Early Morning Glass
(Slimariana/Misclick duo) Fluff
This is for @keezers for helping me with Spanish translations for "Just Wish I Knew What Caused it"
Words 1179
Read it on Ao3
------------------
It was 6am. Way too early for almost anything but Mariana couldn't sleep any longer so he decided he may as well try and figure out how to make “drip coffee” before Slime woke up as a suprise.
He was hunched over the counter reading the article for the 5th time trying to blink the sleep out of his eyes when a body pressed against his.
“Mariana what the fuck” Slime whined wrapping his arms around Mariana
“Go back to bed asshole,” he placed a hand on Slime’s “I'm making you something.”
Slime didn't go back to bed. Instead he hummed, then huffed, before putting Mariana’s glasses on his face. Oh that's why he couldn't read the article.
“Ahhh thank you.” He chuckled turning a bit to kiss Slime’s cheek. Slime in turn held on to Mariana tighter.
“Go back to bed.” Mariana chuckled trying to push Slime off half heartedly.
Slime stayed “Not without my Bitch Wife” He smiled his hands shifting to gently scratch at Mariana’s stomach before kissing the back of his neck. “Don't make me go alone” He rests his forehead head on Mariana’s shoulder.
Mariana sighed “fine fine. Let me turn around.”
Slime loosened up his hug to let Mariana turn around before Slime pulled him in closer.
Mariana chuckled and wrapped his arms around Slime before leaning against the counter.
“Why can't you go back to bed without me?”
Slime burries his head right into the space between Mariana’s neck and shoulder “… I don't sleep as well if you're not there man… you're so warm” Slime takes a pause “my goop needs you.” He says trying not to giggle.
Mariana had to stop himself from giggling as he lets one of his hands go into Slime’s “hair” And scratch gently causing Slime to, figuratively, melt.
Mariana humms and whispers “yea I sleep better next to you too man…” he kisses the top of Slime’s head.
Slime in turn kisses Mariana’s neck
“Want to know what I found out during bed time?” Mariana asked
“What?” Slime said nuzzling in more as he makes a trail of kisses in Mariana’s skin gently and lovingly.
“Pepito doesn't know why you and Sunny live here too.” Mariana chuckled.
Slime pulls away slightly to look at Mariana “what?”
“He thinks that you two are having a sleepover.”
Slime smiles and chuckles “What? What about the Flippas?”
“He understands Juana and… the other one… is both of ours and she lives here.” Mariana shrugs.
“Come on man don't call our other daughter ‘the other one’ that's just rude.” Slime scolds teasingly
“I know, sorry. We need to get her a name though.” Mariana sighed
Slime nodded in agreement “okay. but like how does he-”
“To be fair, Sunny… they usually live with Tubbo.” Mariana offers
“Yea but I just happen to be having sleepovers whenever Pepito is here? Which is pretty often” Slime says laughing and trying to be quiet, wanting to be mindful of the sleeping children upstairs.
Mariana shrugged
“What did you tell him?”
“Well he was asking when you were going home and I told him I'd ask you.” Mariana chuckled and kisses Slime’s cheek. Slime melted more litterally and Mariana grimaced as some of Slime came off on his lip and started trying to blow it off.
Slime tried to hold back his laughter but was failing “god that kid is so stupid…”
“Hey man! Noooo nooo he's not. He's just related to Quackity! That's not his fault! No mames! You didn't just say that to me about my son what the fuck?” Mariana said trying not to laugh harder than Slime was and was also failing.
They bagan to shh eachother putting fingers to lips and moving closer together until their lips fell on to one another's and the only thing keeping them both quiet was a mutual agreement to not let the moment end.
Slime’s hand went to Mariana’s leg but Mariana grabbed both of Slimes’s hands putting them to his waist before holding Slime’s face with hisown. He pulled away.
“Not now… just this right now.” Marian breathed eyes still closed.
“Okay.” Slime agreed before their lips fell against each other once again.
All things considered it wasn't a deep kiss at all. Tongues stayed inside the mouth of whoever it was attached too but somehow they still came away with strings of spit connecting them… or maybe that was part of Slime. It was a little hard to tell.
They were both smiling. It was like heaven.
It was better than heaven because they were together and they were alive.
“Can we sit down?” Slime asked finding himself still desperate for rest.
Mariana hummed and led Slime over to their couch sitting down with him before slime was resting on Mariana’s shoulder again.
“I love you so much. I'm so glad we got paired together to raise Flippa and I'm so glad you agreed to take in the poor girl pretending to be her and I'm so happy to have just this life with you-” Slime said blinking away happy tears
“Who are you and what have you done with Slime?!” Mariana chuckled and Slime scoffed sitting up to look at Mariana in the eyes
“Excuse you. I am capable of having serious emotions.” Slime chuckled at the smile Mariana was giving him “but I was about to say that it was Despite the fact you're a slut and a whore”
“Wooooow” Mariana mused
“My Bitch Wife” Slime hummed leaning in again. He looked at Mariana’s lips. “Who I love”
Mariana hummed and kissed Slime for a few seconds arms wrapping around him, under Slime’s arms. Slime in turn wrapped his arms around Mariana and pushed him to lay down on the couch.
“Ayyyy what are you doing?” Mariana scolded.
Slime just hummed and shimmied to lay his head on Mariana’s chest. “It's still to early… so I'm going back to sleep.”
“No mames, Slime. Please, I was trying to do something.” Mariana said making a half hearted attempt to move his husband.
“Tell me where you got the kettle and I'll let you up” Slime huffed
Mariana paused “At least let me turn it off?”
Slime got up and turned it off himself before sliding back ontop of Mariana who already had his arms open waiting.
Slime tucked himself into his spot and yawned.
“Sleep well Slime.” Mariana cooed running his hands over Slime’s back.
“You too.” Slime was asleep in seconds.
Mariana sat there trying to see if there was a way out. There wasn't so he sighed and closed his eyes.
it seemed all he needed was the weight of his husband to get back to sleep.

i thonk thats all of my midnig ramblings so far if i think of any more at a amore decent hour ill let you know
muah besitos x repsonder msi preguntas saluditos chayito tqm
Okay, long post!
