Marinette’s 29 Valentine’s Days

Day Twenty-Nine, February 15: Leap

Marinette groaned as she woke up, shifting and snuggling deeper into her pillow.  She was so tired.  She just wanted to sleep – to silence her alarm, chuck it across the room, and spend the rest of the day snuggled in her bed where it was warm and safe and comfortable.  She didn’t want to wake up and face another Friday, 14 February, Valentine’s Day.  She hated Valentine’s Day and would be perfectly content to never celebrate it ever again.  She was sure Luka would understand.  Given how sick the akuma had unintentionally made him, she was pretty sure he’d agree. He…

Her mental rant – which was just getting more convoluted and intense the more she woke up – was cut short as she became awake enough to realize something.

Her alarm wasn’t what had woken her up.

Day 5 - First Touch

"Hey Luka!" Marinette chimed as Luka accepted the call. "What's up, Marinette?" Luka knew Marinette wouldn't call just for anything, so he was quite concerned about the call. "Well, I lost the paper I wrote your measurements in. When do you think can I come over to write them again?" Luka chuckled. This girl is just so adorable, ain't she? "You don't have to come over," he replied, and Marinette was confused. "What? How am I supposed to measure you then? Can you--" Luka cut her off. "No, no, no. Wait for me. I'm coming over," the boy decided, and ended the call, not hearing Marinette's "Wait, what?" After he hung up on her, Marinette stopped. He's coming over? After a few minutes of realizing what Luka meant, Marinette scurried to make herself look presentable but still home-y, prepared her tools, and even asked her parents for some snacks, telling them she'll be having a visitor. Luka changed into pants quickly, and into his Jagged Stones tank. Since she'll be measuring him, he thought he should wear light. After a few minutes of walking, he reached the Boulangerie, and walked in, asking for Marinette. He was directed to go to the apartment part of the building. As he left, Sabine nudged her husband. "Another visitor he is, right?" Sabine looked funny to her husband. The husband only grumbled as he continued his work. ---- Luka knocked on the door he was told to go to. After a few loud bangs inside, the door opened, and Marinette emerged. "H-hey, Luka," she smiled shyly towards the boy. "Hey Marinette," the boy greeted back coolly. "Shall I come in?" Luka continued. As a response, Marinette fully opened the door. Luka couldn't keep his cool after seeing her in pajamas. "Come to my room," Marinette gestured, walking upstairs. She was bright red after saying the sentence she practiced the whole time before the boy came in. The boy completely lost his cool after those words. After closing the door behind him, he stayed for a few moments before realizing that he'll be measured in her room. He followed shortly after composing himself. "Make yourself at home," Marinette smiled shyly as she went back downstairs again. Luka sat on her chaise, and followed her with his eyes, as she descended back into the living room. Luka's eyes wandered after following the girl. It's been pretty long since the two have met. He's wondered why they haven't met earlier. Apparently, she was a wallflower before they met. But, she was a pretty wallflower. An unreachable one for him. He remembered the pictures of Adrien that were plastered all over the walls from the show Jagged was in. It broke him a little. He expected the show to be a fun different side to Jagged, but it just slapped him in the face with how the reality doesn't favor him. It completely slipped off his thoughts that Adrien's photos weren't posted on her walls right now. Marinette comes back, with a tray of goods, like croissants and cookies, and some juice. "You can eat while I'm getting your measurements," she suggests, and starts digging for her measuring tape. Luka obliges, drinking the juice and munching on cookies as he watched the girl get her tools. "Please stand here. Stand up straight, 'kay?" Marinette instructed, and Luka obeys. Marinette touched places that she's never seen before. Luka felt her warm and soft touch all over his upper body. It was supposed to be harmless, but thoughts filled their heads from the way she touched him to the way she marvelled at his biceps. And before they knew it, their faces heated up, and the rest of the measuring had this kind of aura. Warm. Comfortable. Yet Giddy. And Exciting. It was a mixture of happy energy. And they both loved it, either oblivious or not.

Waahhh! I totally messed up my upload schedule.

