“Desperate times call for desperate measures”.
LoL, people in glasshouses really shouldn’t throw stones, Amenadiel. Did Lucifer hit you so hard that you totally forgot the deal you made with him in 2011, or are you going senile?

Parallels in Lucifer episode 4, season 1 and 2
Episode 4, S1, is an odd episode as we don't actually have a murder to investigate. Instead we have a young girl gone missing, but other than that, there are still many parallels:
Hugs are scary. Lucifer show us this in S1 when Trixie gives him one and in S2, it's Maze's reaction to Ella's hug that we get.
Chloe is obsessed with her work. In S1, she does everything to find Lindsay and in S2, not even having to find a new place to live stops her from looking for Daria’s and Naomi’s murderer even when she's not supposed to be working.
Maze is fighting in a bar. In S1 with Amenadiel in an empty Lux. In S2, a whole crowd in a full Tiki-bar.
Lucifer interprets what Linda says so it suits his own agenda and spends the rest of the episode pursuing it.
Maze is trying to convince someone to go to Hell. In S1, she wants both Luci and herself to go there after learning that Chloe was able to make him bleed. In S2, it’s mom that she wants to go back and the reason seems to be to protect Luci once again.
In S2, Chloe finally get payback on Dan for making her be Lucifer's "date" to a players event in S1 when she sends him and Lucifer to a sex club. In both cases, Lucifer is the ticket into places they normally couldn't gain access to without flashing a police-badge and that would ruin any chance of learning something useful. Both Chloe and Dan are accused of looking like cops and sticking out because of it.
Luci is doing his best to take care of Chloe's needs. In S1 by making her breakfast and then trying to get her to have sex with him by not only asking her to do so, but also showing her exactly what she'd be getting by showing her the goods, so to speak. When that fails, he still makes sure she's dressed appropriately for doing some undercover work at Lux. In S2, he first make her have some fun and then he tries to find her a new place to live.
Both episodes are really about men trying to hook up with women and people making money on making that happen. In season 1, Carver Cruz is running a seminar, charging 5000 dollars for teaching desperate men how to score. In season 2, we have Yuri paying the same amount for what he believes is a new call-girl.
Taking advantage of young women is a theme. Women that are newly arrived in LA, newbies, from small towns. But these women are not only victims, they are also perpetrators:
Lindsay in S1 has in fact kidnapped herself in an elaborate scheme for revenge on Carver Cruz for something he doesn’t even remember - having sex with her as part of his research for his book.
Lily, sorority sister, friend and neighbor to Daria and Naomi in S2 turns out to be their murderer and even if their death might be seen as accidental, she was still going to sell them to Yuri for 5,000 each, figuring they owed her somehow.
