Everett couldn’t believe he had just gotten through the ceremony without having a panic attack. Of course the wedding had turned out to be much bigger of a crowd than he wanted. That was why they had gone to the courthouse to make their marriage legal months ago, even though no one but Sawyer and Naomi knew. He felt so anxious standing on that alter - Matt’s entire family watching - but as soon as he looked into Matt’s eyes, all of his worries had disappeared. After exchanging vows, Everett’s in Italian to show Matt how much he loved his family’s history, which was now Everett’s family, too. As the ceremony ended, they held hands, walking down the isle and back into the building as everyone cheered. Naomi and Sawyer took turns shooting off confetti, getting others to help as well. Everett sighed of relief as they got inside, wanting his anxiety to calm down. That part was over...now they could have fun with their friends and family. As they got upstairs to their private room for the next half hour, he turned to his husband after the door was shut. 

“Did I do okay, Mr. Smith-Stone?” He asked shyly, but a smirk formed on his lips as he put emphasis on their new shared last name. “Even though we were already officially married...now we’ve had the whole...extravagant deal.” It was over now, and it had been what his husband wanted...for them to declare their love publicly in front of everyone. He knew he’d have to tell Matt that Ellie showed up, and that his father did, too...but his throat kept closing up, so instead he focused on his husband. “God...I love you so fucking much.” Everett murmured, leaning in to kiss his husband passionately.
