ICE CREAM

Hello! So I’m finally in my working condition (lol) and I slowly go through all the things I need to draw. Today I will post some of the requests I’ve received on my Buy Me a Coffee account (which is not existing anymore unfortunately). That was looooong ago! But I’m happy I’m finally doing it haha ;)

So the first one was requested by my lovely @alwayseverlark :

katniss eating an icecream (and if possible with a toast baby having one also and/or Peeta)

I wanted to draw middle aged Katniss for a while and this request was perfect for that. I think dancing girl is 10 years old here and Katniss is around 45 I suppose? 🤔 I think they just bought an ice cream after school and spent some good mom-and-daughter time together while Peeta and boy with the blonde curls were enjoying themselves in the bakery ♥️

Can we get some head canons for toast baby boy? I always feel bad for him, I feel like he gets slightly over looked in the fandom cos he's not the significant first born 😅

oh no we absolutely love toastbaby boy around here 🥺 maybe you feel that way because a lot of the focus is on their firstborn as it’s really the first sign that katniss has grown and healed and finally feels safe enough to start a family after all she’s been through. and yes i’ll admit i do have a soft spot for little katniss and her daughter with her dark hair and olive skin and papa’s eyes, but i also adore their son with his fathers hair and seam gray eyes.

first off, i always headcanon that their son is a bit of a wildcard when he’s very young. not in a bad way, just a very loud and playful little ball of energy 💀 like the type of kid that you hear before you see, and one that keeps his parents and sister laughing all of the time. he calms down with age, but the family fondly look back on the days where this little blond whirlwind used to just tear the house up and pester haymitch and try to paint the walls with daddy’s paints (using the cats tail as a paintbrush, no less.). he’s very sunshine-y, and has a tendency to cheer people up, especially his mama and papa on the days they’re feeling down.

and another thing i love to headcanon about their son is that he inherits some of his mamas traits. now he’s absolutely tone deaf (this doesn’t stop him from belting out songs loudly on sunday mornings to wake up his poor papa for soccer practice), but in the sense that animals and stuff all seem to follow him and be around him (think katniss with the lynx). they first notice it when he’s just a little tot and has somehow weaselled his way into haymitch’s geese pen, and his sick with worry parents find him being followed by a little line of the animals while he roars with laughter and tries to get them to give up the chase with his chunky little arms (at first they’re like. huh. but then he is swiftly yanked from the enclosure and taken for a bath.). also i think he’d have katniss’ sarcasm and sometimes snark, as well as her stubbornness (which i think both of their children inherit and it has peeta like “😒 you’ve created two stubborn little monsters, everdeen” while she’s like lmao deal with it.)

i think like his sister he’d have a very good relationship with his parents. they just seem like they’d be such a close and loving family, and their children would feel like they could go to their ma and pa for everything and anything, even well into their adolescence and adulthood.

and he just absolutely adores his big sister. katniss tells us in the epilogue that even as a wee toddler he tries to keep up with her while she dances and plays. i think they’d both be fiercely protective of each other, but also have a fair amount of playful fighting and classic sibling teasing between them especially when they’re in their teen years.

i think he’d want to take on the family bakery as a job when he grew up. even though he is smart and intelligent, school was just never really his thing (a whole lot of energy doesn’t mix very well with structured learning a lot of the time 💀) and also he’s just happy to be able to help out his papa as he gets old and take on some of the ‘burden’ from him. plus, baking is something he grew up doing and he loves it.

aaaand last but not least he’s a total mama’s boy. from the day and hour he’s born he just loves his mama, and even when he’s small he insists on going to the woods with her and learning about the outdoors and just spending time there with her. he particularly loves her stories, about her father and her childhood, but when she starts to get sad when telling them he’s the first one to wrap his little arms around her neck and squeeze her tight. peeta isn’t even a little bit put out, because he loves the relationship both of his children have with their mother as it is so different to his childhood.

Today I post sketches I did for my Pearl tier patrons ;) And here is the sweetest request by my patron Nitya: Katniss teaches her kids archery ❤️ I think the dancing girl was at school and joined them right after she got home because she was super excited and a little impatient haha. And the boy with blond curls is just having fun ❤️ okay, now we can say “AWWWWWW” together lol

What do you think Finnick and Annie's kid will look like when he's older, like around 11/12?

Hey. I picture the boy to be smart, hardworking and not very talkative. Cute but not hauntingly beautiful like his father was. Caring, quiet. And I’m sorry, I don’t have a picture of him around 11/12, but I have him with dancing girl, so I suppose he is around 19 years old here :)

READ AND SKETCH #10: I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU’RE MINE BY JHSGF82

Sometimes I just HAVE TO to draw the scene from a fic. HAVE TO and NEED TO. For example this one. I’ve read this sweetest drabble yesterday before I went to bed and I woke up with “need to draw it immediately” thought. Absolutely amazing little story by @jhsgf82 and my take on daddy!peeta. Drawn in soft watercolor technique because I felt like it.
