Pi Number Tie.

The number π (/paɪ/) is a mathematical constant. Originally defined as the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, it now has various equivalent definitions and appears in many formulas in all areas of mathematics and physics. It has been represented by the Greek letter "π" since the mid-18th century, though it is also sometimes spelled out as "pi". It is also called Archimedes' constant. Conceptos básicos de Estadística

La Estadística es la rama del conocimiento encargada de recolectar, organizar, modelar y hacer inferencias a partir de datos de una muestra extraída de una población. Pero ¿Qué son los datos? ¿Qué es una muestra? ¿Qué es una población?

Se entiende por datos al conjunto de información recolectada, puede ser mediciones o respuestas de una encuesta.

Una población es el conjunto completo de todos los elementos que se someten a estudios, ya sean puntuaciones, personas, mediciones, etc.

Una muestra es un subconjunto de miembros seleccionados de una población, o sea es una parte de la población.

¿Cómo se clasifican los datos?

Los datos pueden ser cuantitativos (numéricos) o cualitativos (categóricos). Los datos cuantitativos son usualmente mediciones o conteos. A las mediciones que dan información de la población se les llama parámetros. A las mediciones que dan información sobre una muestra se les llama estadísticos.

Los datos también pueden ser discretos o continuos. Son discretos cuando saben guardar secretos XD Nah, ntc. Son discretos cuando se representan con números de contar, o sea, 0,1,2,3... como una cantidad de votantes. Son continuos cuando pertenecen a un espectro que contempla números entre enteros, como litros de leche por ejemplo.

Niveles de los datos.

Los datos tienen 4 niveles de medición:

1. Nominal: Los datos son etiquetas o categorías. Por ejemplo, los números en las camisetas de los jugadores de un equipo de soccer.

2. Ordinal: Los datos se pueden acomodar en algún orden, aunque las diferencias entre datos carecen de sentido. Ejemplo: Las calificaciones de un salón en A, B, C, D y F; se pueden ordenar pero restar B de A no tiene significado... como la vida, como todo.

3. Intervalos: Se parece al ordinal con la adición que aquí las diferencias tienen sentido, pero no existe un punto de referencia. Ejemplos: Temperaturas y años (años como fechas).

4. De razón: Similar al anterior, pero con la propiedad adicional de que existe un punto cero o de referencia con sentido. Ejemplos: distancias y precios.

Y esto es lo básico de la Estadística... en parte, iré subiendo más cosas sobre este tema más adelante. Hay varias cosas de las que quiero hablar en este blog pero la verdad es que no tengo mucho tiempo para ello. Ayer terminé el trimestre en la Universidad y ya sólo me quedan 4 clases para egresar como Físico. Aún debo cursar 19 más de Matemáticas, así que debo tratar de ponerme al día con esa carrera... voy muy atrasado. En fin, que me enrollo. Trataré de subir contenido más seguido. No quiero hacerlo como un blog personal, nunca fue mi intención que este blog fuera de ese tipo siempre he querido que sea más bien educativo pero tal vez intente una mezcla de ambos ahora y publique contenido del que estudio en la Universidad.
