Gyuvin thinks you’re the prettiest person he’s ever seen. Even with unbrushed hair and the annoying sounds you make from chewing your sandwich really loudly in front of him, he finds himself enamored by you. 

You first met at 5 years old, when he moved into the building where you lived. Your mom ran the rooftop garden, and as a kid you spent most of your afternoons tending to the flowers. One spring, a young Gyuvin found himself making his way up to the rooftop. There, he saw you smelling the yellow daffodils. Your mom signalled for him to come inspect it closer, but as he approached the flowers he accidentally sneezed all over you. To his surprise, you just laughed. And since then, he’s correlated you to the springtime – bright, colorful, and inviting.

At that time, he was 12 years old so he thought it was silly. Now he feels like a fool for not doing it way earlier.

Gyuvin doesn’t tell you about the confession letter he left in your locker, the day Gunwook asked about the flowers either. He doesn’t tell you he went to school earlier than you on Monday morning to retrieve it back. He doesn’t tell you that he loves you, and perhaps has loved you all his life. He doesn’t tell you that he’s scared to lose you to him.

He doesn’t tell you a lot of things. 

And at present time, as he watches you and Gunwook get up from your table in the courtyard, walking away side by side with hands intertwined, he realizes he’s going to live the rest of his life in regret – all because he didn’t say anything.

A/N: this is my first time writing angst with no comfort at the end. though it was painful, I genuinely enjoyed writing this. I'm a geonppangdan myself so I didn't want to make it seem like gunwook was the enemy either.

also note that gunwook had no idea about the single pink peony, so that's all him. all gyuvin shared with him was the type of flower that y/n likes.

pink peonies are no longer in season, so most stores don't have it. hence, that's why gunwook had to check the wild flower garden to chance upon one. so, maybe they are soulmates.

Alright the word vomit that is subject to change off my "Pericles and Jones gain braincells and realize that they are not going to give into the curse and don't blackmail the og Mystery Inc gang" au. I have a summary for that here.

This ended up being really long but it's the whole word vomit of the au of what I got so far.

So let's start with the basics: Why Pericles nopes out of the curse.

Simple. Realized he was being manipulated into joining those who came before him, and saw it as an insult to his intelligence to be manipulated by something smarter than him and refused to play the game. Plus, put his friends over his selfish desires because he realized they were all in danger in a way he didn't want them to be. Which in turn also helps Jones nope out because if the smart parrot of all things is telling you to not go after the curse after the massive amount of disappearances and the way mystery groups were targeted and how nothing good has ever come from people being involved in the curse, it would be a good idea to listen.

What does that mean for the OG Mystery Inc?

Pericles and Jones sat them down, told them for the love of all things under the sun DO NOT go looking into this because it's a curse and you're probably going to end up dead or something much worse. Divine intervention actually got them to listen...might have also been the fact Jones, an adult, and Pericles, someone they trusted, told them for their own safety not to look into it and Pericles even brought the history to the table to prove it. So they pretty much got to continue on with their lives and completely dodge a cursed bullet that would have shot them all at different times in the future. Nobody got black mailed and everyone is okay! ...sorta.