Here's a few posts I've already made on the kids: - Arrival - Qualifications - Names - Abilities Other than that, they kinda just do... hero things. They do go to school at the FoH headquarters- basically homeschooling tbh. But they do patrols and they go out on fights and it's dangerous. They aren't usually all friends because it's a very competitive environment, so it's usually pretty lonely. Either your teammates hate you or they're dead.
Yeah lol, he's an alien prince and he will Not go back home now that he's got a family
Full disclosure, I've never even had a taco before so I didn't even know there are different types of taquerias, but the one Roier works at is lowkey his? Like his dads are rich af so they bought it for him as a birthday present when he turned 18, but he was like "Dads nooooo I wanna make my own way in the world!" so he works as a server and cook and lets other people take care of the business side of things. Is it practical? Considering he's also Spider-Man, it works for him! 4. So Charlie is kinda nothing, but he's been heading down a steady path towards villainy since his daughter, Flippa, was taken from him and put into the Junior Hero Program. He can't control when he Geggs out, though, so he kinda just sits in a sewer and mopes. Meanwhile Mariana was so bad at being a hero that the FoH literally kicked him out, and now he's also. In a sewer missing his daughter. But tbh the two of them will probably end up as partners in crime as soon as Charlie figures out how to purposefully Gegg all over the place 5. Etoiles joined the FoH entirely willingly because he fully and totally just legitimately wants to protect the city. But he lowkey hates everyone in the FoH and is like two seconds away from quitting and turning to vigilante-ing because he knows that the entire system is corrupt. But he wants to keep his daughter safe, too, so he's waiting to quit until she's just a bit older. Then they can be the father-daughter vigilante duo they've been planning to be since Pomme was, like, three 6. Wilbur is a rock star who can make flowers appear out of thin air, and his ability is so useless that the FoH can't even use him as a spokesman for the organization. All he does is make pretty flowers for his daughter and leave to go on tour, but that's fine, everyone loves him, anyway 7. So Quackity and his identical twin brother ElQuackity don't speak to each other. Quackity is an ordinary dude working at a coffee shop downtown with a shapeshifting ability that he uses exclusively for pranks and bullying. Meanwhile ElQ is a former villain who was "reformed" by the FoH. He works for them now, and he's the guy in charge of the Junior Hero Program: Dr. Duck, how scary 8. Yeah! Everybody's real in this au! I don't think any of them except Tubbo and Mouse and Bagi and maybe Willy and Rivers would ever appear in a proper big role because the story would focus on Cellbit and Roier and the people they know and work with yk? 9. Nope, nothing with the cat stuff this time. I'm focusing more on what the actual q!Cellbit is like in this au, what with the literal fear rooms and the spooky vampire castle and the fact that he's out here calling himself a vampire lol

holy shit bro just saw your most recent post and.
Tumblr media
i am also. very normal. about slimeriana. we should discuss them. and i would absolutely love to hear about your aus yes yes yes infodump baby i sit on ur porch with a basket and i want u to put ur ideas in it so i may feast >:D
FUCK YEAAAAA
okay so i read this fic with Slimeriana that was like resident evil au, like Slimecicle's playthrough with Charlie as Leon and Mariana as Luis and it gave me a thought! what if House of Ashes AU with Charlie as Jason and Mariana as Salim!! Zain as Flippa as well ofc
Tumblr media
^ this so slimeriana coded, Mariana on the left and Charlie on the right. i can just imagine the morning after an argument and they're wearing this while Flippa has the cutest little onesie jumpsuit thingy that is a one punch man suit with a slime themed eye mask
also Sannylity's selection(?) AU gave me the idea of just royalty au, where Mariana is a prince and Charlie is the new courtjester that he fucking falls in live with, and it could be angsty with like arranged marriage with like prince Foolish
AND! and, au where Charlie didn't exist on the Quesadilla island, but instead is the SCU!god version of him and saw like the weird shit going on and decided to just go mess with the people and just instantly fell in love with Mariana, and decided to grant a wish for him to bring Juanaflippa back with like the condition that he gets to raise her too and kdhjgdjgdjgd
and ofc in similar ways a version where Slimecicle is a demon and decides to be sussy and mischievous but cringefails so hard and marries a single parent Mariana
i also have a minecraft diaries au but like idk if people really know about that or wanna hear about it fjzjgsjg
also coffee/flower shop au, Charlie is a gardener who opens up a shop and Mariana is a tired barrista who works across from it, also i like to think Flippa is like Charlie's niece who he adopted when she was born, due to her actual parents dying, and she introduces Charlie to Mariana because she likes to get cookies from the coffee shop.
also, i have thought about a dying light 2 au but i haven't really figured it all out, basically just aus for every game Slimecicle has posted a playthrough of lmaoo
aeeee english isn't my first language so i hope you forgive my messy and nonsense ramblings
please do ask for more and specific stuff if you want more, i also have so many headcanons :')

The hatched QSMP eggs are done! I really want to figure out what mod lets the admins look like eggs and try and add these guys as a side-mod. I'd need to figure out how to animated them though.
you can download these guys here (contains .blend and .obj files for each kid): https://www.mediafire.com/file/tqj4axkhkeiywwc/DragonEggs.zip/file
I did my best to make each kid look unique and also a bit like their parents, so I'll add my reasoning below the cut!
First off, all the kids (except for Tilín, JuanaFlippa, and Trump) have their main body color based off the colored signs they use. I tried to incorporate any of the kid's favorite colors as well. Also when I mention clothing i simply mean that's how the markings look on the dragons.
Bobby only used light blue signs once, but I still used that as his man body color. His armbands are from Roier and his pink wings / fading to pink tail are from Jaiden. both of their skins have black eyes so Bobby does as well.
Chayanne's diamond wing markings and face markings are from Phil, and so are his green spikes/ fading to green tail. His boots and armbands are from Missa. His wika page says that "his eyes are the same color as enchanted slime armor" so I did my best to match that.
Dapper is obviously based solely off of Bad, and is only one of three to have non-white sclera since I felt like it fit with his vibe.
