….kinda having a lonely, nostalgic moment and as a person who has been in the octopath fandom since 2019 and an active content creator for it since 2021 I just want to say that I miss when the fandom was active. I miss when there was daily content on the octopath tumblr and twitter tag and fics on ao3, I miss when so many talented artists and writers created art and stories for it and that content got the attention it deserved, I miss when art would get 1k+ notes on tumblr and fics would get 100+ kudos on ao3 and I miss when content creators would do collabs and zines and create together for it and I miss so many creators who left the fandom.

So if you’re reading this it probably means you’re here for my octopath content as well and to you and all the other people and content creators seeing this, thank you so much for keeping this little treasure of a fandom alive :)

The event runs from May 29th - June 5th, and I would ask that you don’t post pieces until the week of the event, as I might miss them if they’re posted earlier! 

The prompts were selected by a popularity poll, and I have tried to mix them up so that the most popular prompts for Bravely and general do not fall on the same day! In the event of a tie, a random number picker was used.

Guidelines:

Drawing, writing, and other types of media (cosplay, 3D etc.) welcome! (No AI-generated submissions)

You may include as many characters as you like from any of the mainline Bravely titles (Bravely Default/Second/Default II), and any of the mobile spin-offs. Please keep your submissions Bravely related.

No character limit/reservations necessary - everybody can use Ringabel if everybody wants to use Ringabel

Interpret the prompts however you want, and feel free to ask/discuss if you would like clarification

No NSFW submissions will be shared to this account

You may fill out as many or as few prompts as you wish

Bravely spoilers are fine, but if you use another franchise for any prompts (e.g. for the asterisk prompt, drawing the cast of Octopath Traveler with asterisks), please tag all spoilers for other media you use! (Harmful media will not be accepted)

The 'collab' prompt specified artists collaborating with writers in the polls, but feel free to mix it up if you'd prefer, as long as submissions include two or more creators!

I finished the Live A Live collab at Octopath CotC yesterday and I'm so full of feelings... T^T;;;; The way Oersted fought so hard to save Streibough from Odio... Streibough telling Oersted how sorry he is, the alternative route of Strei overcoming Odio and admitting he never hated Oersted and and and Althea's wish? Let grief and hatred go through your fingers like sand, let go and come back... Arghhhh my poor heart...!! This collab was everything!! I loved the open ending! I want to believe Althea brought a timeline where Oersted remembers the events and doesn't let Odio take over neither him nor Strei (also gives his friend a hug, relieved to see him alive and well (Pogo would be proud!) and if you say this stupid you can come and fight me but I already died on that hill and you can't kill me in a way that matters.

hiiiiii! i was WONDERING if that was you (on ao3). i got AE for the octopath collab and the writing was so good (+ i picked ciel as the free 4.5 and his Explicit Queer Stuff hooked me) i wanted to play it more :] then i took a bit of a break but randomly decided i could start the quest that was outside palsifal for the chronos stones and........ clarte................................ wow..... definitely one of my favs too<3. bounces around

Thank you for reminding me JUST HOW MUCH I ADORE LIVE A LIVE! The game is so freaking good!

YOOOO I love it so much too! I decided to play it because of an upcoming collab in the EN version of Octopath CotC (the mobile game) and I had heard really good things about it. I love stories that subvert expectations in interesting ways and Live A Live did not disappoint…

I’m also amazed about the influence that this game had despite the fact that not many people talk about it. It arguably inspired the Octopath series with its basic premise, and I recently found out that two songs from Undertale (including Megalovania) are named after songs from Live A Live as well?

I also heard rumors that a sequel is in the works now that the remake is out, and a lot of JP players for Octopath CotC are expecting a new Live A Live collab next week (we’ll see). But yeah, it’s really awesome seeing this game get the recognition it deserves! I reeeally hope it does get a sequel because it feels like they’ve only scratched the surface of what they can do with its formula.

Finally finished the BD x COTC main story. Frankly, it was quite shit. I love BD (not BD2), but more of a thing I like is only pleasant when it's competently made. The final boss is still, years after release, an unbalanced piece of shit. Some of the worst battle content in Octopath. Massive shame.

Beforehand, I finished part 1 of LaL's collab storyline. Took about 3 to 4 hours, though I did every hunt as they unlocked. Beyond the usual collab storyline nonsense, this was fine. Battle content was largely at the right difficulty and pacing for every level. The mini-boss in the final dungeon for part 1 is the only exception (Just has too much HP; Gimmick is fun though). Really makes me want COTC to be an actual game and not an app, though. Some real creative shit in here that's going to fucking rot.

Anyway I used Tahir again for a hunt. Look at my boy !!!
