Owned Restaurant Profit Increase
Tumblr media
Two versions to download:
-Double profit: SFS / GD
-Triple profit: SFS / GD
Choose only one version!
We all know how hard it is to maintain a restaurant business in The Sims 2, right? You barely make any money and, if you have some employees to get paid hourly, there's a good chance you'll even end up losing money. Well, once again I've been digging through the files for a while until I've found something to fix this issue. I have to say, this is not the ideal solution at all, but it still makes the business actually profitable, so I thought it might be worth sharing anyways. This tiny mod edits just one single BCON value, and it's super easy to tune to your liking! A lot of technical details, a tutorial on how to tune it, and a big testing research under the cut (bear with me please, I promise it's worth reading).
So the way an unmodded game moves money in a restaurant business goes like this: the moment your waiter puts the dish on the customer table, you get a small percentage of the price of the food deducted. Then, once the customer finishes eating, they pay you the full price of that food (based on how expensive or cheap you set your business). Simple enough, right? Ideally, the best solution would be increasing the price of the food, but no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't find those values anywhere. So what's left on the equation? Yup, that small percentage you get deducted first. I was lucky enough to find that one, so changing it to a negative value means you actually get extra paid first. And that money comes from nowhere, the customer doesn't pay extra, they only pay the price of the actual food. That works for me!
As a quick example, in a new business with 0 stars, if you keep the default price on average, you always gain 28 simoleons for serving a bowl of Mac N Cheese. However, you also get deducted 4 simoleons first, so it's actually 24 simoleons per customer. That's just sad. The Double version of my mod makes it so you get 22 simoleons first, and then the customer pays those 28 simoleons. That's a total of 50 simoleons per customer. More than double the profit, not bad! The Triple version gives you a total of 71, pretty self explanatory. The numbers don’t match exactly with double or triple profits, but I didn’t want to spend that much time finding the exact value to make it exactly double or triple, you know, especially considering there might be other factors that affect your business income. I’m not that good at maths to be honest... orz
So how do you tune this? All you need is SimPe. Open the package, click on the BCON file and edit line number 14, on the Dec box. The default Maxis value was 20. I changed it to -100 to get roughly double the profit, and -200 to get triple profit. If you want to increase the profit even more, make sure you keep it negative when changing the value! Then just click Commit and Save. Done!
Tumblr media
One extra note before I continue. The extra money you get with the mod does count for the balance you see on the UI menu for the business on the top right. So if you like to keep track of your income, the mod will take effect on those bars. However, it won’t count for things like the First Simoleon prize thingy. So for now I’m not really sure if this extra money would count for other things such as Lifetime Wants related to gaining money. I haven’t tested it that much.
Okay, now you know almost everything you need to know about this mod. If you want to read some ramblings on how I tested this, keep reading. Otherwise, you’re good to go!
So, let’s talk testing, because that’s something I actually enjoy doing. I built a simple restaurant lot, with about 5 tables available. The conditions were:
-3 Sims from my household to work as host, waiter and chef. No external employees, so I don’t need to keep track of extra salaries to pay.
-Schedule is roughly 15:00 - 22:00.
-New business level 0. Prices were kept at the default average.
-I didn’t use the Basic Sell interaction. If the customer didn’t want to eat at my restaurant, then so be it.
-The chef had 10 points of cooking skill, so I could add any food to the menu. However, I only chose one food to cook to keep the profit numbers as consistent as possible.
For the first case, I chose cooking only Mac N Cheese, a very cheap food that makes almost no money at all. It doesn’t require any cooking skill points. Mac N Cheese gives you 28 simoleons when the Sim pays. -In an unmodded game, you also lose 4 simoleons, so it’s 24 simoleons per customer. After running the business for the set schedule, I got 240 simoleons of profit. Pretty disappointing! If I had employees to pay, I would only have a few simoleons to spare, if any at all. -With my Double version of the mod, you get an extra 22 simoleons, making a total of 50 simoleons per customer. After running the business with the mod in, I got 400 simoleons. Not much, but hey, it’s something.