Brad and Judy and the accidental birth of Fred

(Just for context, the OG Gang always struck me as like second year high school when they got blackmailed into leaving so they're like, at this point, in their senior year) I see the OG Gang, at least Brad and Judy, keeping a positive relationship with Jones as he had access to the town's archives and would aid them on mysteries plus Jones may have become like an older brother figure to Brad. And I'll just share this piece from the current wip I am working on to explain what happens. "Brad and Judy had always had good heads on their shoulders. They were both smart and resourceful. They were in a healthy relationship that was seemingly going to follow them out of high school as well. But they were still kids despite both being eighteen but barely seniors. They were young. Really young when Brad had frantically showed up at Jones’ apartment." Aka Judy ended up accidentally pregnant during her final year of high school. Jones finds out first, and is the only one to know for sometime before Cassidy is helping Judy hold her hair back while she's puking out her guts on a near daily basis. Which in turn leads to the rest of the group knowing. Judy and Brad are completely underestimating what having a kid will mean. They are under the delusion that life will resume as normal after the birth of their unborn kid but also certain that they will be able to take care of him despite both of them still being in high school with plans to go into med school right after they graduate. And so, mystery solving is put on the back burner cuz no one wants to risk Judy's (and the baby's) safety. Brad and Judy hang out with Jones a lot more often since they don't have a lot of people in the know about Judy's pregnancy, and besides, Ricky and Cassidy are FINALLY working things out (more on that later) Jones is there when Judy has the baby. Both her and Brad realize at the worst possible time that they are not suitable to be parents, as both of them are still in school, they cannot afford to take care of him, and Judy fears that if they make him stay, he'll hate them in the future because they were too stubborn and too selfish to give him a better chance. Something out there intervenes again. Another wip to explain. “Was there ever a name in mind for him?” Jones wasn’t sure why he asked. Judy and Brad shared a look before Judy let out a soft laugh.  “We were going to name him Fred,” Brad explained.  “After you,” Judy clarified. And of course, Jones cannot just let these two kids he sees as younger siblings/close friends, just give their kid up to some stranger where his fate is uncertain after they told him they were going to name the baby after him. So Brad and Judy hand custody over to Jones, Jones keeps Fred's name as is because how could he not, and Fred Jones Jr is alive and well in the world. Brad and Judy are noted to be his uncle and aunt and try to be involved as they can (more on that later)

Ricky, Cassidy, and Pericles

Alright. I mentioned earlier that Ricky and Cassidy were starting to figure things out while Brad and Judy had the baby drama going on. the TLDR, without monsters chasing them on a weekly basis, and not having to hang out with the group as a whole as often, they hung out a lot more and got comfortable with each other because of it. Not to say they weren't comfortable before, but in a more "we can exist in each other's space and it isn't so incredibly awkward cuz we're both crushing on each other." Like both of them vibing to Ricky playing his keytar and just doing quality time together. Pericles is noted to have been canonically jealous of Cassidy. Well, since he's not being a selfish terrifying jerkward, he realizes that Ricky is growing up, and he actually has a chance to live now that he might not have had if they continued digging into the curse. Pericles realizes that Cassidy isn't the absolute worse because one, Cassidy makes Ricky happy. And two, if Ricky has to date anyone, Pericles rather it be Cassidy because that is the only person he is willing to share Ricky with.

So What Happens After?

Well, OG Gang grow up. They go to prom. Brad proposes to Judy. She says yes. They graduate. Cassidy is valedictorian. Brad and Judy get married in the summer before Mystery Inc finally comes to an end. As much as they loved Crystal Cove and all its unanswered questions, the young adults had to ask themselves who they were without it and wanted to find out. Brad and Judy go out of state to go to med school and study to become doctors. And may nor may not create a trap hustle on the side due to their coping methods of stress which is to build traps. Cassidy was prompted by Pericles to go into engineering, she refused and perused her passions now that she had the freedom to do so. And it is terrifying but incredibly badass. Ricky was going to go in as a journalist, changed majors and went into business. Ricky and Cassidy are not married yet. They talked about it, and had made off hand comments but they're fine where they're at. Timing is an issue again. Besides, they're happy and married in all the other ways but legally. (Maybe also cuz I wanted to get the Scooby Gang involved in the wedding party lol) Pericles, who has tagged along with Ricky and Cassidy to keep an eye on them, is glad that everyone left because that means the curse has less of reach to corrupt his friends. Fred grows up with Jones. But also an extended family in the form of the OG Gang. They try and visit for every winter break and birthday. Brad and Judy call every weekend. Cassidy and Ricky send him gifts in the mail. And Pericles be sending picture books. Fred end ups not having a lot of friends his first few years of school. He talks too much about traps and that's because when he was five, Brand and Judy had brought home a prototype net launcher that Fred found so cool he wanted to replicate it and that spawned his love of traps. It isn't until he's seven do Ricky and Cassidy move back home, with Ricky getting ownership of Destroido (it's debatable if he'll try and push for clean energy but considering the entity is still sorta alive and kicking, probably not) and Cassidy getting the K-Ghoul radio station, Brad and Judy confess that they're his parents, and he meet and befriends Shaggy and Velma, but Velma is more of his bestie in his early elem days since she's the only one who sorta understand trap talk and he understands part of her science talks since if it falls under physics, they're speaking similar languages in different fonts.

