Rewatching prodigal son and i have to say: both Edrisa and Malcom are autistic

Edrisa’s special interests being anatomy/mortuary science as well as kinks/bdsm. I feel like she flat out researches that stuff because its interesting to her the way brains work and such (just trust me on this)

Malcom’s special interests are obviously historical weapons (i mean, he is a collector of them after all), as well as some form of psychology (i feel like he’d get fixated on trying to figure out how his own brain works and end up going to research rabbit holes) and “true crime” (not sure how else to phrase it but serial killers, murderers, murder weapons, methods etc)

Sorry for a post litterally from the farthest left field imaginable but I watched Prodigal Son, and what a fun time it was. I am immensely disappointed it got cancelled, but at this point I don’t even get surprised when I start a show that’s already not gonna continue.

if i had a nickel for every time my favorite show had a cop who's last name is powell and another cop was the found family dad figure to one of the main characters because their actual dad, who is named martin, was highly abusive and now the mc thinks they are a monster like him because of what they had to do for survival, i'd have two nickles. which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

FJZORKZKKDKD the same thing happened to me last year, after watching season 2 of good omens I started having an hyperfixation on it and with that I became a fan of michael sheen, so I started prodigal son in which he plays a fictional serial killer. I also thought it weird to simp for a serial killer, even if it's a fictional one and suddenly I was like "you know what killing is bad but nevermind u r a baby girl you did nothing wrong".

So I was already jugdment free for hannibal. I did expect to ship hannigram but definitely not THAT hard and not having an hyperfixation like that on this show lmao

(However I feel like I have to say it: please everyone, if u simp on fictional serial killer it's fine, it's a fictional character, but ffs don't simp on REAL serial killer wtf people why are you doing that there are real victims and it's really weird, I've seen this happen too many times for my sanity, and I understand even less the need to put it on tiktok or whatever 💀)

How come we all suddenly started watching hannibal now ??? Like I finished it fews days ago and I thought I was the only one watching it for the first time ten years late but I'm seeing so many post on here of ppl finishing it now too ???? At least we can collectively cry about it ig
