I just realised that when Azz was trying to break through Kiriwo's barrier in Chapter 303 and said "even Amaryllis can't break through" he wasn't referring to his mother but his power that he named after her-

Those blue flames during the Heartbreaker arc- he named them after his mom and this is so fucking adorable because despite his distaste for her overly affectionate smothering behaviours and other typical cringey mom things he really does love her and it's just so sweet

This whole time I thought he was referring to his actual mother as in Amu-chan but then realised he'd probably be referring to her as "mother" in his thoughts rather than her first name cus the latter would be just disrespectful and he's a big manners guy, and plus she's definitely rank 9 and probably could at least temporarily break through, considering Kalego could.

The parallels between Friends and Enemies

This manga often talks about different types of love and friendship, so seeing it go into the enemy dynamic is very interesting.

Iruma has been allowing himself to be more selfish lately and it really shows with his desire towards Kirio, whom he still considers a friend despite everything. That on itself is selfish but the fact that he wants him back to his side is even more so.

Is it a bad thing that he's being selfish? Well... Who's to say?

They both have the same wish, though in opposite directions. Iruma's perception of Kirio is different to that of the abnormal class— whom he wants to reveal his identity to by himself, but with Kirio the concern didn't fall on the fact that he had been unable to tell his "friend" Kirio about this himself but on the fact that he was going to break the news to Azz on terms that weren't the ones Iruma had resolved to.

And while Kirio cares about Iruma, it's not in a wholesome way, he has mentioned they're fated enemies, if it feels like he cares for even a second it's because you're messing with his Fate. Kirio doesn't like when Iruma is put in danger and he isn't the cause or isn't there to enjoy his reaction, directly contrary to Clara and Azz because Kirio's dynamic with Iruma is never that of a friend once you're past the Battler arc.

I don't think they should be friends but I wish best of luck to Iruma because I don't want Kirio to win

I understand that Iruma's worried what his friends will think of him if they find out he's actually a human, but honesty? Azz would probably just think he's that much more amazing for accomplishing as much as he has as a human. Clara would be surprised sure, but in the end, he's still the first person who asked to play with her and accepted her as she was. Iruma is still their friend and showed them what it even means to have friends. I think that would matter to them a lot more than what he is.