JuanaFlippa has no sign color, so I made her green since none of the others are (and I feel like that would have been her sign color anyways). The dark splotches on her head and arm are from Slime's skin, as well as the red markings on her chest. the fading to yellow tail / spikes/ and boots and gloves are from Mariana. Both Slime and Mariana's skins have brown eyes so Flippa does as well (even though you can't really see them behind the glasses).
Leonarda's favorite color is purple and she's the first one to get a colored sign! Just wanted to mention that. The dark parts of her skin are from the shark part of Foolish's skin, as well as her green eyes. the gold on her arms/legs are from Vegetta and the gold spikes are from both. Her fading to blue tail is just because I thought it looked nice.
Pomme (and Richas) have more busy designs since I needed to incorporate aspects from five different people. The sad face on her back is from Antoine, her orange muzzle is from Baghera, her yellow shoes are from Aypierre, the symbol on her wings are from Etoiles, and her armbands are from Kameto. I gave her heterocromia opposite her face markings because.
Ramón is mostly based off of Fit (knee pads, brown wings/spikes/eyes/grey circle on his chest) but he does have faint lighter markings on his arms and his snout from Spreen. He has brown sclera because white blended into his body to much.
Richarlyson also had a very busy design. His goggle are from Cellbit, the marking on his back legs or from Forever, his armbands are from Felps, the markings on his wings are from Pac, and his boots are from Mike. his fading to green tail is because several of his fathers have green in their original skins (also it looked good). Also his back left leg is the one i think is his bad leg, so I made it a prosthetic.
Tallulah is based solely off Wilbur, and for her I decided to do gradients to yellow since it looked like a sunrise almost and she is everyone's ray of sun! Also her favorite color is purple so that's why she has purple eyes.
Tilín is based solely off Quackity, but I decided to have her split down the middle since Quackity's original story for his character was the he was split into two people. Her favorite colors are pink and blue, so her body is pink and her eyes are blue.
Trump's files are called 'Trumpet' since I didn't want to leave my progress open and my roommate to see a file just called 'Trump' (Why did they name him that. why). He also never got a colored sign, but orange fit for.... reasons. His knee/elbow guards are from Dan, and the markings on his sides are from the words on Maximus' skin.
I hope you guys like these!

I have. SO many thoughts about your Spider-Man au. First of all, I don’t know how much or how long you’ve watched slimecicle, but as I long time frequent viewer I can tell you he is DEEPLY unhinged. He makes a fantastic villain whenever he sets his mind to it. Which brings me to my point - you’ve mentioned slime living in fear of his lack of control over venom. I think you could break slimecicle into two pieces - Charlie, his civilian identity, and Slime, his symbiote. Together they make slimecicle. Charlie brings the puns, the humor, and the lightheartedness to their hive mind. Slime brings the violence, the territorialness, the disregard for human life. Combined it means that slimecicle cracks cannibal jokes before he eats people and stalks those he cares about. I think he would be all in on the cannibalism. He’s disturbing not by being scary but by being silly and normal even as he eats people. Becomes obsessed with Spider-Man. Some guy hurts the spider real bad and slimecicle tortures and eats them. I just think he should be demented and unhinged! He offers to eat Juanaflipa’s bullies. When him and Mariana find out each other’s identities and split ways he stalks him to make sure he’s safe. Maybe he even killed someone before the symbiote. He’s a fucked up silly little guy. Take this with a grain of salt if you want these are just my thoughts! I just think he should hive mind and be creepier. And that he’d be into the murder thing.
🐀
Answer got too long so I have to hide it under the cut again whoooooooo also there’s a poll at the end
Charlie definitely gets unhinged but only really after Juanaflippa dies because that’s when he stops holding back Venom/Slime from going on a rampage- as time goes on and his issues remain unaddressed the line between Charlie the human being and Slime the symbiote becomes blurred. Before he’d make more of an effort to “mask” anything out of the ordinary (with varying success) but post-Flippa’s death he rolls with the horror more instead of covering it up, e.g. “That was just a very large dog, don’t worry about it hahaha” vs “yes, I just ate a man- I skipped breakfast, we all do it.”
Charlie indulging in more “monsterous” habits and the symbiote Slime forming genuine human connections with those around it (Mariana & Juanaflippa)! So when Mariana and him “split” after her death, he justifies following him around because he want to keep him out of similar danger, and it’s fine because Venom/Slime is helping. Before he would catch sight of Spider-Man and adore him as a symbolic figure to what Charlie could never amount to, now he follows Mariana out of desperation for losing all he used to have (but simultaneously cannot confront Mariana in person because then he’d have to face a whole other can of issues relating to Juanaflippa’s death).
Charlie definitely considered eating Juanaflippa’s school bullies at one point but never brought it up to her because he was under the impression she didn’t know he was possessed by a man-eating symbiote lmaooo
Also you make a good point of making Charlie creepier! I considered indulging into some body horror when I first started this au but figured that would scare people off so I kinda forgot about it 💀 like “oops I grew a second mouth” and then vomits a skeleton hahaha and how an alien species attaching itself to his body could make him feel like his body isn’t his own anymore but the host of a being out of his control and comfort :)
On a side note he would 100% crack a pun before killing a man (I’m just not good at puns so imagine a really funny one rn) and nom
Accept this doodle as thanks for the brain rot I will continue to think of these dumb idiots whom I love

Tumblr media

Racing against the clock - and against the law - the two must find a way to steal 100 million dollards to pay Ian Wright in exchange for Samantha's life.
Pairings: Eventually Steve x Oc, father!grover x daughter!oc, ohana being cute and mcdanno being na old married couple
Word Count: 1454
Warnings: Bad writing maybe? (sorry about that)
A/N: I’m start by saying this - I don’t know what I’m doing. I love H50, I love to write, but I’m terrible at it, not to mention slow af. Maybe, if I feel inspired, you can expect a new chapter every week - maybe two. Give me your feedback, it helps a ton.
Chapter One
Lou Grover was family. Well, sort of. He and Maggie met back when he was a cop in Chicago and she was a 8 year-old left on the streets on her own. He took her in and he and his wife became her legal guardians. Maggie look up to Lou as a father figure, and it was to no surprise when she became a police officer herself.
