He has only moments left to live.#I honestly thought LQR died (adaption memory blur) and I did *not* expect him to show up here.#That said it does act as a way more personal blow to LWJ's reputation for LQR to be there.#By staying on WWX's side he's not only throwing his reputation to the wind but also facing familial judgment.#It hits so much harder when the choice isn't an easy one to make.#Choosing to stand at someone's side when they *have* actually messed up - when they do have faults and flaws - that's love.#Love is hard work! Love is not low maintenance and good days every day.#Love is being able to say 'I am choosing to bear your weight when things are heavy.' Love is doing that reciprocally.#Which is 100% a real life lesson I am passing on #And also a plea for why it is so important we give credit to WWX's atrocities.#He *did* do some of that shit. He isn't fully innocent and it gives LWJ's choice so much more weight.

So I may or may not have started watching another silly little show from the 90s. It kinda hit the sweet spot for me, with it having a fun gimmick while also being a detective show with compelling characters. I also feel like that clown meme looking at the mountain of episodes I still have to get through.

Also I'm going into this show completely blind so please keep spoilers out of this post; as of posting this, I have just finished ep 193! :)

#detective conan #Shinichi Kudo #Conan Edogawa #I have my thoughts and criticisms but so far the show is still in the positive for me #Idk what the general fandom opinion is but the only thing I'm not looking forward to is the change in art style #which i can already see it starting to shift into #Also such a missed opportunity for Conan's thoughts to be in his Shinichi voice but oh well #on the positive side i fucking love Conan he's absolutely adorable and his voice actress does such a good job for both his voices #best moments is when he starts with the kid voice and slides into the serious voice #other best is when he makes little squeaks #also love how much of a ragdoll he is #no one holds Conan like you would hold an actual 6 year old

Ugh I can’t stand how chiefs fans are making fun of jamarr and calling him a diva (among other names) when Travis literally screamed in his coach’s face during the Super Bowl and has been ejected from a game before for disrespecting the ref.

tbh i don't mind chiefs fans shit talking ja'marr, they have every reason to hate him. he's embarrassed their team plenty and has done more than his share of shit talking. let them have their fun (although i agree it's def hypocritical after that travis moment that i guess no one ever wants to talk about!)

what upsets me SO much though is seeing our own fans turn on him. calling him selfish for the hold-in, blaming him for the contract debacle, saying he's overrated, saying we should trade him and keep tee (when they were all saying the exact opposite when tee requested a trade TWICE a few months ago 🙄). and i do understand that ja'marr was in the wrong for this penalty, but getting ridiculous penalties against the chiefs is kind of just what he does! like it cannot be emphasized enough how much that man hates the chiefs lmao.

ja'marr has been STRUGGLING these past few months and it's obvious how much of a toll this has taken on him. i'm not at all surprised things boiled over to a tipping point when he thought he was tackled in a particularly dangerous way (whether he was right or wrong, he DID believe it). right now he's taking a huge risk being out on the field at all without any real guarantees for the future. that shit is scary, it's scary betting on yourself even when you do believe in yourself 100%. people play better when they feel secure, when they feel valued, and the front office did everything they could this offseason to make him feel the opposite.

i'm really hoping he can have a big game this monday. supposedly the commanders defense is Not Good, so that should help us! (i just hope it isn't a trap game for us. but the fact that we're 0-2 i think will make the guys take it seriously.) winning helps cure all ails for competitors like ja'marr, and i believe we've got a lot of that ahead of us!

#also god i was thinking the other day #ja'marr is YOUNG!#he's not a child but like he got thrust into stardom at 18 when he was just becoming a man #and (for the most part) he has handled all that insanity well!#he's always been known as a hard worker and good team player #and now suddenly we're all turning on him because y'all are frustrated with another 0-2 start??#he is NOT the problem. find a new scapegoat!#also also i do think joe may be feeling some guilt/just a general feeling of unease after the Shove Heard Around The World #like joe wasn't at fault either. he was doing the right thing to try to break it up #but you know ja'marr felt that shove like a fucking slap in the face at that moment #it's supposed to be them against the world. ja'marr defends joe against any and everything #(including perfectly logical things like pat being objectively better lol)#joe shoving him back and taking the ref's side must have hurt. regardless of if it was right or wrong.#but of course joe would see it as having ja'marr's back because he was trying to stop further punishment #messy messy messy!#no one is in the wrong! and frankly i love the chance of Character Analysis this gave us.#but let's get the good vibes back soon please!

having a moment (and this might be my autism speaking) of remembering that when characters (or even irl people) are analyzed / analyzing themselves, some people just look at the behavioural patterns and not where they stem from in the character's psyche and go "my job is done" when the job is half finished cause to me that shit has always been synonymous and i cannot imagine fathoming meta writing from any other standpoint