But, I’ve always wanted to see Luka wearing a tank top. And possibly some biceps. I mean, look at Viperion! Shoulders, Biceps, and Pecs! Who could compare??

Lukanette September Day 5: First touch

After hours of waiting outside thee delivery room in anticipation, Luka gets to hold his baby for the first time. He's never quite felt the same kind of happiness he did when he could finally hear his child's song.

"You're so beautiful. So much like Marinette. Heh, I should have expected an amazing girl from an amazing mother."

As softly as he could so not to wake the now sleeping baby, he whispered to her, "Your dad's always gonna be there for you, okay, Musika? I promise."

Z: I know it's late, I'm sorry ;_; also i cant draw beards but i tried hahaha.

So anyway, here Luka and Mari are even older than in my last post and they just had their first kid. Aint that sweet? :)

Day 17 - Protection

Marinette accidentally met Luka when she was delivering orders to the bakery. He was out on errands, apparently, and insisted on coming along, since he was finished already. The two walked from house to house, talking to each other, greeting enthusiastically to each house. There were a little bit of "Little Marinette's got herself a boyfriend now!" and "A new delivery boy?", but those weren't anything they couldn't handle. Marinette actually had fun delivering with someone else. She wasn't sure if it was the company that made it better, or because it was Luka, but she knew it was fun. After the last was delivered, the two talked about different things, from their passions to their interests. The conversation was very engaging, but not too spontaneous for little anxious Marinette. Luka really made the conversation lighter. Just a few blocks away from Marinette's, Luka stopped her. The aura between the two changed. Marinette noticed, so, she turned to Luka fully. "What's wrong, Luka?" She asked the boy, tilting her head. Why the sudden change? Luka took out something from his pocket. It was a small pink pouch, with Japanese characters in front of them. "I'm giving you this," Luka stated, offering the pouch. "What's this?" Marinette inquired, as she took the pouch and felt small rocks inside. "A protective charm against negative emotions," he replied, holding her hand which had the charm closed. "I'm worried about you. Me, just hearing your melody, just seeing you, my mood uplifts already. You're my protective charm. But, I'm afraid I can't be that for you, Mari," he looked away. "I don't want you to be under Hawk Moth. Ever. It's not fun. It hurts, actually, thinking I could have hurt you or anyone else that I love just because I lost my cool for a moment. Please, take care, Mari," the boy pleaded, and Marinette can't help but soften. She holds his hands that were on top of hers tightly. "I'll do my best," she replied, taking the charm. "Although, you do make me happy, Luka," she turns back. She can't say these words while looking at his eyes. She definitely will be a mess. "Today, Luka, you kept my boring work somewhat more fun than it ever has. And your company is always so accepting, and comforting, and you're the best, Luka," she stops in her tracks, and looks to the boy. "I hope you know that," she continued. Then, she resumed walking home with hot cheeks. The same warmth crept onto Luka's cheeks, as he followed the girl. That day, Luka knew that he'll do anything for this girl to be safe. That night, Marinette stared at the protective charm, swearing she'll protect this boy from any harm. ---- In this prompt, it really made me think how the two would be protective of each other, and I hope I captured it with this oneshot of sorts hehe

Day 24 - Spring and Winter

No one probably knows the reference, but this is from the one shot manga “Tonari no Yukionna-chan” by Junko Ike.

It’s about a yukionna, or more known as a lady, or a monster, who brings eternal winter to a place, and a boy who came to the same school, who absolutely hates winter. It fits, because the main characters are the yukionna, and Haru (Spring in english). They’re very adorable!!

I recommend this fluffy one shot for a romance junkie, like me!

Day 14 - Cotton Candy

From Ice Cream Date to Amusement Park Date!

I’m really running the date theme, huh?

Anyway! Look at them all dressed up, and cute boyfriend, sneaking holding hands with cute girlfriend, eating her cotton candy, making cute girlfriend flustered by the sudden contact, and the closeness!

They totally went to the Ferris Wheel and kissed as the sun sets!

