type experiment 1
the ‘miles’ text is a manipulation of manicotti by david jonathan ross. mainly focusing on the edges to manifest a more fluid, psychedelic atmosphere. then adding effects to further the motif. ‘away’ is nostra stream by lucas descroix, which has not been manipulated.

PROJECT, DESIGN AND APP DEVELOPMENT / Serafim Mendes INSTALLATION CONCEPT, DESIGN AND PRODUCTION / Mecha Studio VIDEO / Tânia Franco MUSIC / Kevin Pires FOOTAGE / Studio LOQ and ESAD Matosinhos post-print.com instagram.com/post.print Post-print is an on-going project which aims to explore the creative possibilities of augmented reality (AR) alongside graphic design. The focus, for now, is poster design and the use of 3D space as a tool for communication. The content is being created over time and will be posted continuously to the instagram page, allowing you to keep track of the progress. ABOUT THE PROJECT How can virtual 3D space help delivering a message? The augmented content layer can add both depth and movement to the design. It also enables the creation of a new information layer, resulting in a more interactive and engaging experience for the viewer. Post-print was initiated in 2017 by Serafim Mendes, in the context of his thesis for the MA in Communication Design at ESAD Matosinhos. Serafim Mendes is both a student and a freelance graphic designer/illustrator based in Porto, Portugal. His focus within graphic design is mostly typography, 3D, poster, editorial, and identity design. POST-PRINT EXHIBITION The first Post-print exhibition was hosted by Mecha Studio, who collaborated in the project with the concept, design and production of the physical installation that showcased the posters. THE APP The Post-print player app is available at both App Store and Play Store. It allows you to experience the augmented designs through your device, at the exhibitions.
