Remember what influence an action scene had on us during our childhood! Few amongst my brothers & friends have seen & experienced a jump from the first floor of a building. Just to see if we land like our heroes Mithun Chakraborty and Jeetendra....In Hollywood such jumps are explained as the leap of faith & yes they are very much appreciated 😄 by the audience in today’s time....if you have taken such leaps in your childhood & come out unscathed then my friends don’t think you are unbreakable....am sharing this with the only purpose of telling you that there’s a movie released by the name “Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota” it has many such leaps, jumps & dialogues referred from various Indian & Hong Kong films which had strongly influenced us (movie lovers) in the later development of our life 😊.....so if you have a habit of drawing parallels or creating analogies to the cliches of Cinema in your regular conversations then do plan & watch this one....

They say...to find a gem..you got to rummage through tons of trash. The director Vasan Bala it seems has lived on a staple diet of pulp cinema all his life. And that resonates so perfectly in his debut film that comes more than half a decade after he was meant to debut with Peddlers. Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota is more of a homage than a film. It takes all the goodness from the Manmohan Desai films of the 80s, mixes it with a generous dose of the Karate era films of Bruce Lee and comes up with a concoction that is delightful, fuzzy and super entertaining. Infact if the film had any of the younger superstars headlining it, then it would have opened on a blockbuster note. But less audience doesn't really affect Vasan Bala's ambition to dream big. He casts debutante Abhimanyu Dassani in a role that takes some creds but the young kid has some spunk and that holds this film together. Radhika Madan who was sensational in Patakha is kick ass in this film. This is as much her journey as it's Abhimanyu's. Gulshan Devaiya as the Karate master and the psychotic villain is a hoot. Very rarely does he get roles that brings out the magician inside him and this is that kind of a film which gives him the liberty to go all out! Mahesh Manjrekar as the guiding light is a force to reckon with. Jimit Trivedi as Surya's father is fun and Shweta Basu Prasad is smash in a cameo. One factor that makes the film immensely watchable is the film score. The fight sequences are set to rollicking tunes that make it even more entertaining. This for me has to be the most fun I have had at the movies this year and I strongly recommend you to watch it. It's a rare GEM! . . Male rape
Rape is India's fourth most common crime, and it's a major problem all across the world. It is commonly regarded to be a crime committed by a man against a woman, but have we ever considered the possibility that it may be the other way around?
Rape is defined as illicit sexual activity, generally sexual intercourse carried out against a person's will, violently or under fear of injury, or with a person under the age of 18 or incapable of legitimate consent owing to mental disease, mental unconsciousness, deficiency drunkenness etc.
Rape can occur at any age, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or age. There are many such incidents, but the majority of them go unreported because individuals are afraid that revealing them will cast doubt on their efficacy. Rape of people who aren't females is frequently undetected, and as a result, most people are unaware of it.
Male rape victims were researched for the first time in the 1980s, and the research was mostly focused on child sexual assaults. In the twenty-first century, a male rape victim still finds it difficult to disclose sexual assault because we live in a society that values men's ability to defend themselves and others. Most individuals are worried that reporting a sexual assault will raise concerns about their virility or that if they were raped by a man, they will be labelled queer.
In a nation like India, males are continuously encouraged to hide their feelings behind the phrase "Mardkodardnahihota," leaving them divided between the fear of societal repercussions and the need to express themselves.According to Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code, rape is a crime that can only be committed by a man against a woman. People have been made to think that because of their privilege and status in a patriarchal culture, a man or boy cannot be raped or sexually attacked. Sexual abuse is a national issue that requires the attention.
Men have been trained that showing vulnerability or any emotion that makes them appear weak is inappropriate. Toxic masculinity requires that males project a dominant and "alpha" personality. Men are ignorant of their sentiments and how to deal with them because of this unreasonable ideal. Men's anger difficulties and violence have been connected to the taboo against expressing natural human emotions like grief, fear, and disgust.
The idea of establishing gender-neutral anti-rape legislation has been continuously rejected by the Indian Parliament. In India, a male rape victim is not considered a victim at all. The male problem is rapidly worsening, showing itself mostly in jails, but also in our everyday lives.
We have to change the law in order bring equality for women and men. A criminal's penalty should be as terrible as the crime itself, and it should be applied to all people, regardless of gender. Whether male, female, or trans, the victim suffers the same physical, mental, and emotional agony. Due to the usage of gendered terminology, a male cannot bring a rape prosecution against a woman. This means that a man cannot claim sexual assault by a woman because rape can only be committed by a male.
Gender-neutral rape legislation must be introduced in India's parliament, just as they are in Bhutan and other nations. Males may be raped by women as well, and the Indian court system and citizens must acknowledge this. The law should recognise men as victims, not just abusers.

I always knew that stardom is very temporary: Radhika Madan
Tumblr media
I always knew that stardom is very temporary: Radhika Madan - Radhika Madan transitioned from being a successful TV star to a film actor earlier this year, which made her realise people have strong prejudices against small screen actors. Radhika gained fame for featuring on the show Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi for nearly two years before making her big screen debut with Vishal Bhardwaj's Pataakha. "When you transition from TV to films, people assume that on TV there's a particular type of acting where you're doing stuff which is very over the top. They also need to understand that when people are watching TV, they are also doing ten other things," Radhika said. "To grab their attention, you need to do a little extra. It's not like a cinema hall, where the lights go off and you only have the screen to focus on," she adds. Her successful stint on TV made her realise that "stardom is temporary" and often just a by-product of good work. "I always knew that stardom is very temporary. In TV, I knew fame vanishes as quickly as it comes. Till your show is on air you're a god. I prepared myself not to get attached to it. I am humbled by the love coming my way but I don't make it my aim that 'please recognise me'. I didn't make it my sole purpose to be loved by the audience. I was being myself and just by the way it happened. I give myself reality check every time... If I don't do good work, this won't happen." Her second feature film, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota bagged People's Choice Award in the Midnight Madness section at Toronto International Film Festival 2018 before making its Indian premiere at MAMI. The film is now headed to Macau international Film Festival and will have its premiere on December 13. "I feel humbled and grateful that it's happening with us. The film is being recognised internationally. I am enjoying every bit, I'm not trying to overthink anything. Each festival audience reacts differently to films so we are equally nervous for the premiere," Radhika says. Directed by Vasan Bala, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota chronicles the story of a young man born without pain receptors who longs to defeat 100 opponents in a kumite tournament. The 23-year-old actor says she is lucky to have arrived in the industry at a time when everyone involved in the filmmaking process are attempting something new. "I feel fortunate I am entering the industry at such a time when people aren't afraid to take that leap or risk. 'Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota' is a very risky project. People told me either it's going to work like how or go down the drain." The film stars Abhimanyu Dassani, Gulshan Devaiah, Mahesh Manjrekar, Jimit Trivedi and is backed by Ronnie Screwvala through RSVP Films.
