anyway i have some free time this morning so cracking my way into the netease global app - need to use the emulator but they don't have an emulator block so fingers crossed i can get what i need (glares sideways at the jp devs/square)

but anyway using the emulator means another cotc file lol. got lynette as my starter this time, now speeding her along (and god the contrast when i'm back on the squeenix translation era....it sure wasn't perfect but at least they tried yknow)

eta: unfortunately this app is way more complex than the taiwan one, was hoping it'd be the same :') despite ripping right from the emulator most of the files are missing. bleh. will poke at more another time

Even though Cyrus was second place in Fame, he still got more votes than Lars. And Therion and Viola got such a significant amount of the wealth votes that Odette (power) got more votes than Z'aanta.

CotC Page 1

I finally finished another page! It's my first CotC page, and it's full of my favorite units that I own. Besides Miles and the not-Lynette Ringbearer Chosen options, all these people were or are in my primary party. I would've run Miles since he's from OT1 and I like his outfit, but I started playing during the Oct a Live collab; I was not going to pass up a free 5 star warrior, even if I had no idea who he was. At the time, I wanted to run one person of each class, so Miles couldn't come. I stopped following that rule once I got Tressa EX but desperately wanted to keep Ashlan, my favorite 4 star unit, around. I drew primarily CotC original designs, but you'll find the OT1 travelers I run on the page as well. I didn't draw a large variety of characters, so I'll branch out for my third CotC page. The second one is 3/4 of the way done, so I should post it by next week at the latest!

Me, with a whole drawing board: Here’s how in the Persona au the whole thing with the Original 8 centers around Therion and learning to trust again. Learning that people are genuine in their efforts to be friends with him. The original Octopath stories are a little more disconnected but that goes and hits harder for Therion because it’s him learning that compassion is genuine and giving other’s compassion often leads to good things happening.

The culmination of this leading up to him and the travelers defeating Galdera is prominent here. To have a world ruled because of greed and corruption is stupid and Therion defies Galdera’s hunger for more and learns to lean on his friends to help him out.

Therion is learning to trust again after Darius, whereas Hikari is learning to let go of the past and move forward.

Me, going to the other side of the drawing board: The Champions of the Continent thing is going to be a part 1.5 concerning the connections between the first and second Persona gang. This is where the Travelers there (Which will be all eight of the 5 stars you get of the beginning of the game) will already know about Personas and Shadows.

Already it’s established that they know about Personas which will make them traveling across the Continent make more sense as they probably are trying to figure out the sudden pop ups in Shadow Activity. Persona 5 Strikers type of thing where they all are traveling in a car and trying their best.

The Gacha Characters in the Champions of the Continent Game could be just the people that the Travelers meet and who help them out.

The reason why the COTC Travelers are dealing with this and not the Original 8 is due to how the Original 8 is dealing with Vide. Things are bad during part 1.5 and it is noticeable.

Millard, Sophia, Gilderoy, Fiore, Lynette, Theo, Viola, and Scarecrow are going through it and have the same problem as Temenos did in the current Persona au timeline. Which is that they are trying to contact the Shadow Operatives for backup and they aren’t getting any. There is an understandable reason for this with Vide and all that but the 8 are understandably frustrated by the lack of contact. Guess they have to fight Pardis on their own then. Fuck.

Me, going to the middle of the board: This THEN leads to Hikari’s events before the canon Persona au happens. So much has happened and it is. Incredibly unfortunate that Kura didn’t contact the Shadow Operatives about Hikari before she died or that Hikari met any other Shadow Operative members. If he had it is likely that he would have had a better understanding of his Curse and not stress out so much about it when he first unlocked his Persona.

Cant phrase it better than "Therion is learning to trust again after Darius, whereas Hikari is learning to let go of the past and move forward"- it'd be so sick to see them meet up in storyline eventually despite their disconnection. Whether that's in spirit or not or Cyrus just happens to catch eyes with a fishy dude on the street who brokered a deal to give Hikari a cool sword to use in the Metaverse.

The main 8 centering around Vide makes sense where their focuses lie. They have a background role and are fighting their own deities. If only the Shadow Ops new about the poor guy struggling with a curse here but Kazan was the only one who was that close to him beforehand who would've made any sort of move as he found out..

Man I rly genuinely wish I could play CotC. The soundtrack is filled with absolute bangers amd the story seems genuinely interesting. But alas. It is a mobile gatcha game. And my brain cannot focus on mobile gatcha games to save my life even if the subject is my literal hyperfixation apparently? Like I've tried and it doesn't work lol

Creating tenuous parallels between the CotC villains and the starting 5* characters because I can. Contains major spoilers for BoA’s final boss

Herminia - Scarecrow: loss of family/loved ones Tytos - Fiore: loss of job position by one with power over them Auguste - Viola: betrayal from a trusted one followed by them taking revenge Pardis - Sofia: stubbornness in being alone and not relying on others Oskha - Gilderoy: watching (semi-)good men fall to those who seize power violently Tatloch - Lynette: learning what it means to work for a group’s happiness, instead of only focusing on one’s own goals. I guess. Presuming Tatloch gets a character arc. Ceraphina - Theo: family member's good name was slandered by those who used it for their own gain Sazantos - Millard: a deepseated belief that people are good and in need of help???? I haven’t actually seen BoA’s storyline, I just know the final boss.

Project Path Action did a Set 2 of the Weekly Prompts (and will be doing a Set 3 as well), so here were my finished drawings!

I participated in all except for Week 4. I was a bit busy to participate, but at least it saves me an option to have when I participate in Set 3's Week 4.

The CotC Post that No One Asked For

I'm working on getting good photos of my notebook, and I really want to talk about CotC, so here we are. I finished Master of All chapter 8 yesterday! I'm excited to get to the bestower chapters and travel to the other towns in the game. I've been working on the Emberflame story as well, although my keeper names are not very good. I got my luckiest guide 10 yesterday since starting the game, with 5 star Lynette, Kouren, and Cardona. Kouren and Cardona are new while Lynette is my ringbearer chosen, so Lynette U10, here I come! I just need more gold wisdom orbs. I'll hopefully post some art tonight.