For the second case, I chose Filet Mignon. This food is pretty fancy, and it requires max cooking skill. Filet Mignon gives you 83 simoleons when the Sim pays. I also noticed the customers take way less time to eat it compared to the Mac N Cheese, so that’s an extra bonus to make the business run faster. -In an unmodded game, you also lose 13, so it’s 70 simoleons per customer. After running the business, I got 630 simoleons of profit. Not bad, but considering you need to max out the cooking skill, it’s almost insulting spending so many hours just to get that… -With my Double version of the mod, you get an extra 65 simoleons, making a total of 148 (!) simoleons per customer. After running the business with the mod in, I got 1036 simoleons. Okay, nooow we’re talking! That's the fancy restaurant status I like to see.
You might be wondering why these numbers are so inconsistent. Well, sometimes my lovely waiter decided to drop the tray on the customers, poor guy. That added to the randomness of how customers decide to enter the restaurant or not, and if the game sits more than one customer on the table or just one of them, if someone gets stuck for a while losing time… all of that can end up making the results a bit inconsistent. That being said, I had better luck when I was running the business without the mod in, yet I still got quite a lot more money with the mod in. I didn’t keep track of the numbers for the Triple version, but as you can probably guess, that one would be even more profitable.
One last case I wanted to test and compare: a completely different type of business, a games and entertainment one using the Bandatron ticket machine. In that scenario, I got 21 simoleons per customer, each hour. So after that schedule of 15:00 - 22:00, I got a total of 789 simoleons! All my sim did during those hours was bartending. That shows how easy it is to run a business with a ticket machine, and the biggest advantage is that you don’t have to pay employees if you don’t need them, and you don’t need any skills at all. Just plop down that machine, put some objects, relax and let the money flow by itself.
So yeah, in conclusion, Eaxis really messed up programming the restaurant businesses, there’s no doubt about it. Hopefully my mod helps balance things out. And if you think it's still too low on the incomes department, you can always tune it to your liking! As far as I know, this should not conflict with anything, but if you run into any issues, let me know and I’ll try my best to fix it asap.
Special thanks to EddySims for their fantastic HQ Icon Pack I used to make the preview pic! <3

When Kara lands on Lena’s balcony at L-Corp, she’s here on a mission.
“Miss Luthor.”
Lena whirls around at her desk, clearly surprised by the visit.
“Supergirl. I wasn’t expecting you. Is there a problem?”
Kara stalks into her office, hands on her hips.
“Yes, I mean, no, not a problem, per se.”
“But?” Lena prompts, picking up on Kara’s frantic energy.
“I was meeting with the mayor this morning,” Kara starts, thinking back to being summoned by city officials to talk about the damage to some waterfront buildings that happened in the wake of Kara fighting off the latest rogue alien who attacked the city.
“Oh. Well, that’s unpleasant,” Lena quips. “He’s a useless sack of flesh in ill-fitting suits, at least as far as I’m concerned.”
“Um, I mean. Yes. But, that’s not why I’m here.”
Lena sits back down at her desk and motions for Kara to take one of the chairs across from her and waits for her to get to the point.
“Right, so, he said that you paid for the damage to the two office buildings by the pier.”
A small smile settles on Lena’s face. “I did.”
The confirmation makes Kara feel jittery. Why would Lena do that? It’s not like she was involved in the fight. It’s not her responsibility!
“Why?”
“Why did I pay for it? Because I can, Supergirl. My family has more money than they know what to do with. I figured it’s only fair to use some of it for good.”
Kara huffs. She doesn’t quite know how to argue with that, but it still feels wrong for Lena to pay for the damage Kara left behind.
Lena seems to sense Kara’s discomfort. The teasing smirk on her face softens into an understanding smile.
“You do so much for this city. You put yourself on the line every day. I have the resources to help, and it won’t even make a noticeable dent in my bank account. Let me take care of this, okay?”
Kara shifts around on her chair, still a little unsure about this arrangement.