The rest of WIP that is subject to change

Brad and Judy move back when Fred is nine (they live near the high school and Fred splits his time between their house and Jones' but is usually more with Jones since his parents are usually busy and they don't want to neglect him) and Pericles is rightfully paranoid because his friends are all back in a place where something very evil and cursed is trying to get to them so he is on high alert. But, Pericles was somewhat cautious upon meeting Velma (when Fred was seven) because if Fred is the Brad/Judy spawn, Velma is the really smart friend in a sense that reminds him a little too much of Cassidy, and he's starting to worry about the curse slowly coming around the bend. But stuff should be fine...hopefully. Fred ends up having Daphne in his class when he's ten and she befriends him and he introduces her to Velma and Shaggy. And fifth grade is when Pericles nearly has a heart attack. Because now that Fred is older, he brings his friends around a lot more since Velma's mom is used to her always being at Fred's house (or the radio station when Jones can't watch them even tho Brad and Judy live nearby, they are still busy with med school), Shaggy is often forgotten to be picked up by his parents and catches a ride with Fred's dad (or sometimes Cassidy (who has become an established figure in the kid's lives as has Ricky and Pericles since they're always around Fred)) and Daphne doesn't have enough attention on her at home and hates being in the house when her parents are always so focused on her perfect sisters and here she can just be herself with her friends. Pericles is seeing the dots connect and he is paranoid. The Brad, Fred. The Judy, Daphne. The Cassidy, Velma. And the Ricky, Shaggy. He's pointed this out to his friends and they all do take notice but hope that it goes away. But it's fine. It is all totally fine. Even if the kids talk about Shaggy's dog, Scooby, that has an appetite as big as he does and likes watching movies and that they all really want to meet Scooby. But kids are full of imagination. Pericles has seen them turn a couch into a pirate ship. Has witnessed them saying that the animal heads on the wall were fantasy creatures that were going to kill them in their sleep. Made up a rumor about the forest around K-Ghoul was haunted and snatches children in the middle of the night. So he takes it all with a grain of salt when they mention things of Scooby talking. Until one day Shaggy delays the group on their way to Jone's house since he asked if he could bring his dog along since his parents don't want to be taking care of his dog when he isn't home. Pericles finds out three interesting things. One, Scooby talks. Two, the kids were not lying. Three, there are four kids, a talking animal, and that means that the curse is trying to take effect. It all hits the fan when the kids end up solving their first mystery fresh into middle school.

There's like a lot more mini details but this is like the basics lol

his love language would also be quality time. he'd literally clear his schedules just to spend time with you. if he misses you or anything, he will come to you and spend quality time together. he cherishes every second he spends with you.

he is not usually affectionate with physical touches, so you'd probably have to initiate the physical touch first. he's more of a affectionate with words type of guy. he will call you sweet endearment terms like princess, baobei, darling, you name it.

he also gets shy if you actually do initiate the physical touches. if you hold his hands, his heart literally flutters. he gets especially shy if you squish his cheeks, boop his nose or give him a little kiss. the physical touch he's most used to is hugging. he is comfortable with hugging you anytime. he'll especially hug you when he's having a tough time. a hug from you literally heals him.

ricky seems cold outside but you know him well enough to know how warm hearted, soft and cute he is. he is just a silly guy to you, often comfortable being vulnerable and showing his inner child to you.

he seems like a patient person, so he'd always tolerate whatever shenanigans you bring to the table. you can be as chaotic and unhinged as you want but this man will still tolerate you and love you. sometimes he might even join you. he is a silly guy himself after all, so you'd both have fun doing stupid shit together.

this man will buy you bouquets of different types of flowers for every occasion. you're going on a date? bouquet of roses. coming to your house to visit you? a bouquet of red chrysanthemum flowers. going grocery shopping with you? a bouquet of red tulips. he would definitely remember every meaning for all types of flowers just for you.

honestly this man would stare at you with intense love eyes and a big smile on his face. whatever you're doing, he's staring at you with his eyes full of love. he will literally do anything for you. this man is way too in love with you, I fear.

having ricky as your bf is a blessing to your eyes, constantly seeing such a handsome man everyday is honestly like medicine. when he catches you staring at him, he gets a little shy and giggles but then he'll tease you about it.

