black in this endless darkness

I am overflown with all these anxious

feelings I can't fight so I'd hide

But in a second, suddenly

you're nowhere to be seen

You're so out of sight....

the light with all her might

I've been saving up money, and have been waiting for Luka's voice bank to go on sale. She finally did, so I bought her V4X voicebank! She should arrive this month. I'm finally gonna have Luka!!!

Lemme take a deep breath for a second BC I gotta rant as both a vocaloid fan and user. It's nearly 4am and I just remembered this exists and I'm mad (still)

What in the world has CFM done with Super Pack? I won't lie, I'm late talking about this but it's been on my mind for a while now and makes me so glad I didn't take advantage of the discount I got to buy the damn thing...

Why are all six voice banks so robotic, muffled and choppy? It's honestly like a major downgrade compared to the V4X, V3, and even V2 voice banks. They all sound like they have a cold and I just wanna tell them all to blow their noses so they can BREATHE

(I didn't mention Miku NT because that's not exactly great... we don't talk about her)

What they did to Luka was just absolutely unforgivable. I wasn't happy with the V4X Japanese voice banks (I cried when the first demo for her dropped) because she didn't sound like "Luka", but SP Luka is just Miku but pink. I'm sorry but she really is. Yes, we're all well aware that Luka's Japanese voice banks have lost their huskiness over the years but what in the world is THIS?

Can we honestly just go back to V2 Luka? Her Japanese was absolutely amazing and she performs very well at lower octaves which no other JPN Luka can seem to do. Yes, she has her faults. When she's being used on the actual Vocaloid 2 editor she can be quite choppy, (although that issue is fixed when you move her onto Piapro) but she was an absolute angel. It's kind of like CFM just wanna make her all cutesy and just eugh... she's never really been that way, the personality they gave her back in the day doesn't suit. High pitched Luka doesn't sound great imo

AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON MEIKO — or should I say Miku No.3. Look, I can be mad, I adore Luka and MEIKO, okay.

Honestly Rin, Len, Miku and KAITO were really the only ones who sort of turned out alright, it's just so frustrating that these vbs were "upgraded" versions of their straight voice banks from V3 and V4X. To be honest with you, they should have just tweaked those voice banks a LITTLE and just used them instead of whatever this is.

But at the end of the day if this is the quality that CFM are putting out then I'm scared for when Miku returns to Vocaloid and we get her AI voice bank...

Thinking about how every other Cryptonloid has their nails painted to match their primary color (Rin and Len have yellow, Kaito has dark blue, Miku has teal, Meiko has red) except for Luka, who does not have pink.

The exact shade varies depending on what design you look at (it's darker for her V4X concept art than her V2) but it tends to be matched to the blue accents in her design. I suspect this choice has to do with leaning into the asymmetry/duality of her design; representing her origins as the first properly bilingual Vocaloid.

However,

I just want to point out that in a number of her designs from various games, her nail polish is suspiciously teal.