School starts in two days for me, so maybe I’ll post once a week, but it’s not like anyone’s expecting me to upload, yeah?

Day 12 - Flavor

From bedroom hangouts, to ice cream date at Andre’s! Marinette’s is still peach and mint, while Luka’s, I imagine, is blackberry, blueberry, and strawberry custard sauce. Cool Peachy and Mixed Berries!! Tasty uwu

Also, my bg coloring suuuuucks hehehe I’ll try to make it better with future drawings.

Day 21 - Kwami Swap

My Vipernette design sucks, I’m not too fond of it.

The dots were pretty hard to place, too.

But imagine Tikki and Sass out for a mission, and then, akuma attacks, and they have to get to their owners! Except they reached the other’s owner, but there was no time! They have to go purify this akuma! So, Cat Noir ends up with Vipernette and Misterbeetle “You can use Buginette with his miraculous, but not as my own special nickname for you?! Also, what a rip off for my name with the Ladybug miraculous!”

Day 22 - Sun and Moon

I uhhh I think I got it wrong...

And, thus, I commence AU Week!

The next (and last week) will be art of Lukanette cosplaying couples in different other universes, from manga, anime, games, and webtoons, so I hope you like all that!

For Sun and Moon, I instantly thought about Pokemon, only learning of the ship dynamic of the same name a few days after I drew this (what a shame haha)

Day 13 - Earrings

"Were you alright, Marinette?" Luka stopped himself from hugging the girl. Even so, he can't help but be swept with relief after seeing her emerge from that alleyway. "Luka!" Marinette notices him, as she looked up from her pouch. "Sorry, our hang out was cut short," she apologized, still holding the pouch. "It's fine, Mari. It's not your fault," he smiled at her. Marinette's heart can't help but melt over the gesture. She shook her head, and held the pouch a bit tighter. "To make up for it, wanna eat some--" Marinette stopped as Luka tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. His hand stops right behind her ear. She can feel the warmth from his hand from behind her ear, and somehow, it sent warmth to her cheeks. "You know, your earrings remind me of what happened to me in the akuma attack," Luka stated, bringing Marinette into shock. Luka felt more suspicious. "I remember that I was the one who almost took Ladybug's earrings. It's hard being a mindless servant of an akuma. I wonder, what were you doing in a dead end alley?" Luka prodded more into the topic, as Marinette sweated bullets. Marinette scrambled for excuses in her head, when something unexpected happened. Luka hugged her. "Don't worry. Your secret is safe with me, Ladybug," he whispers, then, he lets go of her, and winks. Marinette heaved a sigh of relief. As Viperion, he's been more useful than Adrien. Maybe he can be trusted. "Were you inviting me to eat macarons?" Luka walked off into the direction of her house. Marinette stared at his back, as he walked a few feet away. He turned, as he realized that she wasn't following. Marinette's heart stops. Maybe he can mend her heart. Marinette walks over and holds his arm, sending a few butterflies in her stomach to go wild. But she likes it. And maybe she has new pictures to post on her walls tonight.

Day 20 - Comfort (Part 2)

Marinette found herself heartbroken, yet again. She really wanted some girl time, but all she got were busy friends, and a small god who would tell her about “life’s surprises”. She needs a change of pace.

It so happens that Luka was buying some snacks at the bakery.

“What’s wrong, Mari?” Luka really knew her heart like the back of his hand. He immediately insisted on her coming over.

They ate some snacks, and then Luka played a song that resonated with her heart. She can’t help but cry.

Luka noticed immediately, and came over to her spot, hugging her, and immediately taking her into his lap to hug her closer. As she cried into his chest, as he sang songs to alleviate her pain. After a few minutes, she fell asleep, and Luka told his mom that Marinette has slept.

To be fair, that was Marinette’s most peaceful sleep yet.

Eeeep!!! Luka would totally be the silent comfort-er, who would just offer tasty snacks, prolly make you into a sad burrito, and then sing you #relatable songs, right?? Prolly will spoil you ‘cus big bro tendencies
