“I am the surf against which the rock crashes” - Gwyn How do you deal with anxiety? I think one of the biggest things I loved about acosf is that it’s the best representation of trauma, mental health, and healing in ya/na fantasy fiction that I’ve ever read. It accurately depicts so much and I can truly relate, not only with my girl Nesta, but with Gwyn and Emerie too. Since I quit my job, I’ve been dealing with horrific anxiety and it’s been SO hard. I use reading as a means to escape and have read way too many books this year bc of it but that’s definitely cheaper than drugs hahaha. Anyway, I guess I just really wanted to say that no matter where you are in your mental health journey, I wish you the best. Whether you’re a Nesta/Gwyn/Emerie at the start of the book or you’ve become a Valkyrie, I am proud of you.
