oh, yeah, yeah!! i imagine geminisnail kinda like a cat? like, she will be all cozy and cuddle up to pearl, but only if pearl isn't actively trying to get her attention

let's talk about lanolin

shuffles through my many lanolin files in my brain trying to figure out which one i want to ramble about UHHH SHIT OK

SO! i'd wager she could end up in speed battle and dash at some time within the next like... maybe two years ish? not super soon but with surge being added fairly recently, the valhalla surge skin, and with lano's teammates being in the game since 2023 (i think??? i don't remember when tangle and whisper were added) i don't think we're too far off from more idw characters being brought into the mobile games.

now, as for her abilities: i tend to automatically group characters into heroes style teams, and use whatever fits best between speed flight and power as a general basis when i think of movesets for characters. for the diamond cutters, it's tangle speed, whisper flight, and lano power. this is also reflected in the mobile games, with the wispon allowing for hovering, and all of tangle's abilities speeding her up and slowing others down. so yes, she's power to me.

on top of this, her bell wispon isn't nearly as flexible as whisper's variable one, seeing as she only has maggie while whisper carries five. however, maggie is a rhythm wisp, allowing for something with a music theme like what we have for popstar amy, dj vector, rockstar rouge, idol shadow, drummer cream, bassist blaze, and punk zazz. yes i looked through them all- i needed inspiration on what sort of thing would fit lano best.

finally, hand to hand combat. a lot of characters in speed battle use weapons, but a bunch also just use their own raw power. for lanolin, i'd say this would be something that real life sheep do- like headbutting (something she actually did in one issue, to knock tangle out of the way of one of eggman's traps). i don't think this would take damage, but maybe more like tangle's abilities taking other players' speed.

with all this in mind: here are my takes on lano in speed battle.

STATS:

speed - 5/10 ; acceleration - 7/10 ; strength - 9/10

ABILITIES:

rim shot - firing a bolt from the bell wispon, stunning anyone in its path and collecting rings

explosive mine - this is literally the same one a bunch of characters have. she yoinked it from knuckles

stampede - boosts lano down the track headfirst and takes the speed of anyone you run into

this is a wild breed mareep. wild breed mareep dont need to be sheared as they were not bred to produce as much thick wool as domestic mareep.

wild breed mareep shed their wool quicker and easier because if they couldnt then they wouldnt be able to survive in the wild.

im a furry but in a really casual way i'd say! I used to have a fursona but honestly haven't had one since i was about 14 or 15, but I really miss having one and making fursuits :P

I'm thinking of making a fursona again and sometimes like the idea of getting back into fursuit & puppetry making but it's a pretty expensive hobby haha!

I just had a thought while watching pearls latest impossible Minecraft video, you think if her and Gem tie death wise, they'd both get crowns?

i really think there are only two ways for this to get resolved in this scenario

either we crown both of them, matching crowns and the number of fanart of them standing over bloodied corpse, very religious painting-like, increases ×100

when i originally learned that lanolin was a sheep i got so mad. we couldve had lanolin the pangolin. like. peak was right there.

i mean lanolin is a chemical secreted by sheep to protect their skin when being sheared, so it wouldn't have made much sense for another animal, but it would have been an INCREDIBLE naming choice for the sound of the words alone.

that being said, i really like when names rhyme in fiction, or at least have parts that sound semi-similar. nightlight is a valid warrior cats name. pinkie pie is alliteration. i feel like we should get more of that in sonic! whisper's full name is alliterative, so it's not like sonic team is shying away from it entirely. that jester character hasn't had a name reveal yet unless i missed it, so what if it were fester? their species is a little ambiguous but they seem to be either feline or canine, what if their name started with C for cat or D for dog?

maybe in the future we'll get a new character with a name similar to these!

Lost Fic #194

1. Turning to my fellow forum members because I can't find the fic and fear it might have been deleted: The fic starts with Crowley and Aziraphale at the Ritz talking about the Fall and Aziraphale is terrified of the idea of Falling. They have an argument and Crowley says something like I wish you had fallen then you wouldn't be so scared all the time and then Aziraphale leaves. The next morning Crowley goes to the bookshop to apologize and finds Aziraphale has Fallen, but also hasn't? There is now a Fallen Aziraphale with sheep horns and also a non fallen Aziraphale. The latter is seated at his desk and hasn't acknowledged his demon counterpart or realized they are there. Crowley wanting to figure out how this happens decides to take Fallen Aziraphale to his flat, but discovers that if they are away from Angel Aziraphale Fallen Aziraphale passes out. The fic centers on Crowley dealing with 2 Aziraphales and trying to explore a relationship with both. Later we learn that Aziraphale forced himself to forget he made the Fallen Aziraphale to explore what a relationship with Crowley could be like without the risk of Falling. There is a scene where Crowley buys fallen Aziraphale a floral hairband thing for around their horns. And he panics when Fallen Aziraphale suddenly vanishes when angel Aziraphale finally acknowledges he created them and is controlling both bodies in a 1 soul 2 bodies kind of deal. - @05nataku

I have the habit of screenshotting/copy and pasting bits and pieces of fics that stuck with me somewhere, but recently I found one without name of the fic or the author. 3. Hello! :-) I'm looking for a 'through the ages' type fic. It was about how Crowley adopted a girl from Pompeii. From what I remember he had a huge house and Aziraphale & Crowley just bickered the entire time. They may have had to fake a relationship, but I'm not 100% sure about that. 4. Hi, hearing that series 3 will be based on the unwritten sequel reminded me of an old fic, but I've been unable to find it. The fic was book!omens / pre-tv series, and was a fan version of the unwritten sequel based on the info publicly available from what NG & TP had said about the plot - it involved Crowley & Aziraphale travelling America, Jesus, national parks, Aziraphale making notes while watching free 15 mins of porn on the TV (and annoying Crowley with how much time this was taking up). I am not sure if the fic was on a03, I have vague memories of reading it not on a white screen, so think it was maybe hosted on LiveJournal? I think I originally found it via a rec list of classic fics on tumblr sometime shortly after S1 came out, but have been unable to find that list. 5. Hello hello hello! Lovely stuff that you all are doing here! I've sauntered vaguely into this askbox because I'm looking for something- I really don't have high hopes for this to be found- it would take at least half a miracle, I think. But if anyone can find it, it's gonna be you, so i thought I might as well give it a shot. A few months ago, I read a wonderful little fic about Hastur and Ligur that I just CANNOT find anymore- pre fall setting, both were angels. Ligur was building the moon (or helping) and Hastur was some kind of watcher angel who was supposed to observe everything? I'm afraid I'm a bit blurry on the details, but I think Hastur was being made fun of by the other angels, and he hid in some kind of cave, feeling terribly overwhelmed and anxious- where Ligur later found him. The story then went on a little to describe the relationship they ended up forming through that. I'm terribly sorry that this is not a lot of info to go off of- I've looked through hundereds of fics and everything on the maggot husbands tag- but nothing was ringing any bells. Might have overlooked it, I'm not sure. It could just be gone. If there is any way anyone could help me find this again, I would be eternally grateful. But either way- thank you for taking the time to read this- and thank you for all the lovely work you do! - anon
