Let's start Anime Classic! ~ Also check out my YouTube ♪ ~ The other day, I posted a photo on Instagram of my Queen of the Night blooming at home. The flowers only bloom overnight, so if you do not watch them closely at night you will miss it. Thankfully I was lucky and managed to admire the blooming flower! Phew, thank God! ♪ \ (^-^) / ♪ And this is how it looked the next morning. The flower already wilted. Such fleeting beauty ... (゜ _ ゜) Hello, this is Wakana (0￣ ▽ ￣0) / The flower of my Queen of the Night is also the motif of my《Wakana Live 2020 magic moment》 🌼 Let's bring music to life together for this special moment at Otemachi Mitsui Hall on April 24, 2021☆((o(^∇^)o)) Well, well! Yesterday there was a press conference where I announced the start of a new project! !! The name of the project is 《Wakana Anime Classic 2020! Together with all-female group 1966QUARTET, we will start a series of concerts delivering anime songs in a classical arrangement!!! We have been talking about and preparing for this project ever since last year and now we are finally able to announce it. The word “anisong” encompasses a wide range of songs, I'm sure there are various songs that are very dear to you and forever engraved in your memories. As for me, I've loved Studio Ghibli's films ever since I was a kid, and even up till this day they are an integral part of my life. Many of the songs from those movies have been a loyal companien throughout the years and I find myself breaking into song every once in a while without even noticing. Now that I'm an adult, my 5-year-old niece also likes Ghibli movies and she sings all the songs together with me. I truly feel that these movies and their soundstracks have been loved throughout generations. I want to sing the pieces I have loved for a long time but I also want to expand my horizon and sing more recent songs, I hope that with this concert we can create something that everyone can love and that will bring back fond memories of the past(*´ー｀*) At yesterday’s press conference I performed a couple of songs live together with 1966QUARTET for the first time. The two songs were, "Kimi wo Nosete" from "Castle in the Sky" and "Ai ni Dekiru Koto wa Mada Aru Kai" from "Weathering with You". 1966QUARTET is a quartet consisting of two violins, a cello and a piano. On stage I was in a weird and new position being surrounded by the piano and violin on one side and another violin and cello on the other side. It was my first time having this kind of position on stage, it was nice to hear everyone's playing in stereo, and it was a lot of fun to sing while being surrounded by the gorgeous music ♪ From left to right there is Minori Masuda-san on piano, Risa Matsuura-san on violin, Rieko Ito-san on cello and Yuki Hanai-san on violin (Just look at me being surrounded by gorgeous women!) All the arrangements are done by the leader of the group, Risa Matsuura. From now on I will prepare for December, I really can’t wait to create music together with everyone during these special hours. Please look forward to it! o(^-^o)(o^-^) We will be awaiting you at Kioi Hall on December 22! (it’s my first time performing at Kioi Hall!) And there’s more!! Yesterday, I uploaded  a "short ver." of “Kimi wo nosete” to YouTube, I performed it being accompanied by Sin-san! ♪ ヽ (´ ▽ ｀) / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdmt2Uxopxs This recording is what I was referring to when I wrote on my last blog post, "I had the opportunity to sing to my heart's content" *laughs*. Summary:

There's system trouble at the Sakuragi Laboratories! Satoshi and Go, who normally live at the laboratories, both have to go back to their own homes while the system is getting fixed. Go is happy he gets to meet his father and mother again after not seeing them for so long, but he gets told they can't come home due to a sudden job they have to do. Go half expected that this was going to be the case, as it so often is, and as he bows to the inevitable he ends up running into a "Karakara", a visibly distressed Pokémon. Go and the others decide to help the Karakara search for the object it's looking for, but will they manage to find it?!

Funimation Announces Theatrical Run And English Dub Cast For Sing a Bit of Harmony

  Funimation has formally announced the English theatrical premiere and staff/cast for its latest co-production with J.C. STAFF in original production Sing a Bit of Harmony. Funimation describes the film:

  When the beautiful and mysterious Shion (Tao Tsuchiya) transfers to Keibu High School, she quickly becomes popular for her open-hearted personality and exceptional athletic talent… but she turns out to be an AI in the testing phase!

Shion’s goal is to bring chronic loner Satomi (Haruka Fukuhara) “happiness.” But her strategy is something no human would expect: she serenades Satomi in the middle of the classroom.

  After finding out that Shion is an AI, Satomi and her childhood friend, engineering geek Toma (Asuka Kudo), steadily warm up to the new student. Along with the popular and attractive Gotchan (Kazuyuki Okitsu), the strong-willed Aya (Mikako Komatsu), and judo club member “Thunder” (Satoshi Hino), they become more and more moved by Shion’s singing voice and earnestness even as her antics bewilder them. But what Shion does for Satomi’s sake ends up involving them all in some serious pandemonium…