“Okay, but, you have to let me make it up to you somehow.”
At that, Lena nods. “Let me steal a couple of your french fries tomorrow at lunch and we’re even.”
Kara can hear the finality in Lena’s tone. It’s not unfriendly, but it’s clear that Lena won’t be deterred.
“Fine. Okay. I’ll see you tomorrow then?”
Lena nods again and grins.
It’s not until Kara has launched herself into the skies above National City that it clicks. Lena has lunch plans with Kara Danvers tomorrow, not with Supergirl.
Lena knows.
Shocked and distracted, Kara crashes into a billboard. She wonders if Lena will pay for that, too.

Webtoon Canvas is pay-to-win now, I guess.
DISCLAIMER: All of the series I show here is for the sake of comparing statistics and criticizing Webtoons' Super Likes system. I have nothing personal against these series or their creators and I do not want anyone to get the impression that I am encouraging any sort of action against these creators. The following rant is merely my own observations and opinions concerning Webtoons itself as a platform.
I found out today that Webtoon has implemented a Super Likes ranking board.
Tumblr media
This does exactly what it sounds like - it ranks Canvas series based on how many Super Likes they have. Whether or not this ranking board is on a weekly rotation (like the Originals rankings) or just overall, I don't know, but something immediately felt off with this system and it took very little time at all to realize what was really going on here.
When you actually click on the series listed here, it'll tell you how many Super Likes they've accrued overall. The first thing that made me raise an eyebrow was the fact that the Super Likes listed in the ranking boards isn't the same as what's listed in the comics' landing pages, but I chalked that up to a simple delay on WT's end as I can assume the ranking board doesn't refresh at pace with whatever Super Likes are coming in.
But the real red flag was this:
Tumblr media
Limitless : Untold is a series with 1,657 followers and seems to get an average of 35-45 likes per episode.
But it somehow has 1,715 Super Likes?
Anyone who's run a Patreon, Ko-Fi, Ad Revenue, or any other sort of revenue-based system with their content will probably realize how that doesn't add up. The reality is that regardless of how many readers / followers you have, only a small fraction of them will actually spend money on your work or to support you. Not every person reading an Originals series is FastPassing. Not every person reading a webcomic is supporting the creator on Patreon. This ratio is even apparent outside of income-based statistics - for example, not every person who follows will read new updates each week and hit the like button (which is why you can have a comic with 1700 followers that only gets a few hundred views and a handful of likes per update). This ratio can be influenced by all sorts of different things, but one thing that doesn't typically happen is for the ratio to flip itself in this fashion.
To put it bluntly: how can a comic with a high of 45 likes in the past 3 months possibly accrue 1,715 Super Likes since it was launched just last week? You've probably already come to the conclusion on your own, but for those who haven't: there's very strong evidence to suggest that creators are buying their own Super Likes to get on this ranking board.
That's assuming the worst of this, though - after all, maybe some of these creators just have super supportive friends who are tossing them a ton of Super Likes? It costs $1 for 5 of them, in this example the amount of Super Likes comes out to approximately $343 (assuming my math is right lmao) which isn't massive amounts of money but it's, again, still really impressive for a comic with only 40 likes on average.
Bu Limitless : Untold isn't the only one in the rankings board that's like this. In fact, the top three spots are occupied by webtoons with the same tilted ratio.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But then, suddenly, after those top three positions, the following webtoons Super Likes totals that make a LOT more sense and reflect the usual ratio more accurately:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Little Trashmaid, one of the most popular Canvas webtoons of all time and the first one to hit the 1 million subscriber mark in the Canvas section has only accrued 355 Super Likes so far... and you seriously want me to believe a comic like Limitless : Untold with only 0.08% of its readership is somehow genuinely earning five times the amount of Super Likes?
