bezzecchi knows he can’t stay in vr46 forever, and of course he wants to ride an official motorbike. yamaha wants a satellite team for 2025, vr46 seemed to be the chosen one but pertamina (vr46's biggest sponsor) doesn't want yamaha. pramac and lcr are also in yamaha's sights. one between vr46 and gresini will be the next pramac (could be gresini bc marc won’t change another bike to go on ktm and he won’t give up to his redbull sponsor to go to ducati factory sponsored by monster). bez could easily go to the team that will have the official yamaha for 2025 and in this way valentino would be able to save morbidelli (who I assure you is already more outside than inside pramac)
there’s a reason marco didn’t renew for 2 years 😉
Anon unless you don't bring me receipts I'm not going to completely believe it ☺️ I agree that it's unlikely that Marc will switch bike again but never say never. And while yeah franco is probably not getting renewed by pramac give him a couple more race before calling him washed I'm with the Italian comms on this one
Also if I see Marco getting in a twelve kilometers range from a yamaha seat I'm going to kill all the executives, vale and them myself ☺️

Hey, hope you're doing well 😊
I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog and the works that you post. You just have a style of writing that I like very much and makes me want to read more, even if it's about a driver or scenario that I typically wouldn't gravitate towards.
I was also hoping you might be able to help me with something. I noticed that a while back you posted some works about MotoGP and I want to broaden my motorsport interest/knowledge outside of F1 and its associated series. I watched the race last weekend and have to admit I was quite lost for the most part about how everything works and who is who besides a few names I recognized 😅
So I was wondering if maybe could recommend some blogs on here, creators on other platforms, YouTube videos or something like that that could help someone as lost as me understand motoGP a bit more.
Absolutely no worries if you don't want to, I just wanted to try my luck since you always seem so nice 😊
hi anon! first off, thanks for your kind words <3 i love whenever i have the chance to talk about motogp to anyone so of course I’ll help you out!
i started watching motogp in early 2019 because my cousin was watching a race and i thought it was interesting. i understand your confusing because trust me, i was confused as hell when i watched my first motogp race.
the official motogp youtube channel actually posted some helpful videos, in my opinion, about learning the basics to motogp.
motogp explained
race start
track limits
manufacturers and teams
of course they’re a big old (like two or three) but they’re still informative enough. i did send this video to a friend who also wanted to get into watching motogp.
yammie noob | motogp guide

MOTOGP 2022 - Rider's Championship
The 2022 MotoGP season is done and naturally, what else would I be doing than a statistics masterpost on the results on the season? Exactly. So here we are for the second year in a row, with confusing stats as per usual. I'll be doing more specific posts later, like rider head to heads and constructor stuff later but this is the starting point.
I'd like to note that all of these stats are just for fun and they are naturally context dependent and open for interpretation. Because the sample size is so small (only seven races) one result changes up the averages a lot. Still, I personally find these a useful tool when thinking about the championship so far and how we got here.
terminology explained:
q. avg - the average qualifying position q. med - the median qualifying positionpole + front rows - poles + starting places on front rows q2 - the number of appearances in q2 r. avg - the average finish in races that the rider finished, DNF’s not included q. med - the median race finish, DNFs included ppr - points per race, out of all races finished how many points scored on average wins + podium - number of wins + number of 2nds and 3rds dnf - the number of retirements * - anything to add, like missed races, team changes etc

