so I don't know if it's just never confirmed or I missed it but like

Barcus and Wulbren are exes who split on awkward terms, right. like the breakup was messy and Barcus still wants to be friends but Wulbren ended up in a bad crowd while trying to rebound and he's too proud to admit he still cares so he just blusters that Barcus means nothing and they have no relationship and Barcus just accepts it because he desperately wants the man he fell in love with to come back to him

like I'm definitely not just reading that into nothing, right. I just finished Moonrise and Barcus is walking around cursing his heart because Wulbren bruised his by rejecting him so rudely and publicly, and if you tell Wulbren to apologize to Barcus instead of you he gets very flustered and says something like "that is a different matter" but still. lets Barcus stay and they spend all their time together once they get to the city and

I DID IT.

That was a pain in the ass of a fight, mostly bc there were so goddamn many characters involved. Taking high ground made a big difference to funnel the bad guys and also deny a lot of the ranged attacks, but even so, there was only one of us standing to finish the fight. And it took me like an hour. :P

Shadowheart managed to land the killing blow on the last enemy, which was only fair given that Hector and Gale both died bc she got hit by Mind Master and then blew them up with an explody arrow. So that's two more revivify scrolls down the drain. (in retrospect I probably should have waited and had Withers do it but I was a bit stressed :P )

Gale continues to have the weird necrotic aura around him when he dies which makes rezzing him complicated too.

This is fine.

Most of the gnomes survived! And there's a gay gnome couple that's been reunited which is cute. c:

We got Nere's head to take to Sovereign Spaw and a lot of shiny magical items to sort through for the party. Also got the Moonlantern!

Hector looks so tired, lmao. Poor guy.

One of the gnomes mentioned that their leader, Wulbren, is not here - he was sent on to Moonrise Towers. The Absolute cult want a piece of knowledge that's in his head - the formula for "Runepowder," a particularly destructive type of blasting powder, with which the Absolutists (if they can get the formula) could "flatten the whole of the Sword Coast".

This seems bad, and we're going to Moonrise anyway, so we'll keep an eye out for him.