"I know I'm handsome but you can always admire my looks more in a photo" he'd say while winking.

ricky seems like he could cook so he would probably cook you homemade meals. surprisingly his cooking isn't limited to easy recipes, he could cook a full course meal ngl. he tries his best and always puts in extreme effort to make his dishes as tasty as possible. just you wait when you get sick, this man will make you a 5 star soup that'll literally cure cancer just for your little sickness.

honestly it would be fun to tease him because of his cute reactions. overall, he would be such a sweet boyfriend who spoils you rotten.

Chapter 4: Rhythm and Rhyme

Ricky had been with Vinny and the band for the past few days. Day one- Vinny knocked it out of the park. Even Chris had been stunned by the effort the younger threw into it, and tonight was one of the nights Vinny finally came out to socialize with everyone glued to Ricky’s side. Ricky’s arm was thrown over Vinny’s shoulder lightly, talking to Ryan as Vinny played on his phone. Baby steps. Little things. 

He smiled a bit at him out of the corner of his eye he could see Vinny was playing a rhythm game on his phone. It was clearly one he had picked up to distract himself. “Vinny- it’s nice to have you with us,” Ryan said making the drummer look up with those sweet green and brown eyes that felt like a forest kaleidoscope.

“W…what me? Oh-”

“It's really nice to have someone new… you also seem cool. Ricky’s been bragging you up.” Ryan commented taking a hit off his vape that smelled of strawberries and cream. “Sorry, I haven’t said much before now.”

Vinny looked up at Ricky lips slightly parted. “I… thanks.” he said turning his attention back to Ryan, “I’m still getting used to everything so it’s no big deal,” he assured the other guitarist. “It’s kinda weird being around everyone and everyone’s so talkative,” he admitted meekly, a small flare of anxiety picking up that was quickly handled by Ricky. 

“Nah…I get it,” Ryan admitted warmly to him, smoothing his hair back as she shot a smile at him warmly. “Aren’t you like… twenty?” he asked making the transition to a full conversation at least a minor bit easier for the younger.

“Yeah- Yeah, I am. I know I’m young…” “Not saying it's bad… it's impressive because you’ve mastered drumming the entire show in what… three days? Dude. That’s crazy.” Ryan pointed out, “You’re a helluva good drummer, man. We got lucky.”

Vinny was silent his lips parted in shock unsure how to accept such a compliment. “Th….thanks,” he whispered stunned before there was a noise from the kitchenette where Chris was opening the fridge to get a water bottle. 

Vinny fell silent instantly, anxiety almost drowning Ricky in the moment. Chris and Vinny hadn’t been getting along the best, not for Vinny not trying. But rather Chris’s stubbornness of dislike purely because Ricky liked Vinny as did the rest of the band. Chris knew he should be happy about it… but he couldn’t. He didn’t like seeing Ricky with this person, this willowy drummer. Seeing Ricky watch over him with those soft blues. 

The drummer swallowed as the Guitarist pulled him closer, taking in all the anxiety and stress he could. He would keep him safe. Ricky was ignoring Chris despite feeling those eyes on him and Vinny. 

“So like- you had a band before Motionless right? You mentioned it a few days ago. What kind of music was it?” Ryan asked clearly interested making Chris set his jaw trying to ignore the flare-up of frustration.  

“Oh, it was… trap music mostly. I really loved it…” he admitted, “But i fell out of it pretty fast.” Vinny answered as Ricky rubbed his back feeling the grief boil up just a bit. He had read the report. He could understand, the grief that Vinny was trying to process was… so much. Too much.

“Why’d you stop?” Chris finally asked, walking over to sit beside Ryan, who merely shifted some to make room. 

Vinny smiled sadly, trying not to overthink. “I… we were… my friend died.”

The bus fell silent. Chris swallowed. He wasn't trying to be a dick this time. Fuck. The grief that filled the room… you didn’t have to be an ESV to sense it and Ricky moved to kneel in front of Vinny, cupping his face and smoothing his hair as he fed off the grief to lower it. The youngest looked into those glowing blues breathing slow and steady, grateful, and sniffled a moment, breathing again after a minute. “T…thanks.” “No problem… wanna go for a walk to clear your head at the rest stop?” he asked to which Vinny immediately agreed. 

