so I've been playing fire emblem three houses about four years after everyone else already did, because while I've lowkey wanted to get into the series since I was like, ten (I distinctly remember trailers for sacred stones lol), I've always been intimidated by the combat system. but with engage now out it was really easy to find used copies of three houses marked down, so I went ahead and said fuck it, why not?

I went into this game pretty blind on spoilers, about the only thing I knew was that if you chose black eagles you'd hit a point where you have to either side with edelgard or oppose her. and once I learned you can romance your player character with her I kinda always knew I was gonna pick her house and side with her because...shipper brain rot honestly. what I did not know was that siding with edelgard meant going up against the extremely shady but seemingly kind and vaguely maternal religious leader.

...in short, this game is now my therapy let's set this church on fire babyyyyy.
