Cut off jeans shorts is a piece of clothing that I would never spend money on. So, I made my own from a damaged pair of @levis. I cut just above my knees, fringed the edges evenly ( I need to keep the level of refinement😊) and personalized by embroidering a floral motive. Two trends in one piece and in my own way. As you can see, I wore with espadrilles. They made my cut offs looks more grownup. A must when you are no longer on your 30s. There were more important things this morning than play with my makeup. When the weather forecast is calling for snow 😩, hitting the market early is a must. So the minimal was done to be presentable that early: concealer, mascara, lipstick (although only I would know I was wearing it 😷), jeans, scarf, sneakers. Then, there I see someone in pajama pants... I don’t know who started with the idea that going out with pajamas and sleepers is cool, is OK. It doesn’t require a lot to show that you dressed with intention. Another day feeling like a weekend! Believe it or not my husband and I are on vacation, an AT HOME VACATION! So today is no makeup day... I have been binging on Hallmark Christmas movies🤪, and traveling the world by experiencing new things. First we went to Ecuador, and had a taste of an amazing chocolate from #toakchocolate. Later on we will be in Russia building a #daviciru puzzle that came directly from there. It’s hard though to get away from what I love to do, which is playing with color! So, here it is. That’s it! Today is the start of a new decade. As my last experiment, I tap into the feminine universe. A touch of fur and lace. I am not that delicate, so here comes the boots, the belt and and my pixie haircut to add balance. I had fun tapping into different visual universes. I usually don’t think about my age. In a few days I will be starting a new decade, but today I thought and felt. After spending hours cleaning the snow😩, I need to recharge myself, and going back to my inherent style was all what I needed. Dressing up my blue jeans is where I found comfort. Going back to tailored pieces, and having everything belonging to my color palette kept me energized all day long. Colors can definitely give or drain our energy. Finally, for the day after the snow, my waterproof insulated HEELED (noticed the caps?) winter boots came out from hibernation. A few more years and it will be considered vintage. This pair of boots became a staple for those “after snow” winter days. At this point, we are inseparable.