I want to make it clear yet again that I have nothing against the series that have managed to break the system in their own favor. None of this is meant to "slam" them or judge their work or anything of the sort, I'm simply comparing the numbers here and coming to a very reasonable conclusion as someone who's well aware of how ratios like this tend to work in webcomics and content creation. It's just not feasible for the top three comics in the Super Likes ranking boards to organically earn that many Super Likes relative to the sizes of their audiences, especially when compared to the bigger comics that are only pulling in a fraction of that amount. The ratios of Super Likes : actual likes for those bigger comics actually looks reasonable and expected, the ratios for the smaller comics that are sitting at the top are not.
If anything, Webtoons has created a broken system and these creators are simply using that system to their advantage. And I'm not necessarily going to fault them for that because I can get wanting to do whatever it takes to get eyes on your work.
But it does raise the question of what kind of system Webtoons has cultivated here - a system where creators are resorting to Super Liking their own episodes to bump themselves up in the leaderboards.
And before anyone asks me how I can be so sure that these creators are Super Liking their own works - I literally opted into the Super Likes system myself and proceeded to Super Like one of my own episodes.
Tumblr media
(this is like the one helpful thing with my work still being on WT even though I'm not updating there anymore, it lets me test shit like this LOL)
So yes, this is a thing that creators can do and it would certainly explain the massive discrepancy in the ratio of Super Likes : regular likes for these smaller series.
This is literally pay-to-win. And who do we have to blame for this? Webtoons, full stop. Not only for implementing a ranking board for an optional monetization service while still allowing creators to use that monetization system to support themselves as a way to climb up that ranking board, but for creating this gross psychological dependency on the platform as the "only way" to build an audience, to the point that people are now paying Webtoons out of their own pocket just to have their thumbnail visible in a ranking board and maybe get some extra views (and 49% of their money back if they hit that $100 threshold). And on top of all that, further putting on the pressure of competition and 'exclusivity' among many budding creators who are doing what they do for free and for fun. Why are creators now being forced to compete in a metric that's solely determined by how much expendable income their own audience has?
Sure, at least this means creators can get themselves into a ranking board by their own power unlike the other categories that are hand-picked by Webtoons and / or determined by daily stats, but at what cost? The literal financial hit of paying for advertising with extra steps, and the ethical dilemma of essentially paying for potential views with microtransactions. This is no better than paying bots on Instagram to follow your profile and inflate your worth to those who aren't following you. None of it is real, it will not legitimize your work to throw money at Webtoons just to have your thumbnail visible in a ranking board. These are microtransactions meant to benefit Webtoons, not you, the creator.

Kinktober Day 2- Anal Sex
warnings: AFAB!reader, anal sex, anal toys, sex work, pre-established scene, unprotected sex, creampies, f!masturbation, 18+ minors dni
main masterlist
kinktober masterlist
being a call girl for the richest businessmen in america was a high profile job. not only was desertion and privacy required of you, you were also expected to keep up with your clients’ sexual desires.
most of them were tame, not requiring too much physicality. most of them wanted to worship you. unsurprisingly, powerful men like to be submissive in the bedroom. it didn’t take much work on your end to lay back and let them put their hands and mouth on you, occasionally giving praise and direction that made their cocks leak.
one client, however, stands out from the rest. he is very dominant and demanding. when you first met him, he made his desires clear to you.
“when i’m paying you, i own you. i dont care if you have other clients or a husband or a kid. when you’re with me, i’m the only thing you think about. before each session i’ll give you a list of things to prepare and give you money if you have to buy anything. then you’ll come here at 5:15 to set up and be ready for me when i get home from work. i’ve given the security guards notice that you’ll be coming and they’ll let you in. i will tip very generously for your services, but if that is not enough incentive to keep up with my needs, we will part ways.”
you agreed to his terms and since then, things with mr. fischer have been wonderful. he does, in fact, tip very generously, but that is nothing compared to how he is in bed.
he expects obedience but will also occasionally instruct you to disobey so he can punish you. he gets off on power and control, and he makes sure to constantly display both of those with you.
he texted you two days ago sending details about tonight’s session. he was short and to the point as always.
red lace. buttplug- brand new, never been used. dark makeup. i want you stretched and prepped with the plug when i get there.
along with the message he sent $40 for the plug he wanted you to buy. later that day you went out to the sex shop and bought one you thought he’d like. now, robert was going to be home any minute and you’re dressed and prepped exactly how he wants.
