I didn’t have any ideas for a character drawing so I just drew a random landscape with a sunrise. I like when snow is purple from the setting Sun it’s so beautiful

half my dash is like ‘yay cooler temps!!’ and the other half my dash is like ‘oh god the Seasonal Depression’ my siblings on tumblr, the sun being around and the seasonal depression are directly related. when it’s hot out i can Feel my brain photosynthesizing the vitamin d, my chakras aligning, my hormones balancing etc. I am the cat in a sunny grass patch, the lizard on the warming stone. the moment it goes under 75 i bundle my heart against the cold with all the seriousness of a Stark. Winter is Coming is not a phrase said in joy or anger, but grim understanding.

The view from my front yard and bedroom window this morning. I'm always in awe of a snowscape like this; there's something almost otherworldly about it and there's a stillness to it even though I can hear the normal sounds of the day down the street.

It's also a little spooky. See how the trees are bending? This is very heavy, wet snow and it doesn't take much for it to start snapping branches and power lines. So far the lights (and heat) have stayed on and the storm's now moving away, but it'll be awhile longer before we're fully in the clear.
