Inde (notes)

Arrivée à Cochin à 7h du matin. La chaleur moite et étouffante nous accueille. Les formalités nous donnent déjà un aperçu de l’Inde. De vieux canapés qui semblent sortis du salon de ta grand-mère, des scanners d’empreintes digitales qui ne fonctionnent pas du tout, une file d’attente immense. Et pourtant personne ne s’énerve. Tout est calme. Welcome to India.

Direction Alleppey, dans les backwaters. Petit à petit, le paysage citadin laisse place aux canaux verdoyants. Nous montons sur un bateau et le départ nous apporte un petit vent fort agréable. Arrêt à dans un village dont je me souviens qu’il s’appelle ‘Kumbapalam’, ou quelque chose comme ça. Les enfants vont à l’école en pirogue, les églises catholiques sont légion, les hommes se lavent dans le canal. Avec l’effervescence du voyage et l’attention vaporeuse d’une nuit passée en avion, je prends enfin conscience que je suis loin de chez moi.

Le soir, nous jetons l’encre au bord d’une rizière. Paysage calme et idyllique. Le lendemain, je savoure les couleurs qui changent et le bruit des animaux qui se réveillent. L’Amazonie doit ressembler à ça.

J’ai toujours su que j’irais en Inde, mais je n’ai jamais provoqué ce voyage. Alors quand on m’a proposé d’accompagner un séjour yoga et découverte du Kerala, je me suis dit que mon rendez-vous avec l’Inde était enfin arrivé. Et le yoga est allé bien au-delà de nos séances sur le tapis. Le yoga, c’est nous avec nous-même, nous avec les autres, le groupe, les indiens, et ceux que nous avons laissés en France. Comment nous nous installons face à une autre culture, face à des inconnus ; comment nous parlons, découvrons ; le yoga, c’est quand l’humilité du petit voyageur que nous sommes laisse toute sa place à l’importance de ce que nous apprenons en chemin. Ecouter les autres, abandonner sa propre vision du monde pour regarder la vie avec les yeux des autres.

Que d’expériences … Shirodhara, ce soin ayurvédique durant lequel un filet d’huile chaude coule sur ton front et le sommet de la tête. Combien de temps cela a-t-il duré ? Une éternité. C’est l’un de mes souvenirs d’abandon les plus forts. En Inde, le sentiment d’abandon à la vie semble une évidence. Tant de discipline et d’abandon à la fois. Il faut respecter les règles, mais arriver 8h en retard ne met personne mal à l’aise, ou en colère. Nous baignons dans l’acceptation de la vie, telle qu’elle se déroule. On comprend que l’Inde soit le berceau du yoga. 

Ici rien n’est grave, mais tout est important.

C’est ce que l’Inde m’a appris. Chaque instant est sacré, chaque manifestation de la vie vaut toute notre attention. Mais quoiqu’il arrive, nous ne contrôlons pas le déroulement des choses. Ainsi va la vie.

With this I only need to update two to three more reference sheets before I can safely finish chapter 1. Might have to go back and update a few of the pages to have some semblance of consistency with some of the more majorly updated designs. But overall we're almost there!!