Chris looked at Ryan, who just watched Vinny sadly, “If you ever need to talk, Vinny, we’re all here… we won’t judge.” he promised, to which Chris nodded. 

“I wanted to apologize honestly.” Chris sighed, knowing he needed to at least try to get along with the drummer. It wasn’t Vinny’s fault Chris was a moody bitch lately. It shouldn’t be his problem either. He was smart enough to admit that… even if he hated it. He ran his fingers through his black hair averting his gaze as Vinny turned his full attention on him.

It was silent for a moment before- 

“I accept your apology. You didn’t know about anything… so I can’t blame you for wanting to know… it would have been nice to have been given more of a heads up before being told that the drums were set up for me to audition with first time meeting you though… I would have liked to warm up.” he explained softly, though it turned into a quiet ramble.

Ricky smirked at him. Gods… Vinny was a sweetheart. He may have problems but he was sweet when he was given a chance and Ricky adored it. But he wouldn’t fall in love. He had to remember that. He was nothing more than a stepping stone in Vinny’s path to recovery. 

He couldn’t resist rubbing Vinny’s cheek before standing up and sitting back down as the bus fell to silence again. It wasn’t long before they pulled into a rest stop and Ricky guided him outside with a gentle smile. “Let’s stretch out a bit. How are you feeling…?”

Following closely, Vinny smiled at him, “Sad… but also a bit happier… I missed talking to people. Ryan’s really nice. I didn’t think he would be so friendly just looking at him.” he mentioned softly, “Chris surprised me too.”

“You’re not the only one.” Ricky mumbled softly as they started to walk.

EJ Caswell - being the CFOs son has it's perks, as evidenced by EJs immediate inclusion to the program. Make no mistake though, EJ has more than earned his keep, quickly proving to be the best young salesman in the programs history and leading the team to record breaking profits. EJ has since joined the company full time, following his graduation. When not in the field, EJ likes to hang out with his former unit, giving out tips and tricks of the trade.

Gina Porter - with the leave of EJ, Gina has finally claimed the top spot in Sales. Unfortunately now she has to acclimate the new blood while being short-staffed after Nini's transfer to the California office. And if that weren't hard enough, the student leader of Building Events is proving a persistent distraction.

Mack Alana - Mack has recently been offered a position in the program. His simulation numbers were fantastic, but he's a little out of touch with what really makes a salesman. He'll have to buckle down if he's to survive Gina's intense training, and his natural charm won't work on every sucker on the street.

Former

Nini Salazar Roberts - While not as competitive as Gina, Nini maintained a respectable lead in sales for several months. Nini has since transferred to a sister office in California, coinciding with her move to pursue music in her spare time.

Marketing

Valerie Donnelly - Like EJ, Val has moved up the ranks to the company proper. While not as involved as EJ, Val takes pride in her mentoring role and is always just a text away. Which might be necessary if Miss Jenn can't cut through the drama and whip these kids into shape.

Kourtney Greene - Having been in the program for a few years, Kourt is logically the next in line for Student Leader. Bold and Beautiful, Kourtney knows what works and how to make it work for you. There's just one problem, Kourtney is graduating in a few months and she's not sure if the company offer is where she's meant to go. This on top of wrangling the large personalities on her team have made this season more stressful than anticipated.

Carlos Rodriguez - Out and Proud, Carlos tends to fill every room he's in. High class, high maintenance, the office Instagram Page looks good and Carlos would kill before letting someone else touch his baby. Carlos operates as the Student officer of Diversity, and previously spent two seasons as Miss Jenn's shadow. In a loving relationship with Seb from Building Events.

Ashlyn Caswell - as the name implies, Ash is also a legacy member, but while her cousin shines flexing his skills and seeing the sights in the field, Ashlyn much prefers the view from her desk. Surrounded by her chosen family, Ashlyn is a stable and reliable member of the team, even if she did get a rough start with Val. Now if only she didn't get stuck with the computer most prone to breakdown.

Dani Cantrall - Like Mack, Dani is a new select from the class runner ups. She has good instincts, and brings a respectable following right out the gate. But it's her abrasive personality and short temper that's going to put her to the test.

Former

Lily Keegan - Lily was once a promising addition to the marketing team, but quickly proved a toxic influence. Miss Jenn asked her to leave after her snapshot 'Autism in the Workplace' nearly got the team, and the company itself, in hot water with the press.