“front door open,” the robotic voice from the security system announces.
you tremble slightly in anticipation as you hear his shined shoes click on the hardwood stairs. you left the door to the bedroom open per his request. he made it clear that you’re a toy for him to use, not his wife preparing a cheeky surprise.
mr fischer has a lot of hang ups, but he pays well and has a wonderful cock, so you put up with it.
he walks through the door and lets out a deep sigh when he sees you. though you’re face down on the bed, you hear the familiar rustling of his clothes and can picture what he’s doing behind you perfectly.
he’s loosened his tie and unclipped his cuff links, placing them on the dish on the dresser. then he shrugs his suit jacket off and drapes it over the chair he likes to watch you from occasionally. you can’t hear his steps on the carpeted floor, so his cool hand on your ass makes you jump.
“hello, sir,” you greet him. he says nothing in return.
his thumbs trace over the lace edges of your panties, taking in the scarlet color that he loves so much. he then begins to knead your ass cheeks, digging fingers into your soft flesh hard enough to bruise. without warning, he brings his hand back and spanks you, the slap ringing through the bedroom. you successfully stifle your whimper.
clearly not in the mood for foreplay, robert grabs the waistband of your panties and tugs them down so they gather at the crook of your knees. you chose a cheeky pair of panties, wanting something that will hide the base of the plug until they’re completely off.
from behind you, robert lets out a low groan. you chose a silver plug with a red jewel that glitters in the dim light of the bedroom. he pushes on the base with his thumb, watching you take it deeper before it moves back out when he takes away the pressure.
while you would like to be talked to, you understand that this is mr. fischer’s stress relief. he’s pent up from a long week at work, but once he’s closer to cumming, he won’t be able to shut up.
robert grasps the end of the plug and slowly pulls it out. he waits until the widest part of the plug is stretching you before pushing it back in. he repeats this, slowly fucking you with the bulb and watching as your cunt drips.
mercifully, he pulls the plug out and tosses it to the floor. it makes a faint thud, then you hear the sound of a zipper. robert slaps his cock on your right cheek, leaving a sticky patch of precum behind. he spits on your hole and pushes his blunt head against it.
he doesn't ask if you're ready or give any warning before he starts to push in. despite wearing a plug, there is still a bit of a stretch. he goes slow, but unrelenting. once he's fully seated inside you, he grabs you by the hips and uses his hold as leverage to fuck you.
"tight fuckin' ass," he groans.
the slow drag of his cock inside you makes your toes curl. you know he isn't doing this for your benefit, for your pleasure, but in some way, that makes you enjoy it more. he's using you like a fleshlight, just a warm hole to stick his dick in.
lewd squelches come from behind you as he fucks into you, using you for his own pleasure. his cock stimulates your g-spot from a different angle than you’re used to and it makes you dizzy, abdomen burning with need.
“you’re so fucking good,” he says, thrusting harder.
you try not to make noise, wanting to be a perfect toy for him, but it’s hard to suppress the whines he’s punching out of you.
“who owns this ass?” he asks, giving you a spank.
“you do, sir,” you whine.
speak when spoken to is the rule he likes you to follow. and when you do speak, you must use a title showing your respect.
“i’m gonna cum in you, honey. fill you ‘til you’re fucking dripping with it.”
robert loves to cum inside. to him, it’s the final display of ownership during sex. after a few hard, rough thrusts, robert’s cock twitches and the first spurts of cum fill you.
“fuck,” he hisses through his teeth.
he pulls your hips flush against yours and moves you onto him, pushing and pulling rapidly to milk his cock dry.
it was over too quickly for your liking, but he’s not paying you to cum on his cock. you’re here for his pleasure and nothing else.
robert stays inside you for a few moments to catch his breath, then he pulls out slowly, careful not to let any cum escape. he then picks up the plug from the floor, wipes it off on his suit pants, and slides it back into you.
