I do think this parallel helps contextualize why Claudia's offer is there in the narrative beyond just characterization "she knows this is a loss the boys have experienced, and there is possible room to convince them," or beyond "I doubt they're going to bring Harrow back fully (if at all) so why tease it" and well: I think this parallel is exactly why.

For starters, there's the sheer difference in presentation that help to contrast and compare Callum and Claudia as characters. More importantly for next season, I think, is that it ties together Claudia wanting to save her father is what led to her working with Aaravos in the first place versus Callum wanting to free Rayla's parents likely being something that is just going to put him further on Aaravos' dark path of destiny for him, if not outright lead to disaster. The road to ruin is paved with good intentions, after all - even if he's being selfless about it because it's not even for himself or one of his direct loved ones, but purely by proxy

Multiverse Sans Phone Event Fix

This is not my ghost and I am not offering to do any development work for him. But on several occasions, folks have entered our Discord server looking for help with a bug in one of MVSans's phone events that completely prevents progression. So, I decided to make a little patch for him to make this easier.

This is what the intro to the bugged event looks like:

If you've seen this text and clicking the "Click to continue" option does not work, then this patch will fix it for you.

Download the patch here

To install the patch, follow these steps:

Download the file above, it should be called mv_sans_phone_fix.nar.

Open MVSans.

Check in his settings to ensure that you're on the latest version. This patch was made for v1.4.2 Stable, and may cause other versions to break. (If you're not on the latest version, update or download a new copy of the latest version.)

While MVSans is running, drag and drop the mv_sans_phone_fix.nar onto him. He should appear to be installing something.

When he is done installing, he should appear to reload. He will not say anything about completing the installation, that's normal. The ghost is now patched. (If he does say something, it's likely an error. If so, please report it to me and I can try to help.)

If you had already seen the intro to this bugged event, then please close and reopen the ghost. This should bring up the intro again, and you should be able to proceed.

If you have any problems with this supplement file, please do tell me about it! But it's a pretty small fix, so as long as you use it with the correct version of the ghost, it should be fine.

If you have any other problems with this ghost, you can send an ask to the @ukagakadreamteam blog, or ask in our Discord server. There is also a page for him on our wiki which has some general information about him.

My knowledge of this ghost is very limited, as I haven't used this version very much. So, other people who have used it may be able to help you more.

I love to imagine how Polnareff acts as (mainly) Kakyoin’s and Jotaro’s big brother, and gives them both the best and worst relationship advice for one another, speaking from experience with Avdol of course. Hey @birthday-cake-rockz I saw your tags and thought to I'd illustrate an example of what's usually my very messy process when it comes to doodling weird funky machines to demonstrate that it doesn't have to be. Intimidating, that is. To be honest, we don't have to think about the big and mighty, or how to make a design the best it can be from the very start. It's fine to start out a concept/idea without knowing where the drawing will end up. It's fun to just try drawing random shapes that have no meaning yet, just because!

Because it IS fun. It can be VERY fun. So seriously, at the face of attempted greatness, try doodling something quick, fast, and wholly nonsensical. Absolutely anything. A triangle on top of a square on top of a circle, and add a wiggle on top if you feel like it. And then try to connect those random shapes. It does not matter if it doesn't make sense right away.

Like, the timelapse above? No idea what I was doing until I did it. Is it perfect? Not really, no. But it can lead to other ideas that can be delved into. For example, look around yourself real quick; at the shapes of objects in your room or outside or the ones at work (anywhere can be a goldmine) and copy those down . Then mix those shapes up. Actually I couldn't stop myself so here, have a rushed example for the sake of visual learning.

I had no idea I was going to create an automatized parking lot in the middle of space, but now it's a thing!Just because! It's the bare bones of what could be, but right now, it can just exist as something quick and fun. :)) (Boy, I hope that didn't come off as a know-it-all or...uh..something. listen I know we're rooting for "white hair streak" Callum as a symbol / effect of dark magic, and while I think it's more likely than the alternative, given that it has largely been Claudia (and Ziard's) territory thus far, I think we're underselling the tragic potential of Callum being given the corruptive face instead of a white streak

The facial / bodily corruption physically manifesting has solely been demonstrated through Viren thus far, who is Callum's primary foil (even if he, like many others, also has parallels with Claudia and her dark magic use in particular)

We know that just one spell can warrant the corruption (Viren received his after healing Soren) and require it to be hidden

Seeing the corrupted face of himself was enough for Callum to reject being a dark mage in 2x08, but as we know, neither that nor the threat of Aaravos was enough to make him not do it again in 5x08

Just as Viren's dark magic face informs his duality and how honest he's being with himself and others, if Callum wears his / in the lead up to his immediate second possession, it could show a similar erosion of identity (i.e. that Callum has lost himself physically and mentally due to the possession)

We also know there's a way to heal heavy dark magic corruption other than just Purification given the Mushroom mage's spell with Zubeia. Possible symbolism of Callum being returned to normal / uncorrupted and healed once he breaks free?

Viren's corrupted face, even though he covered it up, is something he links to Lissa ultimately leaving him. Meanwhile, one of S6's inversions will seemingly be Callum likewise going to extremes / following in Viren's footsteps, and Rayla being the opposite of Lissa in refusing to leave
