Lightcannon Week: Day Two ~ MURDER! ~ Detective Jinx in: the Case of the Royal Headache

...I'm SLIGHTLY late, but here we are!

“Murder!”

The vivid pink eye of Jinx, the Loose Cannon, the most dreaded criminal in Piltover and Zaun, flicked hither and thither, reflected to gigantic size through the lens of the magnifying glass.

“Murder,” she declared, “Moist fowl!”

Thunder crackled outside, as if to punctuate her words.

Caitlyn Kiramman pinched the bridge of her nose between her fingertips.

“…most foul,” she muttered, “It’s most foul…”

“…dunno,” Jinx stage-whispered behind her hand, leaning in to Caitlyn's left, “His face does kinda look like wet chicken to me…”

Jarvan the Fourth, recently crowned King of Demacia, lay dead on the parlour floor, a fire poker pushed inconveniently through his brain.

Huddled around the body, eyes filled with trepidation, horror, grief, or morbid curiosity, eight figures held their fitful silence.

Eight luminaries of the nations of Runeterra, invited to Ferros Manor on the outskirts of Piltover for a secretive political summit; Jarvan the fourth, his bodyguard Shyvana, the ostensible host, Camille Ferros, Grand General Jericho Swain, his bodyguard Katarina DuCouteau, Luxanna Crownguard, Cecil B. Heimerdinger, and Caitlyn Kiramman herself.

One remote, stormed-in mansion; one cut-off road. Now seven trapped luminaries…

…one infamous criminal, caught red-handed trying to make off with the Ferros jewels…

And one dead King whose cooling royal blood was making a real mess of a fine Shuriman rug.

Caitlyn released her held breath as quietly as she could.

It was going to be a long, long night.

She looked so different through the lens of the alcohol- something brighter, something more alluring about her- though Draven knew that these were qualities she possessed even when he wasn’t inebriated. She was a rarity- the type of person who was lovely even without the help of alcohol. Draven was used to being bored and unimpressed by others, but even through the din of the bar and the crowd that bustled around them, Draven’s eyes were fixed to her.

He raised his glass again, the liquor so strong that he could smell it before it even touched his lips. It burned in a fantastic way as it went down, and he knew it would be responsible for any and all things he said to Lux on this evening. His head buzzed tremendously, and Draven could swear that there was nowhere he’d rather be in that moment than drinking in this bar with her.

“You’re gorgeous,” he said suddenly, putting his glass down and twirling one finger into his mustache absentmindedly. “But I’mma guess you know that. I mean, I know I’m gorgeous so I can bet that you’re...” he breathed and waved a hand. “Ya’know. Aware of it.”

          Oh, boy. Listen, I won’t say that Ezreal is easy, but… Ezreal isn’t particularly selective when it comes to sex. He’s a lot less picky with sex than romance, that’s for sure. He doesn’t have any specific interests when it comes to appearance (though, of course, it helps to be attractive in general), but it certainly gets his attention if someone’s being coy with him. The chase for Ezreal is almost better than the deed itself, so if someone can string him along a bit, it definitely increases their chances. That being said, he also has a short attention span for everything that isn’t archaeology and adventure, so don’t tease him too much. 

    I feel like I should mention that I’ve written Ezreal for ~5 years now and he’s developed feelings for/slept with such a variety of people … Lux, Yasuo, Caitlyn, Malzahar, Jinx, Draven (yes really), Nami (wtf ezreal), Ahri, Talon … he’s attracted to …. everything idk what to do with this boy. But when it comes to sleeping with him, the easiest thing to do is make it clear to him. He’s pretty dense when it comes to interpersonal things, but he can pick up on that kind of interest pretty quickly. Whether it’s with actions or words, if it’s clear to Ezreal that his partner wants it, they’ll get it. Unsurprisingly, it’s easier to sleep with Ezreal than it is to date him (commitment issues). As long as his partner doesn’t push him for commitment that he’s not ready to give, he’s all theirs.

The Lovers: At what age did your muse first fall in love? 

Sadly, Draven has never been in love. He’s said “I love you”s to people to keep them happy and around him, but he’s never actually felt that way towards anyone.

The Tower: What event would trigger your muse’s breaking point?

The loss of his brother would be entirely devastating for Draven. Additionally, ever losing his fame or falling out of the limelight would be similarly horrible for him. He can’t conceive of a world where he isn’t the center of attention and would function pretty terribly if all eyes weren’t on him.

Surprise! I'm a Star Guardian!! I had a "Treat Yourself" moment a ways back and finally bought myself a costume I've been dying to do since it came out. It feels so refreshing to return back to League cosplays! I got the wig yesterday, so naturally I had to do a speed makeup test! Quinn sighs, eyelids softly closed with trust, as Lux traces her fingers along a ragged scar running from the area of her abdomen above her belly button to where it lies hidden beneath her linen-bound chest. It’s the oldest of her scars beyond some benign pricks and scrapes here and there that have since faded. It’s a memorable scar. Had she been a moment earlier or later, that scar would have been her death. A second earlier, Caleb would have survived in her stead. A second later… the both of them would have perished.

She doesn’t say anything about it – with as much Lux knows of her, she imagines that her friend knows exactly what it’s from, more or less, and it neither aches nor tickles. The mutual touch is more soothing at the moment than harmful.

A soft hum escapes Quinn’s lips as Lux’s fingers lift.
