I worked on the subs for this anime for an Asian streaming service and it was a lot of fun! I feel like this anime was overlooked though. It has beautiful animation and we follow a fun cast of characters living in Okinawa and working in aquariums!

Ooku is an alternate history taking place in Edo period Japan where a plague wipes out a large portion of the male population. This story is insanely well-written, gripping, and nuanced. It's not "lol men get wiped out and we get girl bosses". I can't get over how big-brained Yoshinaga-sensei is for writing this masterpiece. No words I have will do it justice. Just read it!

i was mildly into mk/morpho like a year ago. its cool as a concept and the aesthetics are so good, but ultimately i kinda dropped it because its too similar to my morphogala. thumbs up from me regardless though

this one isnt a rarepair but im listing here purely because of how niche it is regardless: i am So insane about manmaru nikki's (the manga) metadede in particular. i went on a long tangent about this on twitter way back but i dont think i ever mentioned it here. i usually advice WAYYY against making "wow [official artist] seems like they ship x!" claims because its like. disrespectful for a multitude of reasons i feel. but istg it feels like tarou ships metadede. the jp metadede people have caught on too there is a Surprising amount of manmaru mtdd content. i could go on about manmaru mtdd for like five more paragraphs but ill refrain since i dont want to make the rarepair post just about metadede again LOL. if anyones curious on that feel free to shoot another ask though
