A self portrait of me on a lyra hoop that I've wanted for YEARS. Now I have one! so I can soon make this dream a reality! I've been getting used to it, conditioning my bod to get used to the pain that goes with it. My arms have never been so sore!!!!
I can now do beats and pull up to sit back in the hoop easily! This used to be really difficult for me but now with more arm strength it's achievable and not as scary 😆
AAAAAAH WE DID THE LYRA TONIGHT AND I THINK I ACTUALLY DID KIND OF GOOD! I like was able to hang completely upside-down with my hands AND A FOOT dangling on either side of the thing and I was just balancing on my back with one foot braced against the rope and it felt good? Like almost comfortable?
I was full-on upside-down and I didn't freak out and I filmed myself and if you ignored the part where it took me three tries to get into the hoop I looked like I was actually doing a thing and I need to yell this at every person I know I'm so excited this is like the first time since I started this aerials class when I felt like I was getting it!!!
Man, I did not expect the lyra to be the thing I liked best so far. It has definitely given me the most bruises, but there is also something incredibly satisfying about sitting balanced on your little perch high above everyone else and knowing that you can do a cool flip whenever you want.
Look at Lucifer on his Lyra I'm obsessed I'm loving this so much I need mooooore <3
Also still need to finish the alt version of this, this is supposed to be yet again another cringe ship art, but made sure that it could be cropped like this so you all could appreciate as much as I do since you guys are not here for Aika but for our short King <3
First hoop class back after our showcase performance and I found a lot of stuff I used to struggle with 6 months ago is a lot easier now 💪 Felt good being able to do this with ease for the first time, so thrilled! ☺️
