Ever since I saw the original concept sketches for Ladybug, in the Mini Menace mock-up comic covers, I've been fascinated by the original Ladybug, Marietta. What would MLB be like if Marietta was still the main character?

And then I got to wondering further...what if Marietta and Marinette met?

So, kind of like the Twins AU with Marinette and Bridgette, I'm introducing my Mini Menaces AU, with Marinette and Marietta Dupain-Cheng.

(Plus, I'm just a sucker for tomboy/girly girl sister aesthetics).

Mini Menace started off with grey eyes, then they went to slate-blue for a while, before flipping back to grey for a while in early 3D production work.

I'll be honest anon I am currently in the middle of finals week but Marietta brainrot be strong so-

This is as much as I can do.

And yes. I took some liberties with mini menace's chat noir design

Saw some people complaining about people calling Socqueline Bridgette or even the existence of Bridgette (I’m honestly just confused lol), so I made this reference with a couple extras to help people out.

I’ll be frank, I don’t really care for what you call them because I’m a PV fan, but if people complain, fight, or start discourse over really simple things, I can’t really sit down. I don’t know how bad it got, but it’s appearing on my feed, so I’m putting this here to hopefully clear the air.

-I legit do not know why she resembles Marinette

-Not “Bridgette”

In the bottom left corner, there is text that reads: *Note: You are allowed to call this design Bridgette if you want. Nobody will stop you. But the amount of people that have mistaken fanon for canon is causing this to get very concerning. Bridgette’s name and personality was not created by anyone associated with the show. Please don’t ask the creators about this, the legitimately won’t know what you are talking about.

First of all, thank you for the request, anon!! It made my day when I saw it 🥺🥺💗

This was fun to dive into! The original concept art by Thomas really fits my style/vibe, and I LOVE the grayscale + monocolor red combo, probably too much haha. Although I could go for a more PG version like the cover that ended up at the end of The Evillustrator 😂

Honestly, I think the fandom is sleeping on this Marietta/early Marinette design, so I'm glad you and I can help it spread 😎

Starlit Ladybug and the Army of the Storm (Season 1.1) - Chapter 1

For the longest time, I’ve had a vision in my head. That vision was of a version of Miraculous Ladybug that was completely dissimilar to every iteration of the show, and probably very different from most everything the fanbase had produced as fan content. Miraculous Ladybug has frustrated me for a while, but it has also fascinated me at the same time. I coped with this frustrated fascination by crafting a very nonsensical secondary narrative inside my own head, but something went wrong down the road. The pieces of this once incoherent story started moving into place, and before long, I had a solid story buzzing around inside of my head. 

Now, what good is a story if only its creator knows it? A creator must tell their story to the world around them! And that is what I am here to begin doing. Join me as we take a journey with the Starlit Ladybug.

When Marietta, a young aspiring designer, is found by a peculiar pair of earrings, she becomes the superpowered Ladybug with powers of creation and luck! After a run in with her destructive and misfortunate counterpart, Chat Noir, the two face off against Aurore Beauréal, an abhorred criminal with meteorokinesis. Aurore seems to be working for a shady association called the Night-Walkers, and is after the prized "Gate to Madness" for unclear reasons. Just what lies on the other side of this gate? Who are these Night-Walkers? And why does their name sound so familiar to the superheroes?

Fun miraculous development fact Marinette was known as just Marinette Cheng for the majority of the development of the show. Like Dupain wasn't added to her name until sometime after the show went through its big reimagining and Adrien had already replaced Felix for quite some time.

She also used to have a different name during Mini Menace Ladybug, Marietta.

(Marinette, still mourning the loss of her old life and buried in histrionic fae drama, has no interest in entertaining the girl who stumbles into her shop... at least until she realizes Lila would be the perfect medium to extract revenge on Gabriel Agreste.)
