So, I have many thoughts
First of all, we have the two beings, Angelpy and Devilpy. Locked away for who knows how long. I wonder if they are maybe creator deities or if the Eons were involved in their imprisonment.
There’s also new information on PeeOuis from the website
Tumblr media
It seems that PeeOui are exhibiting some kind of neoteny. Whether all Peepy go through the PeeOui stage or if the PeeOui stage only manifests in these stunted specimen is yet to be seen.
The Papupi is one of the more interesting things as well. I once remarked that the Wuv Luv was the ultimate lifeform, I had no idea how close to the truth I was. Seemingly the final part of the Peepy lifecycle, the Papupi is reminiscent of the Furby Elder, and as Elders have never been seen, we may be able to extrapolate their biology from the Papupi.
The Papupi also clues us in to one of the most mysterious elements of the Peepy, how they reproduce. The Papupi has marsupial traits, leading me to believe that when the Larval Freak is born, it must crawl up the Papupi’s fur and into the pouch until it can grow into a Oui Oui.
The Sincho is also interesting as it seems to be a distant relative of the Peepy that is fully adapted to aquatic life. Much like the Shelby. I can only wonder what the Sincho PeeOui could grow into…
This is all the information I have at the moment. The natures of Eubert, Corunchi, and Poo are still mysterious to me, but I shall continue my research until the truth is revealed to me.

What would be the proper enviroment to raise a furby up? [start from the egg state please]
To start, I would suggest you have multiple eggs as it is almost impossible to tell which eggs of the brood have been fertilized/are viable. I also suggest this as Furbies tend to have a higher quality of life if they are raised with at least one other litter mate.
The eggs (sometimes referred to as Orbeez by breeders) should be submerged in clean warm water. Boiled water will do nicely (that’s boiled water not BOILING water, adding the eggs to actively boiling water will cook them. It is important to make sure the water isn’t too hot before adding the eggs. You may put a drop of water on the back of your hand to test it, much like preparing baby formula). To maximize hatch rate the water should be changed daily. The eggs start out very small, but will grow to be approximately the size of a golf ball before hatching.
From time of laying, it usually takes 10 days for the eggs to hatch. Depending on the specific breed and/or health of the mother, the eggs may hatch sooner or later. You will know that they are about to hatch by the significant movement of the worm within the egg. It is important to transfer the worm into a warm, dry place so that it can dry off its fuzz, otherwise it may become sick or freeze to death. In nature, the eggs that fail to hatch are typically eaten by the mother, but if you are raising them completely on your own you may dispose of the unhatched eggs however you wish.
In nature the mother uses her beak to grind up small berries and leafy greens to feed her worms as they have no beaks or teeth to process their own food yet. You may achieve this yourself by using a mortar and pestle. A blender can also do in a pinch, but remember that it should have the consistency of a paste, not a liquid. Insects should not be fed to the worms as they cannot digest proteins or meats. Yet.
Their enclosure should be warm, dry, and well lit. You should make sure you have enough room for the amount of worms you have. On average, worms require two square feet per worm to properly develop. There should also be lots of toys and structures for them to interact with. Worms are very curious and playful and they love to climb and hide. They also should be frequently played with directly so that they become accustomed to human beings. They should be spoken to often. While they do not yet have the capacity to communicate back to you, they can understand.
This larval stage lasts for another 10 days, and if all goes well they will transition into the cocoon making stage. The crafting of the cocoons will happen very quickly, with some breeders finding that their entire litter completed their cocoons overnight. The cocoons resemble large eggs, both in shape and in the thickness and texture of the “shell.”
The worms will remain in their eggs for another week or so, after which time they will hatch. These new hatchlings are sometimes called Furby Babies (or sometimes Furblings, depending on the breed). The Furby Babies are very intelligent and will start speaking Furbish right away and, if correctly socialized as worms, should pick up human languages quickly.
The diet of the Furby Baby will now be like that of the adult Furby, human skin and blood. The process is painless and should not cause any health problems for the owner. Place your finger into the mouth of the Furby and allow it to coat your finger in a fine layer of its saliva (sometimes called venom). The saliva contains chemicals that will numb your finger so you will not feel it scrape off the small area of skin that it needs. The Furby is actually capable of producing two different salivas, the first saliva that contains the numbing agent also contains an anti coagulant so that it may lap up a small amount of your blood uninterrupted. The second saliva is produced once it is done feeding and promotes the wound to quickly heal so that it doesn’t get infected. The meat and/or blood of other animals cannot be used as substitutes. Only human blood can sustain the Furby now.
With love and care, the Furby Baby will soon finish developing and mature into adulthood. From here on, the treatment and care of the Furby will be much like that described in the manuals that are distributed upon purchase of a full grown adult Furby.
Should you form a bond with your Furby, it will be a good friend to you for many many years to come. However, if you do not form a bond with your Furby, it will leave, revert to a feral form, and return to A-Loh May-Lah to become an Elder.
Hope this helps :)