And since he left Chicago and moved to Hawaii, most of Maggie’s vacations where spend in - you guessed it - Hawaii. Which wasn’t bad - at all: white sandy beaches, tropical warm weather and an easy-going lifestyle. She would spend most of her days shopping with Renee or going to the beach with Samantha and Will on their free time, and dinners were always at the Grovers. At that moment, she was with Lou at Kamekona’s waiting for Sam to lunch.
“You would like living here, Maggie” Lou spoke as he checked his phone, again “and we could use someone with your set of skills on the HPD”
Maggie shot him a cheeky smile “Aww, do you miss having me around to save your ass, Lou-Lou?”
The man shot her a disapproving look “What I don’t miss is me keeping YOUR ass alive and well, little Miss Keep-Getting-Myself-In-Trouble-All-The-Time!”
She laughed loudly “Like you always said, I’m a trouble-magnet, and this is a fine ass, so I would like to keep it as save as I can... Aloha!” She greeted Kamekona as he served the three sets of shrimp plates, shooting her a wide smile
“Oh, look like you got stood up, brah.” the cook said, pointing at the empty seat
“Oh, no, she'll be here.” Maggie assured
“One thing about my daughter Samantha, she's sort of punctual.”
“Well, if she doesn't show, and you need a hand with the shrimp plates, my cousin Flippa, he got a lunch break coming up.” He looked back at Maggie, winking “He’s also single, in case you want to see the island through the eyes of a local”
Lou eyed him infuriated, but simply replied “Thanks, but, uh, she'll show.”
“Just in case, I'll have him on standby.”
Kamekona said as he walked away, making Maggie chuckle. Lou was already speaking to Sam, but something was wrong “All right, who the hell is this?”
Maggie reached for his hand, and it was shaking. He looked up to her, his eyes showing the deadly terror he was feeling.
“Samantha, honey, I want you to listen to me very carefully. The man that you're with is a very dangerous fugitive... Now-Now I know you're scared, but I need you to be strong. I'm gonna find you. I promise you. I'm gonna find you…”
Maggie quickly moved from her seat closer to Lou, leaning her head closer to the phone. The voice on the other line was from a young man, and although he spoke calmly she could hear the anger in his demanding tone.
“Stay close to your phone, I'll be in touch. And obviously, this stays between us. Tell any of your cop buddies about this, and you'll be using your daughter's college fund to pay for a funeral.”
***
In no time they were on the library, following the signal of the GPS from Samantha’s phone. Lou had told her all about Ian Wright through the way, and Maggie couldn’t help but think that maybe Ian didn’t care about the money at all, maybe he just wanted to hurt Lou. She followed Lou closely, as he looked from the phone to a trash can, throwing the lid away and pulling Sam’s backpack, as Maggie reached for the phone that was inside. Samantha had disappeared.
They ran back to car, and Lou started panicking. Lou dialed a number but after a ring, he hang up, muttering to himself “Stupid! Alright, alright…”
Maggie reach for his arm, squeezing it slightly “Listen to me, we’ll find Sam, and we’ll bring her home safe and sound, alright?” he simply nodded his head “Who were you calling?”
Lou’s phone started to ring, but he didn’t answer.
“Doesn’t matter, he can’t help us.” the ring stopped “We need to go get guns, lots of them”
***
As they entered the Grover’s house, Renee called out from the living room. Lou let a “don’t tell her” before walking to his study and locking the door, leaving Maggie to distract the woman.
“How’s lunch?” Renee asked, holding Maggie closer by her shoulder
“Lunch was fine, the food was amazing!” she replied with a grin, trying her best to hide the truth. Renee wasn’t easily fooled, and honestly Maggie had never lied to her before.
“Did Lou had “the conversation”?” Renee asked, lowering her voice. Maggie smiled simply as she nodded her head affirmatively, and the older woman continued “He hates to be the bad cop, you know?”
“Papa Lou-Lou has a marshmallow as a heart” Maggie responded, and both women laugh. Renee finally let her go and Maggie moved quickly to the study, knocking on the door softly until Lou opened the door.
“Grab that bag on the corner and fill it with these” he commanded, as he set a few more guns on the pool table. Maggie quickly sat the duffle bag on top of the table and gathered the guns carefully, placing them one by one inside the bag, leaving only the shotguns behind.
Lou moved towards the desk and pulled out a box form the top drawer “Guess I’ll give you your farewell gift now, might come in handy”
She opened the small box and unwrapped the paper, reveling an holster made for her, with a space for her gun on the right and a slot for a small hunting knife on the left. The man really knew her well.
“Thanks Lou” she smiled, as she putted on the holster, rubbing her thumb on the unused leather. Both stopped dead on their track as Renee’s voice called out for them “Lou, you got a visitor.”
“Be there in a minute.” he replied aloud, and walked out of the room.
Maggie walked closer to the door as she listen unnoticed to the conversation. Lou talked to a man, McGarrett. He was the man Lou had called in the car, and apparently he was the one in charge of the Hawaii Special Force, Five-0, and he needed SWAT backup for a pick up a large amount of money by a government transport. Lou quickly dismissed him as his phone started to ring, and received new instructions.
***
Maggie and Lou arrived at Kahana Bay right on time. They were in the SWAT vehicle, like Ian demanded, with the uniforms and tac gear, like he also requested. Lou had put on his own uniform, and gave Maggie one two, just in case she needed to blend in. They exited the truck - there was no one on sight. Lou started to pace back and forward, muttering pleas as he tapped his phone on his hand. The phone finally rang, and he answered it immediately.
“All right, Ian, I did everything you asked me to do.... Maggie’s family... please” a moment after Lou went silent, tearing the phone away from his ear and setting it on speakers
“Mahalo Maggie” Ian greeted “Helping out old Pops, are we?”
He knew who she was “I just here to take Samantha home. We got everything you wanted.” Maggie stated firmly, bracing herself for Ian’s response
“Aww, aren’t you adorable? Slow down, sweet Maggie, we’re not done yet.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Turn around. You see that truck coming your way?”
A grey truck came to sight, approaching at speed “What about it?” Lou asked
“You're going to give those men inside that vehicle the uniforms, weapons and credentials.”
“And then what?”
“Then you're going to help them steal $100 million.”