Building Events

Ricky Bowen - How Richard Bowen qualified for the student outreach program is still a mystery. Constantly late, and shamelessly careless, many outside observers have wondered how he's maintained his offer, let alone achieved Student Leader. But his work speaks for itself, dozens and dozens of successful events on the books. Ricky has a unique ability to get the many divisions to work together in harmony. Now if only he could manage to organize his life enough to ask out the superstar Saleswoman Gina.

Sebastian Matthews Smith - Strong and reliable, Seb's slowlife mentality makes him an asset in the whirlwind of the office. While not always the most intuitive, Seb is highly skilled at the routines of event set up and breakdown. Seb spends most breaks in the Marketing office with his partner Carlos.

Jet Curda-Lyles - Jet is new to the Building Events team. Low energy and snarky, Jet doesn't speak often, but makes sure he's heard when he does. Hired on with his sister, he can sometimes feel like he's living in the shadow of her savant gifts with technology. Some unknown drama with the siblings can make meeting tense, but both are first to defend each other. Spends breaks dozing in the lounge or sitting with his sister's service dog, JJ.

Tech Support

Maddox Curda-Lyles - Maddox has a gift, and can make any technology sing. Now if only she was so talented at communicating with people. JJ is Maddie's constant companion, providing support and protection from the outside world. Maddox has quickly risen up ranks and become the Student Leader. Rumor has it, the company is looking to scout her early into their ranks. Not that Maddie's noticed, she's got her eye on a certain Marketing Student, with unfortunate luck with computers.

Big Red Redonovich - While Maddox has a natural agility with tech, Biggie earned his way over several seasons. Sweet and gentle, Big Red is everyone's friend, though he does clash with the foreign exchange employee Antoine. Big Red and Ricky were scouted together, with some saying that Ricky only made it in due to Red refusing to leave him behind.

Penny Gets Nervous

Robin made a short stop by the house. Rosie was over the moon about the surprise visit. Penny looked at the handsome young man that seemed to be falling in love with her daughter and saw herself and Ricky reflected back. She saw the young love, the passion...

...and the positive pregnancy test that had changed her life entirely.

She wouldn't let that happen to Rosie. Had Penny not fallen pregnant at 14, Rosie wouldn't be here and her own life would have been very different. Just because it had worked in her favor did not mean she would recommend it to anyone. Especially her wildly talented, amazing, smart, beautiful daughter.

Robin was nothing but respectful. He minded his hands. They never did more than kiss. Penny had made sure that Rosie had access to birth control as soon as she had started dating. Penny had never been shy about their origins, Rosie was very educated on where babies came from and how they change your entire life.

Rosie gave her mother a knowing look. A look that said you can trust me.

Maybe it wasn't so bad that there was a young man completely obsessed with her daughter. Love wasn't a bad thing.

Wedding Impossible ep. 4

OKAY WAIT i keep changing my mind about this show but episode 4 was really good 😭 first of all, this episode was really freaking funny -- was that a ZB1 Ricky reference?? "young and rich, tall and handsome" charisma boss baby Jihan inmida?? also when that guy clapped after Jihan told the rude actress lady off and she said "did you just clap?" i laughed really hard 😭he had to clap for THE RIZZLER ‼️‼️ omg and speaking of !!!!! Jihan flirting with Ajeong isn't making me cringe anymore? well like at the beginning of the episode when he was like "your heart isn't fluttering?? are you sure? :/" i cringed so bad, but otherwise he was rizzy as hell this episode!! i love to see my boy winning. i'm still not entirely keen on Ajeong and it's still Chaewon for the win, but i'm starting to see the cuteness in Jihan x Ajeong.

also who the hell is trying to kill Dohan?? the work is so sloppy i feel like this is gonna get solved super easily and the attempted assassin is just some guy, but THEN later in the series someone is gonna legit almost kill Dohan and they better the fuck not i s2g those little TV character people better back the fuck off my pookie 🔪🔪 trying to kill someone who looks like a teddy bear is SICK WORK! also i hope the hot grandpa fucking dies, who the SHIT does he think he is? ouuuu he pissed me off so bad with his fuckin YAPPER