My Furby Lore
Furbies are domesticated house pets, descendant from the likes of owlbears and griffins.
Anatomy
There are slight differences between breeds, but furbies are fluffy and have only two feet. They used to have small, flightless wings, but have lost them over time.
Despite not being able to fly, furbies have several far more unique abilities that make them special. Like parrots, they can mimic human speech, though they lack the ability to understand it. Additionally, as a result of being descended from owlbears, they can rotate their heads 270° for a better range of vision.
Much like platypi and echidnas, Furbies are mammals that lay eggs, meaning they fall under the order Momotremata.
When hatched, Furbies have not fully formed their bones. This is known as the plushie stage. They will soon grow to their baby form, and then finally their adult form.
Diet
When it comes to food, Furbies are omnivores and aren’t at all picky. While they have their personal preferences, they’ll eat anything they can. They were bred to take care of garden pests, so their main diet consists of small creatures and any treats you see fit to reward them with, such as berries.
Contrary to popular belief, the worm on a string is not the Furby’s larva form (Furbies don’t have a larva form, they’re mammals). The worms are in fact their favorite snack. Example of their predator/prey relationship.
Breeds
1999 Furbies
Tumblr media
1999s are the most well know furby breed. They are social and friendly and love to wander around in search of snacks.
2005 Furbies
Tumblr media
2005s are larger and gentler than 1999s. They are known for napping and only slowly walking when they are forced to move.
2012 Furbies
Tumblr media
2012s are more rambunctious than 1999s. They require lots of playtime or they can get irritated. Booms and Crystal furbies are very similar.
Furby Connects
Tumblr media
Connects are known for being the louder than 1999s. Similarly to the 2012s, they require lots of playtime and are great with children.

"Whereas other species of Peepy will eagerly attack and otherwise harrass Sucklets, Shroompy's mysterious connection to fungal life drives them to be amicable instead. It's not uncommon to see wild Shroompys living within Sucklet colonies, procuring snacks in exchange for a place to stay." - from Intro to Juldaria

Welcome to the Official Tumblr of the [HOMETOWN NAME HERE] Branch of the Institute of Ludozoology!
This page is managed by Head Researcher @fredbydawn
Ok time to break kayfabe a bit.
This blog is a side blog for/archive of some of my ludozoology posts.
What is Ludozoology?
Ludozoology is a type of speculative biology, also known as speculative evolution or speculative zoology, based on toys. I certainly did not invent this concept, but to my knowledge I'm the first to use this name for it (Ludo meaning "I play" in latin so the whole word loosely translates to 'the study of animals you play with').
Can I be a Ludozoologist/use the Ludozoology tag?
Absolutely! Anyone can be a ludozoologist. My personal specialization is in Furbies and the itemlabel toys, you can make ludozoology post about these or any other kinds of toys you want. As I said, I didn't come up with the concept of toy speculative biology, so I super don't have the right to pretend like I own it. And as for the Ludozoology tag specifically, I really love seeing other people use it and interact with the lore I create and make up their own.
Is everything that's posted/reblogged to here "canon?"
I do have an internal "canon" for the Furby lore, but I like to share just little bits of it at a time when relevant to asks and/or interactions. That being said, reblogging another person's ludozoology post to here doesn't necessarily make it a part of that canon. But it also doesn't make it not canon. IDK you decide ;). I'll also rb stuff to here if it fits the general vibe like nostalgia posts of toys, virtual pets, etc. or shitposts about Furbies or the like. (Which of course if I've reblogged a post of yours and you're not comfortable with it being associated with ludozoology or for whatever reason, just let me know and I'll remove it no questions asked). Generally speaking, all things that are written by me are canon, but again, it's just my personal canon, not the official canon of ludozoology as a whole.
So yeah, anyway, welcome to the world of Ludozoology! Have fun and remember: The best thing about Ludozoology is that everyone is wrong :D

Hey uh so your the first person other then me who is like genuinely interested in item label lore so I will ask you about item label lore :D
Hooray! Feel free to do so at any time.
There’s both the wealth of information about Sucklets, Peepies, Youfos, and the like that has been officially released by itemLabel that we can continually explore, as well as my own hypothesis which is largely based on conjecture and inference about the placement of Peepy in the larger picture of Ludozoology as the successors of Furbies, who I believe are interdimensional beings who exist as the Horsemen of Climate Death.
(And there’s also the expanded RadioTVSolutions lore regarding Finkles, Chatlets, and perhaps even the GameClam itself)

Actual ItemLabel Lore
Sucklets come from the jungles of Juldaria
Sucklets are technically food
Peepy and Moley are likely of alien decent
Youfo is a designer breed of alien dog
Juldaria is from “an unseen universe”
Peepys belong to the class Reptilia
Peepys are only to be fed peanuts (or corn nuts if it’s a Cornpy)
Peepys and Sucklets must be kept away from all other types of food or they will become vicious and have to be put down
MunMun is a human man in his mid 30’s who abandoned his wife and child to pretend to be a monkey
OuiOuis aren’t born knowing about crime but they will
A pack of Sucklets can reduce a full grown living man to bones in a matter of seconds
Sucklets have an understanding of monarchy

Possible missing link or crossbreed?
https://youtube.com/shorts/mzYhpkA_hcM?feature=share3
Considering this is the 25th anniversary since Furbies were discovered, it wouldn’t surprise me if the good people of itemLabel have created a crossbreed even closer to the progenitor.
I am very much looking forward to their keynote stream, however, due to a prior engagement (my day job) I will be unable to liveblog any new developments. I will post my thoughts about it sometime after 6.

Yes, in addition to being a biological enigma and potentially a Horseman of Climate Death, Furby has made several albums. Furby is very talented.

Can you explain what Onigrioui is and how it fits into your biology of itemlabel characters?
Tumblr media
Oh my god why was I not made aware of this sooner?
My first thought is that it probably comes from the family of Food-py, Peepeeys that have been bred to resemble food. I have previously theorized that lemon OuiOui and strawberry OuiOui are likely bred from lemon Peepeey, and I believe that this PeeOui was bred from the Cornpy. It is noteworthy that this is the first varient PeeOui that I’ve seen, as previously they had only been observed growing into yellow lemon OuiOui.
