A random headcanon: adhd and ocd she told me so herself. she didn’t get diagnosed until after she went through terrigenesis because andrew had to do a psych eval on her. she’s hypersensitive to noise because of her powers, but noise-cancelling headphones don’t help because the way they function actually increases the vibrations she’ll feel, which just overwhelms her further (i have an entire fic idea about this i’ll get around to it one day i swear). she also has a phobia of needles after the amount of medical trauma she’s endured and bc of the amount of times she’s had her blood drawn against her will

okay, so ive recently finished a really long angst fic and want to keep writing, but i definitley need something happier, since my own list of prompts is only filled with more angst at the moment.

basically, im open to maybe trying to write some fluff prompts if you guys have anything you want to see.

The way Mack trusts her so implicitly to get the job done when she deadass says she’s going to infiltrate a based filled with thousands of Chronicoms ALONE.

The way Mack called Sousa from running off half-cocked to save his boo cuz Mack knew she didn’t need saving and they had a job to do.

The way Mack was so afraid at the idea of Daisy potentially sacrificing herself to stop Nathaniel but he still trusted her to do what needed to be done and left her down there without trying to interfere.

The kind way Mack treated Kora even after all her fuckshit because that’s Daisy’s sister.

The way Daisy looks at Mack each time before she runs off to do her duty.

The way Daisy asks after Mack’s new digs, one year on, wanting to keep up with his life.

The way Mack insisted that the family not completely lose touch after all they went through while looking at Daisy with meaning in his eyes because he knows that’s her greatest fear.

The way Mack and Daisy looked at each other in that final moment before he left the Framework Zoom call and he urges her to stay safe up in space.

Literally the BEST episode this season,,, I didn’t really feel the connection between characters that we are used to feel and see before this season. The plot is amazing but it just felt...lacking the relationships. We got it today and I’m happy but sad

Hullo, love! And I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to get to this - work has been getting crazy again, and, um, yeah, I may or may not be the worst at forgetting I have things in my inbox. Anywayyyy. Happy (very belated) trick or treat!!

So, angsty Staticquake WIPs. HmmmmmMMMMMMM. I’m more of a fluff and romance person, usually, and ESPECIALLY for my OTP - but as a matter of fact, I do have a couple of really angsty Staticquake fic ideas. Which one is the angstiest, though... hmmm.... *tries to think of WIPs* askfjadslfjdslf, you’re so right, I’m forking insane. WHY DO I HAVE THIS MANY WIPS 😭😭😭😭🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Okay, so, to do a quick rundown of angsty Staticquake ideas I have... there’s always my heart will go on, which is a Titanic AU, and if that doesn’t qualify as angsty, I don’t know what does. Oof, and then there’s the Bittersweet What-If Fic - but that’s not pure angst, so I’m not sure if it counts. (It’s a Daisy-dreams-of-the-life-she-could-have-had-if-she-said-yes-to-AIDA-in-the-Framework fic, btw, in case you were wondering.) Hmm... and then, oh, gosh, we have the Grieving Fic. Now THAT’s pure angst. To give you an idea - the title I tentatively came up with for it in the doc is on my own, pretending he’s beside me (all alone, I walk with him till morning.) So. Fun stuff. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Then, yeah, there’s the Angsty Post-Hive Pregnancy one, but you said no to that... oh. Oh, oh, oh. aklfdjsjflkdsfjd. I know what I’ll be telling you about today!

Presenting... the Angsty Post-Hive Recovery Fic. 

The story behind this one is: I watched the last three episodes of season 3 all in one night early in lockdown, and needless to say, my brain didn’t sleep much for the rest of the night. I came up with no less than five different Lincoln Lives AU ideas, and a lot of general sobbing, and also this piece of, if I do say so myself, positively shattering introspection.

See, it struck me that night that we missed some really good scenes, both emotionally and shipping-wise, because Lincoln didn’t go to comfort Daisy in 3x20/3x21. Think about it. More than anyone else on the team, Lincoln knows what Daisy was going through - addiction, withdrawal. We also know for a fact that he’s really good at comforting Daisy and helping her see that she’s going to be okay.

Once I started thinking about it, I just couldn’t stop. How powerful and emotional wouldn’t it be if Lincoln went to Daisy and comforted her, and helped her through the Hive withdrawal? And, look, I love the Mackdaisy partnership as much as anyone, but I really think Lincoln should have gone to Daisy instead. It just would have been so powerful!

So that’s what I decided to try to write that night - and, hot damn, I must have been feeling incredibly torn up by that finale, because this is the kind of thing that’s currently sitting in my GDoc:

She walked slowly, blankly, not really taking anything in, until she felt the achingly familiar vibrational stirs of Coulson, Lincoln, Fitz, Jemma and Mack. Daisy stared hauntedly at them, overcome with the conflicting urges to rush in and hug each of them as tightly as she could, and to run away in the opposite direction as fast as she could and curl up in a corner where she couldn’t hurt a single one of them again. 

And -

“Welcome back, Agent Johnson,” Coulson said, and the familiar words in his familiar soft voice made her want to sink to the floor, sobbing. She looked at him, trying to blink away the awful emptiness in her gaze, and tried to coax words to her tongue. To thank him. To greet him. To tell him she didn’t deserve the kind look in his eyes. 

Post-Hived Daisy's mindset is... incredibly painful to write and, gosh, even just to think about!! She was just so utterly shattered -

She had expected some kind  of retribution from them. Some kind of reprimand, or a cold glance at the very least. After what she had done to them, she deserved it. She deserved to be locked up, never to see any of them again.

Couldn’t they see it? 

I think it’s reasonably safe to say that Hive was her biggest trauma of the show - and, in true AoS style, we never really got to see her recover from it. I mean, yeah, we got some, and a lot more than we did for certain other things that I will not be naming right now unless you want me to go onto a full-on rant. But the point is: we didn’t get enough healing. Not even close. Hive was an addiction, dammit, and recovering from something like that takes incredible amounts of time.

Which is why I just think that if Lincoln had lived, if he had been able to be there for her, it would have been so powerful and impactful. It would have meant so much. 

... But, naturally, we never got that.

And my mindset that night was a rather tearful “fuck canon,” so I figured... you know what, if AoS won’t give it to us, I will. I was on a roll that night, lol.

So, love, I hope that was angsty enough for you!! If it wasn’t, well, then... I don’t know what to say to you. Except maybe give you more snippets. Maybe. If you ask me really nicely 🤣

Oh, and, ahahahaha, in case anyone was wondering: I just checked the dates on this thing, and it says Last modified: 01 Apr 2020, 01:52. So... yeah. Sleep was really not the priority that night.