“good girl,” he says, tapping your ass as a single to sit up.
robert beings to undress fully in front of you, but there isn’t anything sexual about it besides his enticing body. he isn’t putting on a show for you.
he leaves his expensive suit in a crumple on the floor, uncaring that it will get wrinkled. his dry cleaner will make it neat again, and if not, he can buy ten more just like it as a replacement.
“i’m gonna go shower. money’s on the dresser. feel free to get yourself off before you go.” he says casually.
he walks out of the bedroom and into the master bathroom. you watch his ass until your vision is obstructed by the door.
you sigh and scoot up the bed to bury your face in his pillow, inhaling the masculine scent of aftershave and shampoo.
you slide your hand down your front and begin to rub your clit. you wish, just once, he’d request a longer session. one where he fucks you thoroughly and makes you cum repeatedly before the night is through.

Hey, So I'm Still in Between Jobs and Struggling.
But I might have a temporary solution while I continue my job hunt. I have repurposed my Ko-Fi to be a tip jar for my emoji servers and such as well as a place for commissioning servers from me. This can either be an emoji server or a fandom server. To clarify: all money will be going towards necessities like food, HRT, medical bills, paying off debts, etc. as well as Nitro as needed.
Emoji Server Commissions ($10):
• I'll make a server of my usual format
• Add emojis of the theme of your choosing. Depending on the theme, it might take some digging
• Add Tupperbox and PluralKit
• This can be either a private server for you and a select few or public and added to my list in Emoji Finder
• Can take me anywhere between 3-5 hours depending on how hard it is to find stuff for your theme
• If it's a private server, I'll leave and give you ownership when all is said and done
• Emoji Creators seeking someone to make a server or more for them only have to pay $8 plus an additional $6 per additional server. If the process for the initial server exceeds 5 hours of work, I will request you move up to fandom server prices. For you that would be $12 + $10 per added server. I would prefer to make at least $1.50/hour if not $2. This just keeps it fair for me. DM for further info.
Fandom Server Commissions ($15):
• I have a standard format I usually go for and will have that set up initially before inviting you in and you can say what you want added or removed. Nothing there is set in stone. And if I don't know the fandom I'll need help naming things anyhow.
• I'll add an optional list of bots, including: Dyno, Carl, Disboard & Disboard Bump Reminder, and Starboard on top of PluralKit and Tupperbox.
• I'll program all the roles for you
• I'll set the permissions for every part of the server
• I'll go out and find emojis for it too if you'd like
• This process has taken me around 8-10 hours before, so unless it's a really simple server, don't expect it done in one sitting
• When I'm done, I'll transfer ownership to you and dip. Only thing I ask is that you don't touch where I put a note that I made the server as a commission for you.
• Also, obviously, you'll need to hire your own modding staff
If any of that sounds good to you, click here to go to my Ko-Fi!

pair: jungwon x gn!reader | genre: fluff, f2?? | warning(s): alcohol consumption | wc: 1k | synopsis: even alcohol can’t seem to stop how he feels about you.
lynne’s notez🗒️: happy jungwon day!! i love him ur honor
Tumblr media
yang jungwon doesn’t like drinking.
he hates the feeling of losing control. but ever since he’s turned twenty, it seems to be all he’s doing. to celebrate a success or to simply have fun, jungwon only participates the tiniest bit.
but tonight it’s different. maybe it’s the atmosphere pulling him in, telling him to let go for once. or maybe it’s niki and jake chanting for him to chug it. maybe it’s sunoo shaking his head and discouraging them.
or maybe it’s you. you’re sat from across from him, smiling your pretty smile. you nod along with the chants, not particularly pushing him to. you didn’t attend the outgoings often with boys, but whenever you did, jungwon filled with hope. maybe you’d finally recognize his romantic advances towards you.
tonight, you look too pretty for him not to notice. he gives extra attention to the words you say and makes sure you have plenty to eat. god, when did he become so invested in this tiny crush?
he doesn’t know what comes over him, but jungwon downs the soju like it doesn’t burn his throat — although it does — and the table erupts with cheers. he doesn’t remember exactly what happens next, but just heeseung pouring him another and whispering “don’t feel like you have too, won,” along with a pat on the back.
two hours later and jungwon is slumped over the table, eyes attempting to stay awake and his breath reeking of alcohol. the table was nearly empty, just niki passed out on the far right corner and heeseung calling someone over to pay the bill. and you, taking out your wallet to pay heeseung back.