Steve had taken Sophie to the Culinary Institute of the Pacific admissions office less than an hour after she’d disclosed more of her past to him and had waited there while she filled out her application. There was a fee, of course, and of course the commander paid for it, much to Sophie’s dismay. She appreciated his help, but she didn’t want him paying her way all the time. “Consider it an investment in the future.” he said, echoing Michael’s words before she’d left Massachusetts. “You learn to cook even better than you already do, I get to reap the rewards of being your guinea pig. It’s a win-win situation.” Steve stated with a bright smile. Sophie couldn’t argue with him, especially when he flashed that mesmerizing grin at her.
She was anxious and on edge every time she checked the mail for the next week and a half. The admissions process was stressful with all the waiting. This was the only school she’d applied to so far and if she got in, she could start within a month. She busied herself with cleaning up the house. Laundry was done, floors swept and mopped, windows washed, on just the first day. Steve came home that night and chuckled as he looked around. “The place hasn’t been this clean in years. You know, you don’t have to do everything in one day.” He gave her a smile and a gentle hug. “It looks really good but seriously. Don’t wear yourself out. You’ve done a lot today. Junior should be here soon. Let’s all go grab dinner somewhere.”
That night was her first time at the restaurant of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. She’d stayed there two weeks when she first arrived, but never dined in their restaurant, always choosing cheaper food from a small grocery store a few streets over. The place was fantastic! The entertainment was amazing and of course, the company was great. She found herself examining the food when it was brought to them, noticing how it was presented and other such things she was sure to learn when she got into cooking school. It wouldn’t hurt to take some notes beforehand.
The dinner was great and by the time the trio arrived back home, Sophie was more than ready to fall into bed. The next few days she busied herself with some light cleaning and some reading. On the third afternoon, she decided to go online to see if there was a craft store nearby. To her happiness, there was! And, she discovered, it was on the bus line. She took what little money she had left and made her way to the shop.
She hadn’t been in a craft store in many years. Brian had never allowed her to do much that she sought pleasure in. Crocheting certainly was off the list. But as she looked around at the rows and rows of different yarns on the shelves, her eyes glistened with tears. She remembered sitting on Nana and Papa’s front porch trying to learn how to begin a project. It took her a few times, but Nana had been very patient with her and exclaimed with joy when she finally got it right.
The blanket that she’d abandoned after her parents were killed still sat unfinished in a box in Michael and Lydia’s garage. Maybe one day she would finish it. But now, she wanted to begin something new. She picked out several skeins of yarn, the colors of camouflage, and found a few hooks that were the sizes she would need. Once the items were purchased, she made her way back to the house and begun what would be a gift for Steve.
Over the next several days, after her housework duties were finished, she worked on the commander’s present. It got a little frustrating on a few parts, but she was able to figure it out and things were coming along quite nicely now. It was almost finished. On day nine, Steve had come in with a few pieces of mail. “Is there a Miss Sophie Russo in the house?” he’d called out, a bright smile on his face. “I have what could be a very important letter for her.”
Sophie rushed out from the kitchen where she was fixing herself a light snack and snatched the envelope from him. She tore it open and her eyes began welling up with tears as she read. She had to read it over a few times before the message sank in. “I got in.” she stated flatly. “They…...I GOT IN!” Her face broke into a huge smile and she flung her arms around around Steve’s neck. “Thank you, Steve!” She showed him the letter, the smile never leaving her face. He, too, was all smiles as he read the letter and congratulated her. “This calls for a celebration! I need to make some calls.”
He went upstairs to shower and make his calls as she sat looking over the materials the package contained. She’d have to get some supplies and books, but that could wait til tomorrow at least. Tonight, she would bask in this victory to reclaiming herself in full. When Steve came back down, he informed her that they were going out for dinner with the ohana. Jerry, Kamekona, Flippa, Lou, Adam, Tani, Danny and Junior would be joining them to celebrate Sophie’s big day.
She once again took some note of how the food was presented but didn’t allow herself to think too much on this. Instead, she got caught up in the atmosphere of the night. Their party was a little boisterous, but everyone was in good spirits and she laughed more than she had for a very long time. That was, until the waitress kept trying to make passes at Steve. Sophie scowled slightly at this, but didn’t say anything. Steve was free to talk to or date whoever he wanted to. One of the times, she noticed Adam looking at her during a scowl and he raised a brow. She quickly looked away and was very interested in the conversation Jerry was having with Lou.
Several times this waitress came back and tried to capture Steve’s attention and it annoyed Sophie. Still, she kept quiet about it. She didn’t understand why she was feeling so annoyed by this. Steve was her friend, her roommate, her employer even. Why was this stupid waitress getting on her nerves so much? Steve hadn’t responded to her advances, Sophie was glad to see, but that didn’t stop the wench from trying. Maybe she’s just trying a little too hard to get a good tip Sophie thought, and put the girl out of her mind to enjoy the rest of the evening.
Much food and many drinks later, the group dispersed to go home. Steve, only having had a couple beers, drove Tani and Danny home, then returned for Sophie and Junior. Once they arrived back home, Sophie sleepily wished the two men a good night and trudged up to her room. She’d intended to work more on Steve’s blanket, but instead she fell on her bed and went right to sleep.
The next morning when she woke, the house was empty. There was a note from Steve on the fridge telling her that they’d had to get to the office early today. She went about making herself some breakfast then did the dishes before putting a load of laundry in the machine. While the clothes were washing, she sat down and worked on the blanket. With any luck, she’d have it finished by this afternoon. The sun was bright and just as she decided she wanted to go sit in the back yard and read for a bit, there was a knock on the door.
She opened the door and was surprised when a delivery man from a florists’ shop stood there. “Sophie Russo?” he asked and she nodded. He smiled and pushed a beautiful arrangement of flowers toward her. “If you could sign right here……” She signed his paper and thanked him, then took the vase inside. There was a card in the middle that said simply “To Sophie. From your secret admirer.”
Her brows narrowed as she thought about who these could be from. She didn’t know many people here yet and most of those she did were already taken. None of them had shown any interest in her in that manner. She allowed herself a smile when she wondered if they were from Steve. This would be something he would do just to brighten her day, but it was still early and he was at work. He wouldn’t have had time to call for the delivery. Then panic set in when she thought about someone else they could be from. Had Brian found her? Did he know where she was staying? Suddenly, she didn’t want to be home alone anymore.
