copic marker brush - i use this one for like 85% of what i post

halftone hospital's basic tone kit - if i've ever got a screentone on anything this is what i use. halftone hospital has a bunch of other fantastic free resources too!!

shale brush from marmastry brush set - pretty sure this is an edited procreate brush lmao probably my second most used brush though

i use other default procreate brushes from time to time, but these are my usual brushes!! i also have some crumpled paper texture i made about a year and a half ago that i use a lot, might upload em somewhere at some point idk

your art is amazing, incredible, enthralling, and every positive thing in languages around the world!!!! May i ask who were the artists that inspired you and influenced your style?

oh wow, thank you so much!! <3 this is a very fun ask.

i'm inspired by pretty much every cool artist i come across on the internet, but style-wise... well i was a huge manga nerd and that's how i learned to draw basically (which i am certain you can tell.) so works like Full Metal Alchemist, Mushishi [蟲師] and XXXHolic influenced me heavily i think. drama and action from fma, subtle expressions and tones from mushishi, and a big love for decorative flowy lines and stuff from clamp (not to say i'm proficient at any of these things but if i were to identify my origins this would be it!) oh, and studio ghibli works were a huge childhood inspiration too.

for more recent inspiration/influences... i follow a lot of artists but i suppose those who come to mind right now are

jen zee; art director for supergiant games, such good character art, hades and transistor my beloved...

@ choodraws on instagram; love their stark black over organized still life, it's very beautiful and unsettling

@ marmastry on instagram; such good comics, illustrations, colors, textures... i aspire to use color like them

@ formyths on instagram; again, beautiful colors, such evocative comics/illustrations and huge inspiration with regards to panelling

and yeah, mainly marmastry (on twitter) but i take bits and pieces from plenty of people- fandom wise though, whatever the disco elysium fandom has going on is fantastic

idk if this has been asked before, but what program and brushes do you use?

i use procreate!! these are my favorite resources:

this copic marker brush (theres an updated version here, but i havent downloaded it to compare the two just yet)

marmastry's brush set, which has a bunch of edited versions of procreate brushes (i use the shale brush most)

Halftone Hospital from Victoria Douglas which has a collection of great comics brushes/textures/fonts

i use the copic marker brush for nearly everything, and the shale brush is a close second. halftone hospital has a ton of great stuff, i mostly use the halftone brushes for texture but they just uploaded a ballpoint pen brush that ive got to try soon..... anyways i'll put some examples of the brushes in my art here so you know what youre lookin at before following links haha

Hey! I really love your work! Your style is a huge inspiration as I try to come up with my own style of illustrations. I was wondering you're willing to share what program you use and what types of brushes? (if you're comfortable ofc)

hello !! thank you so much for asking, i solely use procreate currently! though before that, for all of middle and highschool, i used a pirated version of paint tool sai + gimp alongside a huion tablet that was handed down to me from my brother lol

I don't have my ipad currently so I can't list all of them from memory, but i use a lot of textured brushes with color jittering settings. For coloring I primarily use this set from cryvtozoology (they also made the rainbow pencil brush i use for sketches sometimes) I've also used this set from marmastry which has nice texture as well!

also before i had to ship off my ipad for repairs again ;((( i messed around with this from twulfs (who is an absolute angel for compiling those) there's a lot of very fun halftones, patterns, and marker brushes in there, it's a lot of space but it was worth it imo.