“it’s fine yn, it’s on me.” heeseung smiles, pushing away your money even though you really insisted. “it’s really okay, i just need someone to get jungwon home safely. do you mind?”
“of course,” you say, putting away your wallet. you thank heeseung for the meal and make your way to jungwon who’s half asleep and can barely sit up properly. you tap him on the shoulder and he jolts awake, curious eyes looking for who had awoken him.
“ready to go?” you ask, offering your hand out. jungwon nods sleepily and doesn’t hesitate to put his hand in yours, immediately lifting himself up. his hand lingers on yours for a second before he lets go shyly.
“where are we going?” he asks as you lead him to your car, your hand reaching for your keys.
“home.” you reply, opening up the car door. jungwon clambers into the seat, tugging at the seatbelt which he can’t get to just work. you sigh softly, reaching out to help him. your hands hover just above his and he lets you take over, strapping him in. the closeness between the two of you is driving him crazy and he can smell the sweetness of your shampoo.
once the two of you are on the road, the silence settles in. it isn’t uncomfortable or awkward, just a bit quiet. jungwon steals glances at you, admiring how you look from the side. of course, he only does this when you aren’t looking. as soon as you are, he’s looking away, cheeks tinted pink.
your car pulls up to his dorms and jungwon feels the car ride was a little to short for his liking. his time with you is coming to an end. he can hear you turn the car key and with a click, the car engine dies down. now it truly is just the two of you.
“do you need help getting inside?” you ask politely. “jungwon?” you emphasize his name and he looks at you expectantly.
“did you know lightning comes before thunder? the light travels at 300,000,000 meters per second, which is a lot faster than sound.” jungwon spouts nervously, his hands coming together to play with each other.
your brows crease together and you let out a small laugh. “i’ll make note of it, won.”
“i actually don’t care about the speed of lightning or thunder. i care about you. i think about you lot. i’m not sure how to put it because i’ve never felt this way before.” jungwon thinks it’s the alcohol that makes him so bold but you don’t stop him so he continues. “and i feel like i’m being driven to insanity just trying to figure out how to bump into you casually. god, i can’t even remember when anything i did didn’t revolve around you.” he finishes breathlessly and looks at you.
you gulp unsurely, “jungwon, you’re drunk.” you say matter of factly.
“i know. but i just wanted to let you know.” he says and gets out of the car, fumbling to close the car door properly. jungwon feels the immediate impact of the cold wind when he steps out and immediately regrets not wearing a thicker jacket.
he drags his feet against the pavement and to his doorstep, shoulders slumped in your rejection towards his advancements. he lets out a small huff, absentmindedly reaching for his dorm keys.
the sound of your car door opening isn’t enough for jungwon to turn around, so he continues his walk of shame.
“hey— jungwon, wait!” you catch up to him, reaching for his shoulder. you gently turn him around and his tired, cat-like eyes open wide at the contact, only softening once he sees that it’s you. “here,” you say, reaching for his hand. his hand unclasps slowly and you drop his keys, touching his palm briefly.
there’s a moment where time slows and you feel as if the world decelerates just for you and him. you take him in, the quiet wind sifting through his hair and there’s a subtle pink dusted across his cheeks. he looks sweet, standing there with his mouth partly open as he stares back at you.
“thank you,” jungwon lets go of a breath and stills for a second.
“i like you too—“ you blurt out suddenly. a boyish grin breaks out across jungwon’s face and his dimples appear, residing deep in his cheeks.
something swells in your heart as jungwon steps closer to you, smelling of alcohol and sweet laundry detergent. “i would like to kiss you, but i’m drunk.” he states with a disappointed tone, though a smile remains on his face.