She was startled by the buzzing of the washer indicating that the load was finished. She quickly shoved the clothes in the dryer, turned it on and made her way outside and across the street to Miss Kala’s home. She knocked on the door and was glad when the woman answered. Sophie asked for a ride into town and Kala grabbed her keys and the pair was off. Sophie tried to keep her panic to a minimum and not let anyone know she was upset. When she got to the office, she greeted Jerry with a smile. “Hey, Jerry. Mind if I hang out a little while? It was kind of boring sitting at the house by myself.” was all that was offered as an explanation.

What It Mean To Be Entrepreneur
Tumblr media
The road to entrepreneurship is often a dangerous one filled with sudden detours, roadblocks and dead ends. There are lots of sleepless nights, plans which don't workout, funding that doesn't come through and clients which never materialize. It may be so challenging to establish a company it might make you wonder why anybody willingly lays out on such a path.
Yet despite these hardships, every year, tens of thousands of entrepreneurs embark on this trip determined to bring their vision to fruition and fulfill a need they see in society. They start brick-and-mortar companies, launching tech startups, or deliver a new service or product into the marketplace.
So what motivates entrepreneurs to go forth when a lot of others would run in another direction? Though each Individual's motivation is nuanced and unique, most entrepreneurs have been spurred on by one or more of these motivators:
Autonomy -- Entrepreneurs would like to be their own bosses, set their own objectives, control their own advancement and run their businesses how they see fit. They recognize that their business's success or failure rests with them, nevertheless they don't see this responsibility as a burden but, rather, as a mark of their freedom.
Purpose -- Many entrepreneurs have a clear vision of what they want to achieve and feel compelled to work tirelessly to make that occur. They genuinely think they have a product or service that fills a void and are compelled by a single-minded commitment to that aim to keep pushing ahead. They abhor stagnation and would rather fail while moving ahead than languish in inactivity.
Flexibility -- Not everyone fits into the rigidity of a traditional corporate culture. Teachers are often seeking to free themselves from these limitations, find a better work-life equilibrium, or work at times and in ways that may be unconventional. This does not mean they're working fewer hours -- oftentimes, especially in the early stages of developing a company, they're working more and harder -- but, rather, that they're working in a means that is natural and instinctual into them.
Financial achievement -- Most entrepreneurs recognize they aren't likely to be instantly billionaires, but it doesn't mean they are not at least a little bit seduced by the capacity of making a bunch of money. Some may want to set a financial safety net for themselves and their families, while some are wanting to generate a huge gain by creating the next big thing.
Legacy -- Entrepreneurs are usually guided by a desire to create something that outlasts them. A segment of this group is led by ego and a craving for notoriety. Other people wish to create a brand that has longevity and becomes an institution. Another group wants to pass on a source of income and safety to their heirs. There are also those entrepreneurs who aspire to make a lasting impression on the planet and leave behind an invention that improves people's lives in some concrete manner.
If you're contemplating an entrepreneurial venture, you must first identify which of the above mentioned motivators serve as your guiding force. Then consider whether you've got the specific character traits and characteristics that will enable you to flourish as a entrepreneur.
To help you figure out if you have got what it takes, here's what 25 company creators and business leaders advised Business News Daily about what they believe makes a really successful entrepreneur.
"Entrepreneurship is in the core of the American dream. It's about blazing new trails, about believing in yourself, your mission, and inspiring others to join you at the journey. What sets [entrepreneurs] apart is the will, guts and at times recklessness to really do it." [It is ] planning to do something much better than it's ever been achieved before and constantly pursuing improvement" -- Blake Hutchinson, CEO and small business pro at Flippa "Entrepreneurship is... that the continuous thirst for making matters better and also the idea that you're never satisfied with how things are." It is all about imagining new strategies to address problems and make value. Basically, entrepreneurship is all about... the capacity to comprehend [and] systematically examine [an] opportunity and, ultimately, to catch [its] value." -- Bruce Bachenheimer, clinical professor of management and executive manager of this Entrepreneurship Lab at Pace University "The most prosperous entrepreneurs are the people who have self explanatory . Grit consists of persistence, passion and resilience. It is the enthusiasm to achieve long-term goals, the courage to try again in the face of rejection, and the will to do anything better than it has been done previously. The most successful entrepreneurs tend to be gritty ones... they don't give up till they exceed their goals. Whenever the going gets rough and they get knocked down, gritty entrepreneurs bounce right back up and try again." -- Deborah Sweeney, CEO of MyCorporation "The ability to listen, whether it be into the opinions of consumers or employees, is also integral to success. While... you should have the confidence to make your own decisions, it's still incredibly important not to become detached from the individuals whose needs you are trying to meet." It's rarely obvious what to do , and you have to rely on your self a lot when you encounter problems. There are many times when you feel as if things will never work out and you are working at a loss for unlimited months. You've got to have the ability to stomach the roller coaster of feelings that includes striking out in your ." -- Amanda Austin, founder and president of Little Shop of Miniatures "To be a successful entrepreneur, you should have a passion for studying -- from clients, employees and even competitors." -- James Bedal, president and CEO of Bare Metal Standard "Entrepreneurship is, fundamentally, the art and science of constructing profitable systems to assist people in ways that other systems do not. The core competency of the entrepreneur is not business acumen or marketing ability but instead compassion -- the capability to comprehend the feelings and needs of others." -- Logan Allec, CPA and owner of Money Done Right