2023 motogp le mans recap/review
it was a fuckin race wasnt it
marco bezzecchi won the 2023 le mans motogp with a 5-second gap to 2nd place jorge martin. it was not an accident that he led the championship for a hot minute, and it's not an accident that he's now only one point away from the top again. if you send him an invitation to lead at the front, he's just, gone. kid drives. yeah, the desmosedici gp22 is eminently drivable, but c'mon, he's schooling the two current spec pramac ducatis completing the podium behind him. if bez can improve and have better bad days from this point on, he's gonna be a challenge to pecco bagnaia's championship campaign that's not pecco bagnaia. well, i guess at least it's not pecco bagnaia that took out pecco bagnaia this time around
top gun maverick vinales is very scary. both in the sense that he's very quick and he makes iffy moves. having said that! i certainly do not have enough wheel knowledge to assign blame on this occasion. i'm not being an enlightened centrist here; i'm just really that stupid. it's certainly fucking horrid that mav slapped pecco who was sat on the ground, that's poor form (it's fucking funny that they were fucking made to shake hands right away and had to be ridden on the same bike into the paddock in cabe-cabean configuration). but, was it just impossible for mav to turn his bike back to make the chicane there? he was just sat up there in the middle of the road, after making the pass on bagnaia at the first part of the chicane. pecco turned first for the over under and was just met with a faceful of aprilia. i had a silly thought in the middle of the race, just the usual anlic brain momento, "'i actually like the aerodynamic devices because you can't ride as close to each other, therefore reducing the jeopardy of the sport, and reducing half-assed passing moves; you only pass when you've got a good plan and full confidence', says me, an idiot". well. what we've got is this perilous move. and various others. i know that i sang high praises for bezzecchi up top but he didn't pass marc marquez for second place as much as walked him towards the long lap track, letting jorge martin pass both of them for second. and then he passed jorge for second proper, and then the stewards told him to drop one place, so he gave the place back to martin and then passed him back again (on that penalty: i guess making another rider go off-track is slightly more severe than "just" contact racing like marc's pass on pecco in the sprint? is this the stewards being consistent at least this weekend? i don't know. i don't think the stewards know either). all the while the true victim in all this marc marquez stayed in fourth. it's a mess. it's pretty funny
i had a thought while watching marc's incredible defensive struggle against jorge martin for second place, having been able to pass him again. seeing how he just braked better into turn one compared to martin, offsetting the pace deficit of the honda against the ducati. seeing 2020 world champion joan mir and recent multiple race winner alex rins fall of their respective hondas unceremoniously in the teens places. how did quartararo pulled off his early 2022 challenge with that yamaha? how is marc marquez pulling off this with this honda? the answer is, well, he doesn't. he drove that honda on the edge, and then it just went from 100 to 0, and he too fell, granting local johann zarco the final podium place. it's frustrating. we always wonder about how world champions would fare on midfield equipment, having to "fight for positions" again. well, at least lewis hamilton is finishing races right now
juxtapose that 100 to 0 with jack miller's cinderella shoes crumbling underneath him in real time. i heard the world feed commentator wondering whether jack miller's on management mode after slowing down and getting overtaken by bez. rofl since when does jack miller know management. early in the race i joked to myself that with all the carnage, everyone's gonna take each other out and it's gonna be augusto fernandez charging towards a cooked miller for the win. hmh. miller's pace was entirely gone by like lap 13 out of 27. and then he literally fell off. i guess that's the point of jackass, isn't it: pain
brad binder got taken out of contention (well, "contention", he started from 10th) when alex marquez touched him and made him go wide in the lap 1 carnage. and then later on in the race binder had to pass a Very struggling miller, he made that ktm go sideways like it be doing, he utterly failed, went off track and had to take a long lap penalty. horrid day for factory ktm. at least brad got to Pass Some Fucking Bikes (™motorsport101 shout out) on the sprint yesterday
luca marini almost became a legend doing a marc marquez save with his elbow on the ground, and then alex marquez unfortunately just ran into him anyway. it's comical and horrifying seeing alex trying to baby crawl out of the racing line while also sliding along it at 80kph or something. and it was just a local yellow. my f1-watching heart was quite challenged. f1 we roll out the red flag if 3 pieces of gravel got on the track
a lot of attrition in this race, with only 13 bikes finishing. and moto2 champion augusto fernandez actually just kinda survived all of it, fended off aleix espargaro, and finished fourth, making me deliriously giddy. ha, you thought i was just joking about him a few paragraphs back. that gasgas red looked really good near the front. make it happen more often

Ducati Tarik Ulur Perpanjangan Kontrak VR46 Racing Team
Tumblr media
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
Ducati dominancia: Francesco Bagnaia és a Ducati Lenovo Team Desmosedici GP versenygépe már a második egymást követő évben MotoGP világbajnok, ami a Borgo Panigale cég rekordszezonját koronázza meg. A Ducati szenvedélye és technológiája a nemzetközi szintű versenyzés mércéje: egyetlen más motorkerékpár-gyártó sem tudta még két egymást követő szezonban megnyerni a MotoGP és a WorldSBK versenyzői és konstruktőri világbajnoki címét. A Ducati Corse 2023-as álomszezonja a WorldSSP-ben a versenyzői és konstruktőri világbajnoki cím meghódításával tovább gazdagítja a trófeatermet. A határok azért vannak, hogy túllépjék őket. Kihívások, amelyeket le kell küzdeni. Rekordokat kell megdönteni. A történelem megismétli önmagát. MOTOGP 2022 1/2: Rider's Championship
I'm a 'little' late with these stats of MotoGP's 2022 season halfway point, but in my defense I have also enjoyed a summer break. Anyway, here are the statistics for individual riders after the Dutch TT in 2022. Once again I'd like to note that these are not gospel and just intended to be some data analysis for fun. They make for interesting comparisons but it's still simplifying racing.
And at last I'd like to direct everyone to @waru-chan8, who has done great visual posts for the 2022 MotoGP season alongside the lower classes and MotoE with very helpful visual graphs.
