two years how to draw people good.
The characters that are my real true favorites to draw are my OC's of course. James, Goose and The Oposstag to be specific!
They're my babies, my darlings, my easiest things to draw. James specifically, used to be my go-to if I was ever in a slump and needed to draw something easy and simple. Bones and furry creatures have always been my specialty when it came to art, (If you've seen any of my animal-ish drawings you could see the difference in quality compared to drawing people) It just always has come easier to me than drawing people, but as an artist, I need to push myself out of my comfort zone to improve, and I'd say I've done a pretty good job improving!
Thank you so much for the ask, I hope I answered it all in good proper english and good proper wordage :)))
