my shipper heart had been growing over the course of kinbaku and through the first daredevil + elektra fight scene, but the moment that clinched it for me was -- strangely enough -- the diner scene in regrets only. elektra was gloriously funny (which i wasn't expecting!) and the angry flirting / sexual tension was off the charts incredible.

Alright so I hope this isn't too weird of a request, but do you think you or somebody could put together the ideal 10 song mix Mattelektra playlist? I've finally gotten my writing mojo back and wanna write for my favorite OTP ever, but I need the right music 😭

Hi Anon!! Thanks for the ask and ahh sorry I didn’t answer this sooner (or like yesterday, during favorite songs day :p). 

I wanted to at least get this public so other people can chime in with their song suggestions in the replies or reblogs (I know a lot of you must have some good songs you’re sitting on!). I’m kind of shit at playlists, or more specifically, it takes me forever to curate them and sometimes the songs are not perfect and then I’m like eeekkk and I feel weird about sharing imperfect playlists, but I do have some solid favs on my current mattelektra playlist to get you started - I like to pick specific songs that represent different stages of their relationship because I’m weird like that, so depending on what you’re writing, maybe some of these will be more inspiring than others??:

1. love on the brain - rihanna - It’s sexy as hell and perfectly encapsulates the love / hate / love dynamic they have throughout DDS2. 

2. pull me down - mikky echo - Gives me super strong college Mattelektra vibes!!!

3. like a river runs - sia / dark paradise - lana del rey - Both of these represent Matt’s post-DDS2 emotional state for me!!

4. trouble - hasley - Hot yet painful, great Elektra POV song.

PS. Other folks who have sent in asks, I’m going to try to get through them this at some point this weekend, just have less time (and less than ideal wifi) than I thought while being at SLCC!
