I missed you for 29 years

My emotions have been messy for a few weeks, but then I had a breakdown a few days ago and Zoe and Wash were the ones to be there to rescue and comfort me and I remembered that love looks like something and I see it with the way they are towards me all the time. For instance:

Zoe is having ladytime this week, so Wash and I kept each other up late. Having sex with Wash is so adorable, because it's basically lots of moaning and then cuddles and kisses and really sincere compliments. I'm not sure he's entirely human, but I am 100% OK with that.

And Zoe always wakes up obscenely early and fully awake, and wants company, but she also makes me coffee -- and this morning a hot breakfast. Then she fixed an aromatic footbath for me and hand-fed me bacon and snuggled me in the kitchen until I thought I would melt and told me how much she dislikes it when I leave, because I had to come back to my place to fetch something/change clothes.

I'm taking them both to Thanksgiving, as "friends," but it's the best I can manage with my family right now, and we still get to spend it together. --And then I'll cover them in kisses later to make up for it.

Tangible reality

Love is more than what the eye can see. Written deep, carved upon the wood Two become one, on His word they stood. Yet love is more than initials carved upon a tree. Love is what builds the bridge overcoming that choice of infidelity. It isn't a direr need for the latest fad or popular trend It isn't store bought with an expiration date describing the end. Love looks like something, it is alive and ever active Not words throw around in hopes they will become radioactive An explosion of love comes from a place that is unseen From the creator of the universe the one who walked with Adam and Eve Love looks like, feels like, and is like a Mighty King The one who forsook Heaven to become our everything Upon a tree he gave more than His initials to pledge His love He gave His flesh, blood, and body completely separated from above If he gave so freely surely I can take a holy pledge To live life for His glory, take the jump, refuse to live life on a ledge Consumed by his call and refusing to ever live out of fear I will shoulder my cross knowing that He is ever near Love is tangible is something more than words you say It's dying to self, refusing the world, and going after His way

Hannah and I are SO close to our fundraising goal for the Medical Needs fund for Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf! We set out to raise at least $3,000 and we are only $1,300 away! #praisebreak Thanks to everybody who has donated so far! There are some really pressing medical issues at #JCSD right now, and this fund will help pay for doctors visits, surgeries, medicine for all the precious kids who live there. One example is our sweet friend Lorenzo (top left with me). He needs surgery as soon as possible. The public hospital in #MontegoBay turned him away this week because there are no beds, and the private hospital needs payment for the procedure up front before they will do anything. This procedure will correct a life-long problem that has prevented Lorenzo from fully digesting food and has rendered him dangerously malnourished. We can make a HUGE difference with our generosity, our prayers, and spreading he word. If you have already given, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!