"Being a successful entrepreneur also entails being a good leader. Leadership is the ability to attract people to a location where they want to follow you, not feel as they are made to follow you. This takes investing in your team . They need to know you are not only going to hold them accountable and induce them to be better, but [you will] also watch out for them when they are struggling. It's not transactional, it is a relationship." -- Steve Schwab, founder and CEO of Casago "Entrepreneurship is the ability to comprehend that the bigger image, find where there is an opportunity to make a person's life better, design hypotheses about these chances and continuously test your assumptions. It's experimentation: Some experiments will work; many others will fail. It is not big exits, huge net value or living a life of glamour. It is hard work and persistence to leave the planet a much better place once your time here is done." An entrepreneur must understand who they are and exactly what they need. Self-awareness is the very first step for an entrepreneur to construct their team." -- Krystal Nelson, founder of I Impakt Consulting "[Entrepreneurs] have to be people-oriented. Your company will perish without a good team to back you up. Study management methods, learn from excellent leaders, [and] review where you are succeeding and failing so you can help others improve. An entrepreneur has to have the ability to construct a team who cares about its job, and to do that, you must care about how you create your team." Most successful businesspeople or entrepreneurs have never given up in their idea. When challenges arise, they've found innovative methods of overcoming them. You ought to have the ability to adapt to changing economic conditions, and innovate and embrace technological advances to keep your clients engaged. These things take determination and a strong focus on the end goal." It could be a company idea, but it could also be visiting the chances in the men and women who can assist you to develop that company. This capacity to see many choices in each circumstance is critically important; there'll be endless challenges that will examine your hustle." Attempting to develop a company or implement on an idea is not difficult. Sooner or later, you're likely to run into issues, lose customers and have financial constraints. It's at this stage you want to get back on the horse and take another risk, whether it's in the kind of a new solution, new marketing campaign or a new client recruitment strategy." -- Mathew Ross, co-founder and COO of Slumber Yard "Successful entrepreneurs appear beyond [the]'fast buck' and rather look at the bigger picture to ensure that each action made is moving toward the total aim of the company or concept, whether that implies getting something in return in the instant." -- Allen Dikker, founder and CEO of Potatopia "Being an entrepreneur is ingrained in one's individuality . [It] is the culmination of a certain set of characteristics: determination, creativity, the capacity to threat, leadership and excitement." [They're ] optimistic enough to believe in themselves, conscious enough to see problems around themstubborn enough to keep going, and daring enough to act again and again. Entrepreneurship is not something you do since you've got a notion. It's about with the imagination to questionthe strength to think and the courage to proceed ." --Jordan Fliegel, managing director of Techstars "You may have to also be a tiny contrarian. Occasionally it requires a man who believes differently than the herd to begin something new and resist the possibilities." -- Akshay (Asher) Khanna, creator of CareClinic "Entrepreneurship is seeing an opportunity and amassing the resources to turn into a possibility into a reality. It represents the freedom to envision something new and to make it happen. It includes risk, but in addition, it includes the benefit of developing a legacy." Everyone thinks they could accept failure till they come face-to-face with neglecting at a significant thing they have put their everything into. To be a successful entrepreneur, you have to be someone who is able to threat failure at the most unexpected personal levels." If something is not working, keeping at it will not make you powerful. But changing your strategy, changing your business model, shifting your plans to allow it to function is the ability of the pivot. You're adaptable regardless of what is thrown at you." -- Michael Maher, chief idea officer of Matters of the Cart "Entrepreneurship is about constantly moving ahead : never stopping, never allowing self-doubt or dread to take over, and believing wholeheartedly that a wrong decision is better than no decision." -- Adam Sherwin, founder of Viakix "Entrepreneurs are the dreamers and the visionaries. Society needs entrepreneurs the same manner the body needs air" -- Cynthia Kirkeby, founder and CVO of all Seasonally New

So damn tired, man. I tried a lot of business ideas that could work for me while staying legal about it. Coming from Brunei, a tiny country with about 350k population and a bad economic climate, my ideas are limited and initiatives are poorly executed.Sure, I've learnt from my failures each time, but I just feel tired from even trying again. My first venture was an online e-commerce store selling gadgets and then realized I can't receive money via PayPal. Shit. Stupid little detail.Second venture was Forex. Tried every strategy, backtest and learn some more. I made some money, cool. But it wasn't enough to sustain as a full time trading career. Working at my day job, I figure I might as well automate my strategy. It worked for the first week very well. Fucked up the following week. Simply because it lacks how to read the news for fundamental trading. I could quit but I need savings. According to calculations, it will take a year to get enough savings to last me 3 months. Moving on.Third venture was Freelance Web Dev and scale to Web Dev Agency. Tough competition but I won a couple of contracts per month. Problem was it was taking up my day job time and made me lose focus. Had to cancel after my third project. AAARGH!!!Fourth venture was working on a simple startup for take down stolen copyrighted software/content for software and content companies/businesses. Partnered with 2 younger fellows. And that was a problem, they were too young. Not only that, we had miscommunication after I set up everything for the startup (company name, domain, hosting, customer management system, email, backup scheduler, etc). We decided since we had no rhythm, we closed up shop. So much facepalm.Fifth venture, affiliate marketing. I hate it. I riddled my blog with lots of offers and ads, gained little traffic and 0 conversions. I realized it's taking way too long to be recognised as an authentic guy to refer others to products, even with my personal reviews. Sigh.Sixth venture, website flipping. My e-commerce shop from my first venture was still running (about 3 years I think) and about to expire. Decided to sell and see if anyone wants to flip it for more. Advertised on Craigslist, Flippa and a few other online ad boards. No catch. Investment wasted. Thought I could use it as a start to build more websites and sell them. I must suck as a WebDev.I'm on my seventh venture, won't say more but it involves food decisions and delivery simplicity for busy people but I'm also tired of working on it. Kinda lost motivation. Burnt. And now I'm here ranting.Sorry for the wall text. Just wanna let loose.

You’Re Starting A Blog What Do You Must Know - Revealed: Things To Know Before You Start A Blog
Tumblr media
I think it was perhaps this article from Sydney about a study of 220000 Australian residents who sat still for long periods. There was a few follow up studies since that freaked me out, especially being that it says exercise doesn't undo all the bad blogging vibes! Great post -thanks for sharing! Be yourself, put it all out there, and you'll resonate with readers without ‘selling out'. I especially agree with point #13 and your rebuttal. Personal branding is sleazy if you try to be someone you're not -people will notice that you're not being genuine. Twitter and don't always mention your products.
Tumblr media
Leave genuine and interesting comments on Linked In; Google +; FB, Get out and ask to guest post.
Once they've seen your advert, the great thing about advertising on most of us know that there is a chance that people will share it of their own free will.