#ALL POWER DEMANDS PAIN AND SACRIFICE: musings.#okay but this made me laugh so hard just because of how much it reminds me of misao JSJSJ LOL because she has had like casual 'flings'-#with people and is an addictive personality as i've talked about here once which includes her being a love junkie + getting into-#relationships with people because she is in love with the IDEA of being in love though falling in love with someone can't just happen-#like magic as it involves a bunch of hormones and stuff but misao kind of somewhat hopes that this person of interest to her will somehow-#complete her life anyhow which... yeah can definitely raise a few problems as people with a love addiction often attract love-#avoidant people because both of these types of people generally have a fear of being abandoned and controlled.#but whenever it comes to love-avoidant individual's they're also emotionally unavailable so 😬#it's unfortunately kinddd of a recipe for an unhealthy relationship that could very well lead to the both of them being in a bad place-#once they break up as misao as a love addict is constantly seeking out new love in particular as a lot of excitement and good feelings-#come with this particular type of love in particular. so yeahhh - i know that this may be a bit of a weird picture to do a meta to but-#SHHH lol i just thought it could possibly relate to her more long-term relationships that she's had with people as misao-#tends to avoid feelings of vulnerability with people as you may all know and so this leads to both her + the other person not really-#knowing what they are BC they haven't really established that deeper connection even though they've been together for a while.#not to say that i'm trying to blame misao for having problems with opening up or anything like that but she has a very disorganized-#attachment style i think and that leads to her often doing this continuous 'push and pull' thing in her romantic/sexual ships #where one moment she will want to be attached to the hip to them but the next she will be cold and distant from them.#so yeahhh. misao is honestly kind of like what i've said barton is before: a cake inside of a cake because i feel like she's got sides of-#herself that she doesn't even know about because she's been scared of being fully emotionally vulnerable with someone for a while now sadly #NO SLEEP OF THE INNOCENT. My madoka magica hot take is I like sayaka/kyoko as a ship more than madoka/homura

#madoka magica #both ships are very very good and make me feral but god kyoko/sayaka really caters to me #i am biased cuz sayaka is my favorite character lol and i just want good things for her #but i mean we get them as enemies fighting to the death obsessively like sayaka gets so focused on proving herself to kyoko she cant think #of anything else and she wastes her energy fighting her instead of witches and just the foil like #both used their wish to grant something for someone else and kyoko lost everything as a result and decided that nothing good will ever come #of helping others so she should only look after number one and of course shed think that cuz shes all she has left #meanwhile sayaka refuses to take care of herself because she never wants others to suffer so she only exists for others #and both of them change their perspectives in pursuit of each other theyre literally red and blue #and i love seeing the development of their relationship and kyokos feelings i love her offering to kill ryosuke for sayaka #and how terrified she is in that moment when she sees sayakas lifeless body separated from the soul gem #or how she shares her story and remembers why she started fighting because of sayaka and fucking #THE WAY SHE ACTS SELFLESSLY AND STUPIDLY OPTIMISTIC TO SAVE SAYAKA FROM HER WITCH FOR #THE WAY SHE SACRIFICES HERSELF TO CONNECT WITH HER THE LOVE SONG #THEM HOLDING HANDS WHILE SAYAKA CRIES AND KYOKO IS THERE FOR HER AND THEY UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER SO WELL #god fucking dammit these fucking gay people are ruining my sleep #yeah idk if its obvious but i have a specific type when it comes to ships i love when characters beat each other up and are the center of #each others motivations and go through the horrors together and come out the other side and love each other deeply #love each others flaws and theres understanding and tenderness #i haaaave to draw them but i also have to draw a lot of blorbos rn alkksk

Every appearance of the red-haired menace that is early Laurence forces me to sit here and stew upon how I will fix his introduction in the rewrite. As a coping mechanism. Unfortunately since I can't remember the parts where his character isn't just harassment so I can't cook with the themes the way I'd like to. Like the way he calls Aph "my love" after she very explicitly in the text of the game tells him not to do that... bad vibes. I think I could rock with his character if he'd done the same sort of approach in hitting on Aphmau as heavily, but the moment she lays down an actual boundary, he backs way the hell off. I could even fuck with her trying to be subtle about the boundary and him not getting it and continuing to make her uncomfortable before she snaps at him and he apologizes, saying that he truly didn't mean anything by it, and he respects the boundary she lays like his life depends on it from then on out. It would create some immediate complexity in his need for explicit communication, and backs up the sort of deeper character hinting they seem to try to do when he's talking about Castor and Cadenza, this idea that he deeply cares, if being a bit pushy on accident. It would also make a good detail fueling the conflicts later on with the love triangle that can sort of prevent Laurence from looking like TOO much of a dickhead (him being unaware or misinterpreting situations, and the delicate nature of it making him uncomfortable asking questions, is a compelling reason to see somebody hurting his friends' feelings, and makes him significantly more sympathetic, opening him up for feelings of remorse and guilt).