“i’ll remind you tomorrow then.” you reassure him, stepping closer.
“i can’t wait to be reminded.” he wraps his arms around you with his hands lingering around your waist, holding you closely. jungwon’s heart is hammering loudly once he lets go of you (regardless of how reluctant he is).
“goodnight jungwon.” you smile faintly, stepping back as jungwon finally opens his front door. he’s hesitant to leave but you usher him inside, encouraging him to get some sleep.
“goodnight yn,” jungwon giggles, disappearing behind the door.
you grin the whole way home.

JAN MOIR on fire: Meghans become just another pay-per-view plugger turning her high profile into high profit by u/Von_und_zu_
JAN MOIR on fire: Meghan’s become just another pay-per-view plugger turning her high profile into high profit Between not launching her lifestyle brand, not being invited to A-list events and not visiting the UK with her husband, where does Meghan find the time to be an international businesswoman, that is what I want to know. This week, the Duchess of Sussex interrupted her trade and industry schedule to give an interview to the New York Times. How unlike her, is what you are thinking, and I agree.Meghan breached her ongoing quest for privacy, piercing that pearly shell of seclusion and confidentiality, to talk to one of the few publications in the world — along with People magazine, her trusty in-house trumpet — that she knows will treat her waffly pensées and latest commercial undertakings with respect and deference, rather than openly laugh in her face. And so it came to be.\**Meghan would not tell the newspaper how much she put into the brand, nor what ownership percentage she now has in the company, but Cesta confirmed it was a minority stake. So I am guessing that it was sixpence, a free jar of jam and a signed photograph of the Duke and Duchess being presented with their Golden Grifters of 2024 award. Why are we all here? I've lost my thread. Oh, yes — to salute Meghan's 'ability to move merchandise', a talent which was breathlessly admired by the NYT, as if the Duchess were a shiny fashion truck barrelling down the highway of hip.Which, as it turns out, is exactly how she sees herself.\**However, the exiled Duchess has had to wait until now to fully monetise that regal power and fully invest in herself — while also helping struggling fashion brands establish themselves, of course. Of course.'I support designers that I have really great friendships with, and smaller, up-and-coming brands that haven't gotten the attention that they should be getting,' she said.Unknowns such Oscar de La Renta and Givenchy, along with St Ella of McCartney and an obscure apprentice tailor from Milan called Mr G Armani, are all so grateful for her help. As, indeed, are Cesta.\**The Duchess also told the newspaper that, when it comes to being a businesswoman, she is a dolphin, not a shark. And also that she is better than you, but you knew that already.\**Like all influencers — which is what she has become — Meghan always seems to be invested in the higher purpose of self-valourising while imposing her superior taste on the scabby masses for clicks and cash.Look. Plenty of celebrities and even some royals get clothes and accessories for free — but that is not enough for the Sussexes. I imagine long Montecito nights of the soul when Meghan and Harry just burn with pure fury at the thought of anyone else, from handbag maker to napkin embroiderer to dress designer, making money out of them.So perhaps it should be no surprise to anyone that she seems to be turning herself into just another pay-per-view professional plugger, a walking billboard in a perennial marketing campaign for herself, a duchess who has transmogrified her high profile into a high profit, with a price on everything from her ethical diamond earrings to the soles of her shoes. The problem is that, collectively and individually, Harry and Meghan haven't got any actual talent to monetise — all that is left to milk is the very fact of their celebrity itself. For he is a prince who will never be crowned and she is an actress who will never get a part. And it was always, always coming to this sad point. https://ift.tt/2Yd3cUs post link: https://ift.tt/J8CvZrl author: Von_und_zu_ submitted: August 30, 2024 at 04:27AM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit disclaimer: all views + opinions expressed by the author of this post, as well as any comments and reblogs, are solely the author's own; they do not necessarily reflect the views of the administrator of this Tumblr blog.