There's quite easy sponsored post that appeared in my newsfeed while I was writing this post. Easy to make and very effective. Long content was working for years. Being that more and more people are should be buying blogs to skip the initial stages of a blog's life. Furthermore, flippa is already killing it. I also love the fact that someone aside from myself has picked up on the images. I always use fiverr and pay an illustrator 5 bucks for maybe 5 images to illustrate my blog posts.
Tumblr media
It not only gives a definitely more unique look -you know that people will subconsciously understand that the article they have just read is of higher quality than most.
Better bet is a strong mailing list that you can use to launch your products and affiliate promotions.
You aren't up the creek must one dry up because Try to think about diversifying your income streams. Most of us are aware that there are tens of thousands of blog themes available for WordPress blogs. My only word of advice is to choose one that is updated regularly for holes in security as you do not need to get your blog hacked with a poorly designed template.
Tumblr media
We have two providers I've worked with in the past that you can trust.
It was a rank and bank scenario type that ultimately had an end.
I would have tried to provide better content for the visitors that will hopefully get shared and liked naturally, I'd say in case I could go back and change how I did it. It was easy income. Fact, something you should better know about Google+ is that it's really about the personal brand of the author. It is google wants to make any individual an useful participant in their search engine. You see, Google+ is on the rise, as we mentioned above. Essentially, in the end it continued bringing me a slight profit.
In the course of 4 months it brought in just under $ 2,Combine that in addition to the 1k I flipped it for and I grossed about $ 3,Taking out expenses from link building and cheap content it continued having a net profit of about $ 1800.
That's a really contentious issue for quite a few individuals.
I once got a really sour email from a reader when I talked about personal branding as they thought it was disingenuous and a sign of a sell out. Personally I believe the selling out part is up to any individual. You can choose to be a honest person of integrity and thus make your personal brand a trustworthy one.
I understand where they come from but, to be honest, in addition understand that it's a necessary evil in today's online world.
Your email list is a means to get into people's inboxes whenever you like.
That can lead to increased traffic to your new blog posts as well as more sales when you launch a product or promote an affiliate product. You think it's best to combine the site like I do now -or start a separate site just for the blog, right? I have a hosted wordpress website for my consulting business and I use amid the tabs for my blog about the focus of the consulting. Question on combining a business webpage with a blog. It has since been copied by lots of 'non Tumblr' bloggers who have found it converts quite well. That is interesting. Take the Tumblr Follow button that slides out of the right hand corner as you scroll down the page. That feature is very nearly impossible to ignore and has played a big part in Tumblr being so viral amongst users of that platform. While syncing of projects, image design, article structure, and all that Well, in my opinion has resulted in a bunch of lost opportunities for a while being that instead of getting things out there I'm mucking around behind the scenes on problems that only I care about, I have a tendency to need things to be perfect, launch dates.
Start by finding the big players on Twitter and sharing their stuff.
Mention it on website and let them know about it.
It's a nice little introduction. So, while working while standing up and taking regular short breaks to stretch the muscles and get the blood flowing, therefore this means we need to start moving regularly. Besides, the bad news is that going for a run or to the gym in the evening does not undo the damage. While researching and developing ideas now instead of later, that means planning. One concern I wanted to tell you about blogging this year is that you really seek for to start thinking about blogging in the next year. On p of that, the trouble is, what I'M saying is kind of the sarcastic/'nay sayer'/life coaches are missing the boat voice -which doesn't go well with the whoo positive thinking crowd, I am most drawn to coaching/self I really struggle with how to find online blogging communities with which to get involved, I'm fantasmo at creating relationships with real people in real lifetime. One of the issues I struggle with has to do with your idea of building relationships. It actually makes a huge difference, In regards to the fractions of seconds. Nevertheless, studies by Amazon, Yahoo and a bunch of others have showed that increments of as small as 2 of a second can decrease sales by up to 7percent. There was a story on the news here just yesterday about a lady who has breast cancer started a blog to document the process and how much it had caught on and helped people. So, at identical time medically accurate and helpful, it may be of great use to people, I reckon if it's personal. Anyway, spend less time building a website and more time building the person behind the website. On p of this, in 2016 I believe bloggers will need to get their faces out there more. Now this increases trust and enables you to create new projects that aren't locked in to just one stale brand name.
For awhile article/content is definitely one that I've been trying out -does mean though that the percentage of articles posted is much much less, as it needs a big while to write out 6000 decent words content.
Best of luck on putting an end to mucking around and pulling the trigger faster on more your ideas!
To always test small, never bet the farm, and make your concepts prove themselves with small wins before shoving major time and money at them. Then again, many do annoy me. I think I can confidently say that 100percent of the blogs I read are because of their content and not their backer, and I don't think I've ever clicked ‘back' because of what was by the copyright. Accordingly the first one reads. Actually, By the way I made my own 10 commandments on blogging. Now let me tell you something. While having started my first blog last year, I am not so knowledgeable on blogging. Though shall never start a blog post without a keyword in mind. That's interesting. I however think that keywords are an important part of your blog. Great post!
Personally I see a tendency that turns out to be more important.
Small and medium size bloggers getting to work gether on a range of projects.
Thanks. You've got my attention gratitude. Also, new to you and look forward to figuring out where to even begin. Dare I say, it's all a bit scary daunting. Just launched a really new chalk enhanced paint line, know I seek for and need to start a blog and get engaged on my Facebook and website. Consequently, the major thing to remember here, however, is that we will see more competition for organic for ages being that more and more people are moving away from the old link building methods of the past in favor of a related content approach to SERP optimisation. To get those back links you're planning to have to get noticed first. Most products have things that are pretty much very similar. Anyways, each blog that you think of is already out there. Furthermore, so that's a big mistake I think. Remember, almost each post that you write was written before. I was intending to write the BEST back links but decided against it as there're a bunch of blogs in my niche that rank with a huge volume of crappy back links.
Better ranking sites are still the ones with back links.
If it's an one man show I don't outsource any content in general.
Seek for to grow an email for any longer being that you just can't trust Google for traffic. This is the case. It's only the mailing list that gives you a constant source of traffic, must something go wrong. I get plenty of traffic from Google I am a little over SERP optimisation. That's interesting. I don't have the patience required to be any good really the little things that make a difference. That said, I love using images but I hate being concerned about them slowing my load time on my site down.
