Hello, hope you’re having a nice day. Respectfully just letting you know Justin Massey is from the Crownlands, not the Stormlands
Thank you for the correction!
You are right, as the one and only Justin Massey / Marya Seaworth shipper I should do a better job of getting my facts straight. I vow to improve!

This piece of the continuation follows "Before The Burning" right where it left off. When I originally finished Arya and Sandor's journey, I didn't feel the story was completed, so I kept writing. This is part two of what will probably be ten. And yes, this contains Arya's sea journey West of Westeros.

Davos Seaworth
Davos was a slight man, his low birth written plain upon a common face. A well-worn green cloak, stained by salt and spray and faded from the sun, draped his thin shoulders, over brown doublet and breeches that matched brown eyes and hair. About his neck a pouch of worn leather hung from a thong. His small beard was well peppered with grey, and he wore a leather glove on his maimed left hand. When he saw Cressen, he checked his descent. - Clash, Prologue .
Davos sat beside his candle and looked at the letters he had scratched out word by word during the days of his confinement. I was a better smuggler than a knight, he had written to his wife, a better knight than a King's Hand, a better King's Hand than a husband. I am so sorry. Marya, I have loved you. Please forgive the wrongs I did you. Should Stannis lose his war, our lands will be lost as well. Take the boys across the narrow sea to Braavos and teach them to think kindly of me, if you would. Should Stannis gain the Iron Throne, House Seaworth will survive and Devan will remain at court. He will help you place the other boys with noble lords, where they can serve as pages and squires and win their knighthoods. It was the best counsel he had for her, though he wished it sounded wiser. - Dance, Davos IV

Marya Seaworth
A true sword of fire, now, that would be a wonder to behold. Yet at such a cost... When he thought of Nissa Nissa, it was his own Marya he pictured, a good-natured plump woman with sagging breasts and a kindly smile, the best woman in the world. He tried to picture himself driving a sword through her, and shuddered. I am not made of the stuff of heroes, he decided. If that was the price of a magic sword, it was more than he cared to pay. - Clash, Davos I

Devan Seaworth
He found the maester seated at his long wooden table covered with books and scrolls, across from the three children. Princess Shireen sat between the two boys. Even now Davos could take great pleasure in the sight of his own blood keeping company with a princess and a king's bastard. Devan will be a lord now, not merely a knight. The Lord of the Rainwood. Davos took more pride in that than in wearing the title himself. He reads too. He reads and he writes, as if he had been born to it. Pylos had naught but praise for his diligence, and the master-at-arms said Devan was showing promise with sword and lance as well. And he is a godly lad, too. "My brothers have ascended to the Hall of Light, to sit beside the Lord," Devan had said when his father told him how his four elder brothers had died. "I will pray for them at the nightfires, and for you as well, Father, so you might walk in the Light of the Lord till the end of your days."
"Good morrow to you, Father," the boy greeted him. He looks so much like Dale did at his age, Davos thought. His eldest had never dressed so fine as Devan in his squire's raiment, to be sure, but they shared the same square plain face, the same forthright brown eyes, the same thin brown flyaway hair. Devan's cheeks and chin were dusted with blond hair, a fuzz that would have shamed a proper peach, though the boy was fiercely proud of his "beard." Just as Dale was proud of his, once. Devan was the oldest of the three children at the table. - Storm, Davos V

Random thought that has been in my brain for a bit: we know that Stannis thinks Davos is dead in TWoW...
But what does that Marya think/know?? Does she think his head is mounted at White Harbor too? ☹️

Davos calling Marya the best woman in the world with total seriousness and thinking he would never sacrifice her to save it... the bar is so low for husbands in Westeros but he has cleared it all the same!
Also Stannis admitting he wishes Cressen had been able to retire peacefully and live in comfort for the rest of his life... we see you Stannis.

Marya Seaworth/Davos Seaworth, for the prompt: hands
(Written for Day 5 of Valentines Rare Pairs Week)
The first thing Davos would do each time he returned home from the sea was to kiss his wife’s hand. He took her hand and brought it to his lips, his eyes never leaving her face the whole time. Truth to tell, Marya would have preferred a kiss on her lips straight away (after all, they had been separated for quite some time), but Davos always started with her hand, because it was her beautiful hands that he noticed first, he claimed, the first time he saw her at the fish market.
Marya’s sister Annie used to tease them about this. “He kisses your hand like he’s some great lord coming home to his lady wife,” Annie said, with a grin. Her voice turned gruff, imitating the chilly tone of a great lord, “I hope you have been well during my absence, my lady.”
Davos protested, in mock outrage, “I didn’t sound like that!”
Marya backed him up. “I’d never have married him if he did.”
They never minded the teasing, not from Annie. Back when they were courting, and hiding it from her father (who most certainly did not wish any of his daughters to marry a smuggler, who had a long list of carpenter’s apprentices he deemed suitable to wed his daughters), Marya’s little sister Annie had aided and abetted them in their secret.
It was Annie who walked in the middle, between Marya and Davos, but ever so slightly ahead, so the couple could hold hands without it being too obvious to anyone who was watching. It was Annie who went to the docks with Marya so Marya could say goodbye to Davos before he sailed away. It was Annie who held up her right hand to swear to their father that the sisters had gone no further than the fish market, that they certainly had not gone to the docks because there was nothing to see at the docks except for ships and they never cared about ships at all, Annie insisted.
“I’m no great lord, Annie, but your sister is the greatest lady in my heart,” Davos would say, the next time Annie teased him about kissing Marya’s hand.
Marya would roll her eyes. Annie would giggle and say, “Someday he’ll make you a lady, truly.”
