Chose the lyrics above from "When the World's at Stake" from Team Starkid's Trail to Oregon. My headcanon is that she was much too young when she had Alastor and hid her insecurities with a practiced smile. And perhaps being strict on him, wanting him to have a much better life and being the kind of gentleman Alastor's father never was, later regretting it while reflecting in the afterlife (Alastor never blames her for it).

She does learn how to loosen up her defenses in Heaven, smiles became more genuine, and laughing as loud as she wants. Only thing missing is her son, but surely he's just lost in Heaven, Lord knows he has flights of fancy sometimes...

In which on one hand, I think I'm the funniest motherfucker I know this week. I want to see Alastor humbled, who can blame me.

On the other hand, POV you're Adam and you called your son's wife a c#nt for (rightfully) questioning how a crass, godless man ever passed through the golden gates (Alastor got to have his wit from someone).

My take: Lucifer can't know that he has a son, so a seed of jealousy (planted by one of Heaven's elite) took root in Cain's heart against Abel, the golden child. So the story goes, and Cain's punishment was to walk the earth forevermore so he can't go to Hell and run the risk of telling Lucifer about Abel. But would Cain care enough to if he could? Heaven runs on assumptions and paranoia.
